For those of you that know Japanese or are learning Japanese, how do you try to keep fluent in your daily lives? I'm learning Japanese in college and I've finished memorizing katakana, so I can read sentences coherently except for when there is kanji with no hiragana superscript.
>>
I learned japanese so I could play Japanese video games. I now play those video games. Question why you're learning it if you're not going to use it. If you have no reason, just pass your classes and forget it.
>>
I am doing ajatt so maintaining my japanese is not a problem at all.
You should check it out too.

Memorizing Katakana/Hiragana is the easiest part. I learned Arabic script in a week years ago and I can still read it despite never reviewing it. Once you properly learn to read+write the Kana it will stick with you forever. I imagine Kanji functions the same and will probably make words easier to remember compared to other languages because you'll have the words associated with a unique character. You're gonna follow two paths concurrently now.

1. Learn Kanji, start with the most common stuff. This is gonna take a while.
2. Memorize common phrases/verbs/and adjectives - - - > Understand the Grammer/Syntax- - - > Start consooming Japanese media. Use Japanese subtitles. Try to memorize and understand all the lines in an episode. You can also memorize and recite pages in a book. Honestly you have to get creative at this step but you want to immerse yourself in the language. Think of how children learn to speak. School is good but alone it's not enough.

Until after all, I can feel death come...

Yeah but for most people I imagine they end up just sort of adrift in one of those neutral hells the series has. People who are neither good nor bad seem to get neither reward or punishment in the afterlife, theyre just sorta left to drift until reincarnation.

Like there was that one ghost who was worried he was going to hell in the manga but Komachi said his sins werent bad so he just drifts around in a magic ghost swamp for a long time.

I mean, if you’re a sinner then I guess you’d have reason to worry.

can someone help me find a song. it was an old 80s(?) song singing by a male singer which everyone said he looked like light yagami from death note. the song starts like some violin going ''tu ru ru!''. it's not a sad song, more like move. the music video is just him dancing in two outfits and i remember some ''green stuff''. i think the song is in an old mecha anime.

Anyone else a fan of J-Core? I recently downloaded a 300GB J-Core collection but it's kind of overwhelming and I'm not really sure where to start aside from listening to a few artists I was already familiar with and skimming albums in alphabetical order. Anyone have any recommendations?

I like Karin. (nostalgic pop-rock), Ishibashi Eiko (experimentation minimalistic), Gotou Mariko (originally punk idol pop, now EDM denpa), Samezame (women emancipation rock) for example.
