Speaking of Hodge, does anyone feel like there was a "missing" episode between the Flute Cup and Absol episodes? He and Goh didn't exactly hit it off as friends, and yet they appear to be precisely that later on. An episode in between, where Goh earned Hodge's respect and the two started to get along better would've made him asking for Ash and Goh's help a little less jarring.

Basically expand on the concept of Project Mew, with Goh, Gary, and Horace traveling across the regions, researching and encountering legendary Pokemon and the myths/lore surrounding them, in order to better understand their role in the ecosystem, on top of doing normal Pokemon research, of course. Along the way, they encounter and thwart evil teams, poachers, and other bad guys. And Ash is tagging along because, let's be real, you just know he'd be super excited at the prospect. And for those that would be turned off by what would basically be a sausage fest, there could easily be a rotating cast of female characters ranging from past companions to rangers to researchers and whatnot that collaborate with and sometimes just bump into the boys while they're hopping across regions.

I miss him so bad bros. I genuinely believe he was so much better than Ash, Liko, and Roy. They weren't afraid to give him storylines that challenged his views, to make him the butt of the joke, to have him fail. He had more negative personality traits than the others and it was great to watch him grow into a better person, but it didn't feel like he was done yet at all. I wanted another series with him.By comparison, Liko and Roy seem to have been built perfect. They lack negative personality traits, they lack any lessons to learn, and they don't have any interpersonal conflict with anyone. Because of that, and the fact that they aren't as comedic as Goh, it's hard to feel excited about the new episodes.
