I want to cast Holy Fire on Baalist Satanic trannies who sacrifice children and drink blood. A literal holy fire that will burn their bodies, and purify their evil souls through suffering imposed on them by Lord Christ himself.

How do I learn this power? I tried talking to local priest but he said that only saints can do this.

The interview wasn't that interesting
Dugin has in his mind the idea that Orthodox Russia is actually Oriental and so not affected by Western Decadence but that couldn't be further from the truth, we whine about the French Revolution but Joseph de Maistre once wrote that when he went to Russia he expected them to not be affected by the Enlightenment and Revolution, he was proven wrong very quickly
Not to mention the Bolshevik Revolution and the decades of Communism, they're as Spiritually destroyed as the West is, if not more
We could play the same game, argue that only the Anglosphere is decadent, and that we in Continental Europe are separate from them and will 'survive', Philosophy is divided between Analytic and Continental in the Contemporary era, and Germans a houndred years ago differentiated themselves from the Western French and English, so if it were to happen it's as legit as what Dugin is saying
>>

Thank you for the interesting summary. Dugin has always been a clown.

What is the current "most scholarly" translation of Thomas? I'm writing, for lack of a better term, a "layperson's pitch" to academia about re-dating Thomas, and I want to use whatever the equivalent of the NRSVUE is so that I'm not dismissed out of hand (I don't know greek or coptic, so many people will dismiss me out of hand, but I do hope for at least an "okay, give me your pitch" out of a few people.) Or is it better to just throw up the interlinear translation and hope? I was using Gathercole but I disagree with several of his translation choices compared to the interlinear.

Russia and Ukraine have always been Francophilic to a fault. The fact “Ukrainian Baroque” is even a thing shows how manifestly Europeanized both countries were as soon as they came in contact with “the west”. Dugin has always been a low hanging fruit but any part of his philosophy under the slightest bit of scrutiny quickly shows itself to be soft-Fomenkism at best (we wuz real khans n sheet) and at worst a Lemonov collaborator whining “Slava Rossii” as a New York leather daddy metaphysically rearranges his guts

Russia was far more thoroughly destroyed and earlier than the West. Hence the Lady of Fatima asking for it to be consecrated, no longer even seeing it as Orthodox. Whether you believe in Fatima or not, it still reflects the thought of Russia at the time where even poor Portuguese people can say "Hey, at least we're not Russia."

Years of listening to Handel's Messiah and Christmas celebrations made me kind of wince at the way the NAB translates Isaiah 9. But now I see it as brilliant. It's very incarnational.
>For a child is born to us, a son is given to us;
>upon his shoulder dominion rests.
>They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero,
>Father-Forever, Prince of Peace.
"Mighty God" is the literal rendering, but God-Hero is the idiom it's trying to convey. Of a God yet a Man on the battlefields. Same with Wonder-Counselor (Not two separate words Wonderful, Counselor like the KJV). A God that both a genius at strategy and vanquishes his enemies personally. Isaiah was giving these qualities of a God run dominion to a future baby child he saw. It's almost more Messianic than the famous Isaiah 7:14 verse.
Of course, it's not the whole story and that's where Jews erred, but that's another issue.
Anyways, I don't feel like posting this anywhere else. I've grown to like the NAB.

The Russians are not Western, but they are unmistakably European and their recent efforts to LARP as a colored nation is their greatest calamity since Bolshevism. They are just close enough to the West to be greatly influenced by it, but not enough to understand it very well. This is perfectly exemplified by Dugin's confused diagnosis of the Occidental malaise as "individualism," when there is clearly nothing liberal or individualistic about the ruling ideology of today. Liberalism was the final fruit of the Judaizing tendencies of Protestantism: it was the idea that all white men should be able to pursue personal enrichment without any obstruction from aristocracy or higher authority. Needless to say, liberalism lost decisively. It was merely a tool the Enemy needed to demedievalize Christendom by increasing the concern for secular affairs, and it has now been superseded by a boundlessly cruel decentralized totalitarianism where dissidents to a strange social justice cult are tarred and feathered.

Ironically, I won't embrace a lot of esoteric thought because it streams from individualism too. They share that with Protestantism desu. Not mystics, but modern gnostic and theosophical movements are too turned too far inward for their own good. And the fruits of it in the current world of gurus and Gaia TV guests is a further step lower and just American schlock. Everyone is so badly enamored with themselves and their connection with divinity sometimes think they're God themselves. If anyone isn't struck with the Holiness and Otherness of God, they're not approaching divinity yet. This more of the ego. Only democracy would make a man foolish enough to rope in God as his equal and casually approached as if they're one and the same.
Ironically, a weirdo like Lovecraft was more correct about gods in a sense, but he was talking about evil, chaotic entities. But purity and holiness is its own form of mindcrushing presence, like Lovecraft's horrors. A horror to sinful men like ourselves.
The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.-Proverbs 9:10
>I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said:
>“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
>The whole earth is full of His glory!”
>And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
>So I said:
>“Woe is me, for I am undone!
>Because I am a man of unclean lips,
>And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;
>For my eyes have seen the King,
>The Lord of hosts.”
>Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said:
>“Behold, this has touched your lips;
>Your iniquity is taken away,
>And your sin purged.”-Isaiah 6:1-7

