I just beat this game (mostly) blind and it only took me a few hours. While it has some tough spots, you can just fly over most of them. The final boss took a couple of tries and even still, it only took maybe 30 minutes of attempts. Overall it was good but definitely not that hard.
Did you use save states?
>>10908029Some paths are harder than others. I finished the game in a few hours as well in the early 90s when I got it for Christmas but there are other stage paths which are much harder. Especially if you don't take Alucard to just bat form past them.
I'd call it a tough old bastard of a game, tougher than CV1, but both games are more than doable with persistence and practice.
People suck at games. This one isn't especially easy but yeah it's not super hard either. The important thing is that it's good.
I say it's hard because I did the Alucard route Trevor-only because I had no idea about turning into a bat.
>>10908029because it was hard when you were 5...
>>10908029I will only play the japanese version with the superior music
>>10908029>He used AlucardYou didn't beat the game
>>10908029Not hard, just challenging, like ninja gaiden series
>>10908193alucard is dogshiteven for mobility grant can do everything he can and also climb over the screen without using hearts
>>10908224actually okay alucard can do the last room before dracula i guess but grant's jumps make the bats irrelevant and that's not a concern in the jpn version anyway
>>10908224>>10908225Grant is so fucking cool. I wish more games had extra playable characters that took established mechanics and threw them out the window. Trevor+Grant best combo all day every day.
>>10908224>>10908234>He used GrantYou also didn't beat the game
>>10908259What, did you take Sypha with her borderline nuke spells? Or are you claiming that you're a big boy and did Trevor only?
>>10908262>Sypha bitch don't make laugh ffs...if you don't make a solo run with trevor over each route, you didn't really beat the game.
being good at videogames doesn't mean you're not a faggot
>>10908029Feel like US Castlevania 3 has been astroturfed lately for it's supposed legendary difficulty. It wasn't quite like this a few years ago
>>10908219don't post bullshit like that without an explanation
>>10908342Both are infinite continues and have enemy placement purposefully for you fall down gapsHow are they not similar, even in gameplay?
>>10908029>only played the easy pathdidn't beat the game.
>>10908392>it's not hard, it's """challenging""" hehI meant this
>>10908429What?Do you not understand what challenging means?
>>10908219huh, I played ninja gaiden the other day (don't remember if it was a port/remake) and had the same impression. I expected it to be CV1.
>>10908443I mean that in the context of a videogame a distinction between hard and challenging is pointless shitposting without elaboration.
>>10908269>he uses trevorngmi
>>10908592Here, let me give you a simple comparisonA 1000 piece edgeless puzzle is hardA 1000 piece puzzle is a challenge
>>10908032
>>10908032Well duh, who doesn't?
>>10909078“This game isn’t hard” and “this game isn’t hard when I use save states” are two different statements
It's doable until the world where you fight clone Belmont. I can't handle how pixel perfect you have to be on the stairs with the Skelly towers shooting at you
>>10909078People that don't want to look like idiots claiming a challenging game is easy, using save states
heh... this 2nd graders said the test was hard... I got a 80% without even trying
>>10908029I’ve never finished this game but now I’m realizing, are you not meant to play as Trevor the whole time?
>>10908029In short, because it is and you either didn't beat the game because you used save states, or you're lying or trolling for a reaction.
>>10908029>use the Linear version romhack>type AKAMA in the name screen>beat the entire game >all 17 stages in one go Good luck, /vr/!
