My bumper cracked today just turning into a parking spot, stock wheels, height and suspension. How do I cope with this? how the hell did this even happen? I'm using prestik to hold it in place now :(
The prestik probably won't hold after a few heat cycles. Is it retarded to make use of flex seal, the silicon kind, to keep it together?
>>27608729i raised my car up on offroad springs shocks front rear gonna put knobblies on and spacers next for wheels and struts fuck the lowering jews
>>27608742Look up proper bonding methods for that particular plastic instead of guessing. Why wouldyou not use the internet to find out the best way to perform a repair?Plastic welding is cheap BTW.
>>27608901I want to buy a truck for this exact reason I'm tired of scraping and always misjudging heights on the curbs and trashing my shit
>>27609889mines a old falcon its kinda cross between a crown vic and a mustang with a barra turbo absolutely love it
So after getting>freeair in my tyres, I think I found the issue. My fronts should be 2.4 with the rear at 3, my right front which is where the crack happened was 3 and the left was 2.2. I assume the difference in height caused the stress and led to the bumper cracking :(Note to self, always pump your own tyres.
>>27609880It is fairly cheap yet still expensive to get done properly as I have gotten quotes. I will get plastic welding done eventually but for now the prestik is holding it surprisingly well, making it look like just a scratch on the paint.