Russia and the Orthodox World at large are the 'East of the West', different from England and France, but not exactly Turco-Mongol in any way
And the whole SJW-Woke-Leftist thing going on in the Anglosphere and to a (maybe) lesser extent Western Europe is just a case of people forgetting that virtue is found between two vices, instead of choosing the virtue they chose it's two vices, just look at picrel

Every esoteric thing you see around here is basically transcendental egotism. The only escape from this is becoming a practicing Christian in a Christian community where spirituality implies sacrifice for others and communion with others. Otherwise, it's a dead end of self-absorbed delusion.

>just a case of people forgetting that virtue is found between two vices, instead of choosing the virtue they chose it's two vices, just look at picrel
A lot of modern Progressivism was borne from Eschatology, of all things. Specifically Post-Millenialism. That the true Millenium is the spread of the Kingdom of God and changing the landscape of the world. All of the early abolitionists and even feminists of all things (a lot of feminists were Methodist types) were Postmillenialist in nature. Up to the the Civil Rights era of MLK Jr. "I Have a Dream" is pure Postmillenialist vision. Many hymns of these traditions speak of the same thing.
>Onward, Christian soldiers,
>marching as to war,
>With the cross of Jesus
>going on before!
But the Left somewhere along the way decided they didn't need God. They wanted the Vision of the Kingdom, but no Kingdom of God. They listened to wifebeaters and degenerates like John Lennon instead of Jesus. They squandered their own rich traditions and gave it to their enemies. Christianity in Western (but especially American) politics slowly got fused with strictly capitalist and personal morality tendencies of Republicans. And instead of Postmillenialism's social gospel, Premillenialism's remoteness and pessimism about the world took over. And without God or any foundation, the Left just mistook everything unraveling and coming apart as the "way forward" merely for being different.
Apologies for derailing and not being very esoteric. Just chiming in.

Freemasons would be cool if they were really secretly founded by the lost Templars. I don't think the Templars were ever bad. Makes zero sense for them to turn 180. Lot of shenanigans between the French king and the pope at the time. But Freemasons being Templars sounds like just as much bullshit too.

>Over 100 different charges had been leveled against the Templars, including heresy, homosexual relations, spitting and urinating on the cross, and sodomy.[3] Most of them were dubious, as they were the same charges that were leveled against the Cathars[14] and many of King Philip's enemies; he had earlier kidnapped Pope Boniface VIII and charged him with nearly identical offenses. Yet Malcolm Barber observes that historians "find it difficult to accept that an affair of such enormity rests upon total fabrication".

watching porn is sinning with your mind. it still is lusting. it affect the way you perceive reality and hinders you from seeing the presence of God in the world and especially in other people as you transform them into objects of your pleasure. you just have to avoid it and any kind of opportunity of it, but it can be hard. the only way is to ask in prayer that the temptation is taken away. asking God for help against impure thoughts is the only thing that truly helped me personally. also maybe read Evagrius and St John Cassian on these issues.

thank you anon for the answer and the reading material. i used to fap to porn basically every day up until half a year ago. but i still fall into it sometimes nowadays (however without masturbating). do you think i should still go to confession for watching it? when the urge hits i look at it for a bit to let it out of my system and im good for the next few weeks. does that fall into the category of habitual sins?

The next time someone tells you that Logos in the NT is borrowed from Hellenistic philosophy (as even some patristic writers leaned into, let alone Gnostics), clarify this: It is a far more ancient Hebrew concept of the Aleph Tav. Aleph and Tav being the Alpha and Omega in Greek. It is the Word, the Messenger or Avatar of the Lord by whom he created and interacts with our world.
Aleph Tav is scattered throughout the scriptures but left untranslated (picrel). Yet it is the very Soul of Holy Scripture at the same time.
In the Aramaic Targums, which were paraphrases and commentaries predating the heavier use of Greek when teaching Jews, they sometimes interpreted this presence and active agent of God as the Memra. The Word. And Rabbis and modern Jews betray themselves as truly lost since they divorced themselves from pre-Christian Aramaic/2nd Temple Judaism. It was too close to Christianity that they had to cut their own limbs off.
>From the beginning with wisdom the Memra of the Lord created and perfected the heavens and the earth.-Genesis 1:1, Targum Neofiti
>And the Memra of the Lord said: “Let there be light” and there was light according to the decree of his Memra.-Genesis 1:2
Some commentators were so keen on all acts done through the Memra that he was virtually fit in everywhere.
>"The Memra," instead of "the Lord," is "the consuming fire" (Deut 11:3). The Memra "plagued the people" (Ex. 32:35). "The Memra smote him" (II Sam 6:7). Not "God," but "the Memra," is met with in Targ. Ex 19:17 or Ex 25:22: "I will order My Memra to be there". "I will cover thee with My Memra," instead of "My hand" (Ex 33:22). Instead of "My soul," "My Memra shall reject you" (Lev 26:30).
The writer of John was a barely Greek literate. Not a Hellenist. He was just translating Aramaic thought for Greek readers. The Greek itself is poor. John is usually given in first year courses because it's so simplistic (yet sublime).

Jesus being the Beginning and the End the Alpha and the Omega/Aleph and the Tau also means that he is the (Greek/Hebrew) Alphabet/Abjad, since God spoke everything into creation and that the Son is the Word of God, and back in those times numbers were written with the Alphabet/Abjad (Gematria and Isopsephy) making Jesus the Logos, Alphabet and Number(s) of God
This neatly ties in with both Kabbalah and Neoplatonism, you don't seem to want to connect Christianity to Platonism, but Christianity is both a fulfilment of Paganism and Judaism, if you only accept one you stop being Christian and either become a Neopagan or Judaizer
>>
>>37850445
>Do you have any articles that go into this in detail?
Not that I know of. There is a book (picrel) that seemingly goes into it at length, but quite honestly, I've never read it. There are others who've drawn the connection between Aleph Tav and Alpha Omega of OT and NT, but not in relation to the Word of God.
The concept of the Memra was taught occasionally in the past, but never all that popular for some reason. So many well meaning teachers gravitate towards Philo, which is incorrect. Philo was drawing upon the Memra himself. John Wesley knew better. Once again proving how insightful he was. From his John commentary:
>The Word—So termed Psal. 33:6 and frequently by the seventy, and in the Chaldee (Aramaic) paraphrase. So that St. John did not borrow this expression from Philo, or any heathen writer. He was not yet named Jesus, or Christ. He is the Word whom the Father begat or spoke from eternity; by whom the Father speaking maketh all things; who speaketh the Father to us. We have, in the 18th verse, both a real description of the Word, and the reason why he is so called. He is the only begotten Son of the Father, who is in the bosom of the Father, and hath declared him.

I'm not saying there weren't truths in the Hellenistic world. Else John wouldn't have seen fit to adopt it. Just that this was independent. Whatever is good in the world however ultimately came from God. It's not incorrect to learn from some things. They're just not the source.
Funnily, the first translators of the Chinese bible (Chinese Union Version) did a similar thing for the Chinese:
>In the beginning was the Tao
>And the Tao was with God
>And the Tao was God

>To penetrate the mysteries, to bless with a good conscience, to be great and yet empty, to return to stillness and be forgiving, to be compassionate and to deliver all people, to do good deeds and help people reach the other shore—these are the great benefits of our path of cultivation. To calm people in stormy times, to help them understand the nature of things, to maintain purity, to nourish all things, to respect all life, and to answer the needs of those whose beliefs come from the heart—these are the services the Religion of Light Church can offer. (Chinese/Nestorian Stone Sutra 3:54-55

>One Christmas, the emperor (Taizong) even issued an imperial declaration that acknowledged the good works of the Christians and of their Christ: “Due to your wonderful and meritorious works, many people have found salvation. Even if one didn't want to talk about the Trinity per se, one can not escape the Eternal Word/Messenger of the Lord in ancient texts. Or in Enoch as well.
>And there I saw the One to Whom belongs the time before time, and His head was white like wool. With Him was another being, whose countenance had the appearance of a man, and his face was full of graciousness, like one of the holy angels. I asked the angel who went with me [...] concerning that son of and who he was, and whence he was, and why he went with the One to Whom belongs the time before time.
>He answered and said to me: 'This is the son of man who has righteousness, with whom dwells righteousness, and who reveals all the treasures of that which is hidden, because the Lord of the spirits has chosen him, and whose lot has the pre-eminence before the Lord of the spirits in uprightness for ever. This son of man whom you have seen shall raise up the kings and the mighty from their seats and the strong from their thrones, and shall loosen the reins of the strong and break the teeth of the sinners.-1 Enoch 46:1-4

I had a dream where I was naked in some kind of bright white futuristic church. Nobody seemed to mind, infact they seemed a little surprised when I asked for clothes. I just cited I was cold and they relaxed a bit. For reference, they were wearing some kind of white kimono but with trousers, it looked like billionaire monk clothing. One guy leads me to some sort of vault and it's really dark in there. The deeper we went the more suitcases lined the floors and walls and eventually we began walking into a shallow puddle. Eventually the hallway brought us to a large relatively empty room that was incredibly dark and the floor was full of inch high puddles and I couldn't see the top nor bottom of the room. In what I assume was the center was a ruined wall. My guide told me some clothes would be there but as we approached I noticed the face of a mannequin poking out. It was really out of place but I felt like I've seen it before so I paid it no mind. I looked to my guide who was scared looking at the wall. I turned back to the mannequin and diverted my eyes to the upper right of the wall where a crack had turned into a hole. In it I could only describe as the face of Satan. They say you can't see faces too well in dreams but this was so distinct it was like looking at it in 4k. We both ran out and the doors shut behind us. I tried to draw a pic of what I saw but I'm not the best artist. Are there any stories like this in Christianity?

It is not.
No one will receive the Holy Spirit until they come to that realization and wonder of the love between the Father and the Son. For that is the who the Holy Spirit is - that Love shared between the Father and Son, and that is the proof itself where he proceeds from by looking at our own Baptism in fire. He only comes at this moment for us too.
I'm not saying Orthodox have not been baptized in Fire. They're just holding to formulations in their heads, but not the testimony of the scriptures nor their experience in their own hearts. Which they may very well have. Sometimes head knowledge and creed gets in the way of that.

The easy mode path begins with all of us.
>You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment.
>***The second is like it***: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.-Matthew 22:37-39
We will always approach God closer by imitating his own sense of love and service.
And as much as I love devotional and set prayers, the most important prayer is this:
>Pray without ceasing.-1 Thessalonians 5:17
Not necessarily just the Jesus Prayer. But constant awareness and conversation with God. Know that he truly is. We can not talk behind God's back - even as I speak I can not - nor in our heads and every moment of our lives. Offer it all up to God. Even if you're angry! Even if it's complete nonsense, he will know the sense behind what even we ourselves can't articulate. All of it can be a prayer. We are not called to be lonely souls in our own little headspace.

Since I mentioned Gethsemane in another thread, I thought it more appropriate to post this part here. The Last Temptation of Christ, according to visionaries, was Gethsemane. That is, Satan didn't try to appeal to normal vices like he would any other man. He tempted Jesus AS a righteous man. He tempted him...... with all of us.

>Satan, in the hopes of causing Jesus to waver, suggested to him every thought by which he would have tempted at the hour of death an ordinary mortal who might have performed all these actions without a superhuman intention; for it was hidden from him that Jesus was the Son of God, and he tempted him only as the most just of men…..

Our Divine Saviour beheld with bitterest anguish the ingratitude and corruption of the Christians of the first and of all succeeding ages, even to the end of the world, and during the whole of this time the voice of the tempter was incessantly repeating: ‘Canst thou resolve to suffer for such ungrateful reprobates?’-Anne Catherine Emmerich
Whether you want to believe that is up to you. It's obviously not canonical, but even so, would this not at least been a thought to pass Christ's mind.. to have seen what his Church would be through the ages? And yet he still went through with it. Praise the Lord.

>"When I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."-John 12:32
Tell me how a peasant from a beaten down jurisdiction of the Roman empire about to be executed in the one of most brutal fashions delighted at his coming death - and not only that, said he would attract the entire world to himself. You can't even chalk this up to manipulation by his disciples? How could orchestrate it for 2000 years? Besides that, Christians for the first couple of centuries were embarassed of the cross. Few artists depicted it like they do nowadays, since it was still a living reality of the brutality the world was under. It took them a long time to come around to Jesus' himself own thinking.
And even if ones dislikes Christ and wants to destroy everything about his followers, his words remain true. He still draws his own enemies to him.

Zionists have blood on their hands and will have to answer for all of it. I pray that they would repent before their life ends, but they are not likely going to. Nor is it worth arguing with them.
Or maybe it's worth pleading, but they are under a strong Satanic delusion. I never hear about Zionists changing. They stack up their sins and bodies to high heaven. They delight in all of it. Palestinian Christians like this video have tried to plea to Western Protestants for years, but no one listens to them. I wonder how many of these people are alive. This was filmed several years ago in "peace" time and they're still miserable.

>Well the person we were talking to wasn't really talking about the Palestine war that much but he was just, in a more general sense, espousing the whole boomer worldview that Jewish people have always been poor oppressed innocent victims who dindu nuffin throughout all of history.
That's how Protestant golems have always been, even from the start.
Edward I (Edward Longshanks) was one of many European leaders who banned Jews in the 1300s), and they never had a place until Oliver Cromwell kill his king and implemented Puritan rule. He immediately let the Jews back in, who got to work at controlling the Bank of England (which eventually to financial power in the colonies, and then everywhere), all because he felt sorry for the poor Jews and that supposed King Edward and Catholics were big meanies.
These people call themselves "Sola Scriptura", but they don't take much of it seriously. Neither the warning above about service to the "least of Christ's brothers" or the warning just what has happened to Jews. They've been demonic since they killed him. And they were kicked out of all of those countries for good reason. They are cursed.
>All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”-Matthew 27:25
Not content with their own sins, they inflicted their entire race with that curse. The only thing that can cure them is Christ himself, but that's the Catch 22. That's the very person they want to destroy and make war with. Everything they do and have ever done is all with the goal of destroying the Church. And everyone who aids in them in this has always been a golem themselves. Protestants, Muslims, atheists, Marxists, LGBT, all of it has been under the control of Jews for one specific reason.

God didn't call Zion to be a destroyer of the world. But that a river would flow from the temple of Zion and would nourish the whole world. And that the river comes from the Messiah himself. Not cursed Jews.

Yeah with the New Covenant the status of the Chosen People has switched from Pre-Christian Jews to Christians and Christianity
The Jews that rejected Jesus became the first followers of what we could call 'False Judaism', like how since the New Covenant the Philosophers switched from Proto-Christians to believing in a false Religion

Evolution as a product of modern science is only a 'likely story', like all of science, it's not and can never be the truth as it's always changing, in comparison to religion it's simply Doxa, opinion
But don't confuse Genesis with horizontal history, the fall of Adam is a fall into time and space
And the problem with Evolution(ism) is that it affirms progress, 'Mankind was inferior, now it's superior', when traditionally the opposite is the case, there existed a Golden Age we will always be overshadowed by

On the topic of Judaism that anons were discussing, I don't mean to be cynical but sometimes I really think that boomer evangelicals are just too stupid and brainwashed to even bother debating with. A total waste of time. I know these kinds of people. They don't want to hear the truth and they are not going to listen to you.

>Oliver Cromwell kill his king and implemented Puritan rule. He immediately let the Jews back in, who got to work at controlling the Bank of England
You can tell this talking point is fake because I seem to come across it at least once a month from people who don't read history. Cromwell was petitioned to allow Jews to worship openly again, which was ignored. Cromwell was tolerant of other Protestant sects, but that was it. He was one of the major figures in the destruction of European Christianity, but he didn't import any Jews.

How is it fake? They came back, in a real sense, in the 1650s, under Puritan rule. Whether they had formal agreements or changed laws, I don't know.

The third temple is Quran, the first one was Torah and second one was gospel. Why do you think in Jerusalem there is this 3 temple? Because it's the same religion.
>>
>>37871200
If Muslims were "third" in succession, why did they devolve back to something even dumb than a Jewish mindset? Muslims do not know God. He's an almighty mystery to the Muslim mind and nothing more. He simply must be obeyed. Hence the meaning of the word Islam, which means Submission. That's all they will offer the world. Whether by force or self-suppression, you must simply submit. And there is no "temple" element. A temple is worthless if God doesn't dwell inside of it. To the Muslim, he's an outsider. The idea of God dwelling in anyone - first with Jesus and then through the Holy Spirit to all who will accept him - is foreign to everything Muslim.

Islam is a Satanic false religion which worships the black cube called kabba, which relates to Jewish kabbalah, which is Babylonian black magic. The synagogue of Satan, the spiritual Sodom and Gomorrah as John says in Revelation, having abandoned the true God, the Holy Trinity, in favor of Moloch and Baal, having the Star of Rempham on their flag, and being promoters of covid "vaccine" and feminism and woke propaganda.

I don't think that ALL of them are that bad. Some can be be reasoned with.
But others, yes you are absolutely right. It's like they don't actually care about the Bible at all. A rabbi could perform a human sacrifice Moloch ritual right in front of them, and they would say that it's antisemitic gentiles who are really at fault here. Some of them really are that irrational.
>>
>>37871948
They're golems. It's really not just a meme.
A golem isn't some giant clay automaton. They are only called clay in the sense that flesh is metaphorically clay, and the "giant" nature of the golem are really just armies that mobilize in service of the Jew. They are mystically attached to the Jew as mindslaves and only exist to destroy Christ's Body and work. They have no other mission. Everything they do and will do is always to serve that purpose. Evangelical Zionists are their fiercest and biggest golem yet. We are all cursed to have seen it and live in their timeline. The golem who walks in Christian lands. Who erects false images and institutions and destroys Christendom from within. Who makes the entire world only think of golems when they hear the word "Christian" and gets us killed in the process too. Who distracts and makes people forget about Christ's one true Church. Who leads just about this whole site itself astray where anons are so mindbroken and infuriated by golems that they actually think all Christians are circumcised and support Israel. They've managed to cause this damage to a 2000 year old Church in just 100 years.
But this is the cross the Church must bear.

First temple is tabernacles made of flesh.
Your first iteration of being a follower of ha Derek, the way.
Moses , Elijah, john. Preparing a way for the Lord. Outside of the bible is means a person, your body. You have heard the good news but the presence of God is too powerful it will kill you.

Second temple, a believer being sanctified.
A place on earth where God can dwell .
Jesus of Nazareth. As holy as a person born of a woman can be. The zenith of human experience.

Third temple is the resurrectes body. The perfect temple.

The schematic of the temple is a map of the human body, the holy of holies is your head.

1st 2nd 3rd temple are euphemisms for ones current spiritual state that's why Christians call Christ the third temple, the new creation born from above ( see Jesus talking to Nicodemus). You are a teacher in Israel and you don't know these things ? Jesus saying this to the reader who also doesn't realise.

Jesus fulfils the Hebrew bible.
The secret of the Hebrew religion is that salvation is a verb, a biomechanical and biochemical processes. Hence, a very personal relationship.

In the Quran, surah 23 hints at the esoteric gifts .

I'm Catholic. I love a lot about Orthodoxy, but I've said a little before that I think they've been too beholden to governments and nationalism. They don't embrace the universal nature of the Church as much as they should. It's sad seeing brothers with completely identical churches like Ukraine or Russia or Georgia and still be brutal to one another.
And when I mention Evangelicals above, I'm trying to be clear that it's the Zionists. I don't hold all Evangelicals to that. But I am disappointed that they don't clean it up. They're so open to inquiry and democratic discussion and competing theologies and assume everyone is saved for merely mentioning Jesus. That one should give a pass on everything else. They don't have it in them to stomp out the evil among them and rebuke it for what it clearly is. There is no mystery or confusion to any of Zionism to me, as it's a mere competing theology. Dispesantionalists especially teach that Jews are under some other Covenant and the Church was an afterthought meant for Gentiles. And of course, Jews need their Temple rebuilt. This is clear blasphemy that needs to be stomped out. Almost the entire early Church was Jewish. It makes no sense.

Tabernacle, 1st , 2nd and eventually third temple- correspond to spiritual state in the believer . Told in scripture and follows 'israels' spiritual state from the wilderness to full glorification in Christ.

I deeply wish that I had just thrown myself into Christianity immediately and placed unconditional trust in God instead of gradually coming around to Christianity and Christian Orthodoxy. Don't feel too bad. There were saints like that too. St. Augustine was raised by a Catholic mother, but he went astray, lived a worldly life, had a son out of wedlock, dabbled with Manichaeism, and all that time his mother was praying for him. He was 31 when he finally came around.

Really you don't need to look any further than David himself if you want perhaps the most compelling example of all. If I'm dwelling on how pathetic I am, I have already learnt it's healthier to laugh at myself than to feel excessive pain at my distance from God, though that pain works wonders too.

It's only Catholics who've warded them off. Muslims conquered Byzantine lands. They are partly a product of Eastern thinking itself, coming back around to them in mutated form. It is the Eastern churches who kept falling for Caesaro-Papism and put their faith in imperial power and strongarming bishops to implement their heresies in false councils. The apostles ordained bishops to lead his church. Not worldly powers, not emperors, certainly not female queens like England either. lol
And Islam shares much in common with Arianism, another Eastern heresy. That which denies Christ is God, and calls him merely a righteous man. Just like Muhammad did.
The great dream of Muslims is to pillage and rape Rome, and they've been thwarted every time. They were only allowed to get to Byzantium for a reason.
Protestants are little better than what Byzantines did. They cast off the seat of Peter and put their faith in kings and secular "democracies" to defend the Church. And thus got inflicted with a golemizing process of their own, as stated above. All manner of Zionist and liberal and degenerate teachings have ransacked their churches at every level. And they have no authority or bishops to thwart and heal the well meaning Protestants among them.
What part of the "Gates of hell shall not prevail" do you not understand?
>I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”-Matthew 16:17

He wants to defend children. There is nothing Satanic in this. And there is no room for the love for God in a love for ghouls and predators. We either serve one or the other. Principles of nonviolence are for one's fellow man, in day to day strife and friction between individuals, and in civility and spreading the gospel. Not accommodating demons and letting them rape kids and dismantle everything decent in the world. You are too harsh on this anon and forget what you're up against, my friend. You should be angry at them. It is what Christ himself condemned with the strongest language.
>It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.-Luke 17:2
God has a purpose for such men who will place that millstone on these things. Just as he still has a purpose for civil order and lawmakers in general.
>For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.-Romans 13:4
You don't need to overdose on the Templar pill. We are not berserkers either. But just enough will do miracles and steer the ship back on course.

Any demon stories anyone here has to share? I’ll start with one.
>be me
>living with old occult “friend”
>over the course of a month have several dreams of demonic possession
>turns out after the fact that person was carving demon runes into their walls/body and covering them in blood after I stop living with them.
>strange dreams after I leave, get scratched a couple times
>fast and pray and one day it stops
That’s the entire story not a very climatic ending and it is very schizo but ey, is what it be. Still think to this day that person put the thing on me because of some perceived slight then it must’ve gone back and demanded payment, hope that person repented but what can you do?

Jesus spoke Aramaic to Peter and called him Kefa. And Kefa just means a rock. There isn't "small pebble" variation like some dialects of ancient Greek to make that kind of argument, and there wasn't in koine Greek even at this time, when Petra and Petros were synonyms.
If you're trying to say there's some esoteric meaning to the point that, say, these are all amorphous symbols and it's completely removed from any practical or ecclesiastical teaching, I'm not interested.

I don't know if she's written about it, but I've heard her talk about it. It made me a feel whole more confident, since I rely on what he said myself. Heh.
If anyone isn't familiar, this Orthodox priest also touches on it.
https://www.goarch.org/-/the-word-almah-in-isaiah-7-14
>We propose a different etymology, namely, to derive the noun ‘almah from the root ‘-l-m I "to be concealed, hidden," well attested in Hebrew. If this etymology proves to be correct, ‘alem (masculine) and ‘almah (feminine) would designate an engaged couple, which would accordingly be rendered as "the concealed ones."
Not a "Young Girl", but a Hidden Girl. A girl under her parents' watch, not yet presented to the public and implies virginity. You used to see it far more often even in Western culture. Like all of those Victorian novels of young girls who haven't fully been "presented" to society and engage in courting rituals. And this is why the translators of the LXX went with virgin.

After praying a full rosary every day for a little over a hundred days, I am finally beginning to falter, completing 1 full rosary in 2 days and before that completing 1 full rosary in 40 hours. Both times were accompanied by sleep issues mind you, but I am still am not proud that I lapsed. When I first started this devotion, so many things were going right. I managed to quit pornography for a month and a half, I was strong and felt with god's presence, and now I am back to being a mess. I thought that the longer I prayed the easier things would get, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Trying to push through this, but its not easy. Really wish I had the stamina to bomb these out first thing after waking up in the morning, but I am a serial procrastinator. Pray for me.

I've never prayed a full rosary myself, friend. I'm the one who should feel worse. You challenge me. Don't beat yourself up too much. And don't give into despair.

>Whenever you feel guilty, even if it is because you have consciously committed a sin, a serious sin, something you have kept doing many, many times, never let the devil deceive you by allowing him to discourage you. Whenever you feel guilty, offer all your guilt to the Immaculate, without analyzing it or examining it, as something that belongs to her…
>My beloved, may every fall, even if it is serious and habitual sin, always become for us a small step toward a higher degree of perfection.
>In fact, the only reason why the Immaculate permits us to fall is to cure us from our self-conceit, from our pride, to make us humble and thus make us docile to the divine graces.
>The devil, instead, tries to inject in us discouragement and internal depression in those circumstances, which is, in fact, nothing else than our pride surfacing again.
>If we knew the depth of our poverty, we would not be at all surprised by our falls, but rather astonished, and we would thank God, after sinning, for not allowing us to fall even deeper and still more frequently.
-St. Maximillian Kolbe

Peter is the temple build on a rock instead of the moving sand were synagogue at that time were build on.
Do you understand now?
>>
>>37882913
cont.
Jesus was teaching through parabola, this is why he could rebuild the temple in 3 days. 3 days in biblical standing point of view means in 3 steps. The Torah was about the mind and soul, the body of Christ that was in Peter is a also the Mind and Soul, this is the temple built on a solid foundation (rock) in 3 steps:
> Sacrifice of your own desire.
> Love. (compassion)
> Forgiveness.
If you can't handle the truth I feel sorry for you. This is the temple / the kingdom.
>>
>>37882913
There's more to it than that. Kefa means rock and Jesus is playing on the word, as both a foundation of faith and Kefa himself, the person.
He was prominent through the gospels and the early Church. This is for a reason. It wasn't just accidentally written that way. Jesus also singled him out at the end of the Gospel of John, and specifically told him "Feed my sheep", to be the shepherd of Christ's Church that he was meant to be.
The early Church knew this:
>Be it known to you, my lord, that Simon, who, for the sake of the true faith, and the most sure foundation of his doctrine, was set apart to be the foundation of the Church, and for this end was by Jesus himself, with his truthful mouth, named Peter, the first fruits of our Lord, the first of the apostles; to whom first the Father revealed the Son; whom the Christ, with good reason, blessed”-Letter of St Clement to James
>The Lord says to Peter: ‘I say to you,’ he says, ‘that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church.’ . . . On him he builds the Church, and to him he gives the command to feed the sheep [John 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single chair [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed, the others were that also which Peter was [i.e., apostles], but a primacy is given to Peter, whereby it is made clear that there is but one Church and one chair.-Cyprian of Carthage
And thus the early Church followed. They wouldn't even hold ecumenical councils without the bishop of Rome.
>>
>>37882957
For the record, I'm not some Feeneyite who thinks there's no salvation outside the Catholic Church. As Jesus told the disciples himself:
>Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”
>"Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us."-Mark 9:38-40
Nor do I expect anyone to just jump up and change. I myself had to grow to my viewpoint.

/his/ is the reason I can sit say i got a temporary ban from 4chan because of racism. I enjoy being able to say that when nomies have a conversation about 4chan. I am not more racist than other people and i am certainly not an a*shole about it. But you are right, it is often a very uninteresting place.

If it is, God can still use it for good. Just as he did the original tree of knowledge. But look how much trouble was caused by it and how long man had to suffer until the Word became Incarnate to redeem us. It's altogether unnecessary.

I suppose I come off as racist sometimes when I speak against Israel. Yet at the same time, Christ and the early Church were Israelites, and some of my favorite saints were conversos Spaniards (St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross). I wish I could do better of clarifying the difference between culture and race, but the behavior of Talmudists gets me heated up.
Same thing when I say Muslims are inbred and stupid beasts. But that doesn't mean all Arabs succumbed to that. There's a reason why Christian Arabs and Lebanese who've been chased out of the Middle East can adapt easily to the West, succeed in education and business, and create vibrant communities. Druze and Alawite seem similar, since they're only vaguely Muslim.

>The Mahometan paradise, however, is only fit for beasts; for filthy sensual pleasure is all the believer has to expect there.-St. Alfonsus Liguori
I try to remind myself I'm in good company. But I myself grew up in a pozzed American environment of liberalism that nags in my mind that I should think of everyone as equal. And then I feel bad for a second, until I go back to the saints.
Exhibit A on the most beastly teaching of Islam:
Muhammad believed the Virgin Mary would be his prized "houri" in heaven. That the Mother of God herself would be his reward to have orgies with along with the rest of his harem. These are the kind of thoughts that even some Satanists hestitate muttering before they spew out their degeneracy. But to the Muslim mind, they consider it holy, and try to rope in God and Christ himself as an accomplice. Such a level of evil doesn't come from mere evil: It comes from an absolute inbred retard who happens to also be evil. And there is no peace or equality with beasts like this.

there's a book in the new testament that warns about the hate towards jews that was starting to develop in the early church, It was one of those after the acts of apostles book.
Basically they remember us that even tho jews rejected jesus they are still the ones that brought salvation to all nations

I try to keep it in mind. I think you might mean the Epistle to Romans. There is ultimately only one People of God. And we Gentiles are a grafted branch to that tree, made natural by the grace of God, while some of the old branches were pruned away. But we have to ward ourselves from getting arrogant about it. We were all born in sin and are only saved by the goodness of God. Gentiles can easily fall into apostasy as the state of the world shows now. Their fate and behavior is the same as the Jews who rejected Christ.
>But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.-Romans 11:17-18

I have been banned over a dozen times for racism and most of that is from /his/ too. Sometimes they'll even delete my threads about genetics even if I don't use any slurs at all.

Today in a moment of desperation I prayed to God and he answered by prayers. This changed everything for me, I haven't been a Christian since I was a child. What sect is the true faith?
>>
>>37888072
I'm glad that happened for you, but faith founded on miracles is weak, your relationship with God should be one of unconditional service, trust, and adoration, not an "I honor you, you bless me." reciprocal relationship. You also shouldn't ask to be spoonfed with spiritual wisdom, since putting all your trust in God will result in Him showing you everything you need to know when you have earned it, but I will say that recent converts who are really serious about Christianity don't seem to be Protestants these days, which increasingly resembles a spiritually exhausted and subversive force. Roman-Catholicism might appear too Italian, too Liberal, too corrupt for you, but I ask you to be patient and inquire into it, and overlook its superficial flaws to find the divine content within. Just keep in mind that a good half of nominal Christians today are damned and the true Church has been reduced to a remnant, so you're going to struggle no matter which church you go to.
>>
>>37888204
I very much appreciate the response and I know what you mean about faith being founded on miracles. Maybe it was more that I realized I've always believed deep down because that was the first thing I went to in such a desperate state. I will give Roman-Catholicism a close look.

Are you a cultural Protestant, Catholic or Orthodox?
>>

Just one thing, Catholicism isn't just Roman. There are other 23 churches together in communion with Rome and they're all Catholic.

One other thing you can try in a few months is an RCIA class at most local parishes. I think they start in August or September. There's no pressure to be a Catholic. You just get to a walkthrough through the basic points and have a few months before you decided to become a Catechumen later.

I'm a different anon btw. Just my two cents.

Can I still do that if I was baptized as a child?
>>
>>37888670
Of course. There is only One Baptism, but Catholics don't recognize stuff like Mormon baptisms as balid.
If you have a baptismal proof and can verify the denomination baptism was done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, you'll be able to skip some part of that process. If not, you'll get a conditional baptism just in case. But the RCIA classes are still useful, in any case.
>>
>>37888709
I don't know what church it was at or even what year. I don't mind the going through the whole process. I'm excited for those classes, they seem interesting.
>>
>>37888746
You could just mention it and more than likely, they'll go out of their way to research the denomination for you, if those people might have old records. Or if you don't mind like you said, the conditional Baptism covers it all. God knows if you already were fine, but the Catholic practice of the conditional baptism is simply to leave no room for confusion.

I have a soft spot for the RSV, since it was the old bible lying around my parent's house that I finally opened up. It's also ecumenical and the first translation that was friendly to Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants alike. The RSV2CE (2nd Catholic Edition) pretty much fixed all its leftover issues, but it's too bad it's not widely used in official liturgical texts.
The Latin cross is the most basic cross, therefore it came first ;)

The anon below you is probably correct. These kind of romantic conversion stories really don't give you enough to work with. When I was 11 years old and my faith was beginning to falter, I decided to get baptized at my non-denom church hoping I would have some sort of change of heart, but it only made me feel worse and I lost my faith shortly afterward. Resolution is not a quick fix: faith takes discipline and effort. I spent years studying Christianity and praying before becoming confirmed in the catholic church by an sspx bishop.

Not the anon you're replying to, but as someone leaving Buddhism and now studying Christianity, it feels like it will take a long time before (/if) I would be able to honestly and confidently be "confirmed" if that's the right terminology here. Navigating this whole Protestant vs Catholic vs Orthodox thing is, among other aspects I'm seeking elaboration on, an absolute nightmare.
