If there's one thing that's relatively unique to YS, it's being able to extend the whole multiple lives/reincarnation thing and mix it with an established relationship and get some absolutely delicious pinning as a result of the girls not knowing they're sharing a world again and missing each other greatly. Your general expectation appears to be correct in that while there is firm relationship stuff, there seems to be little to no physical romance or anything. The most I saw in the probably 50 chapters I skimmed was very literally just hugs and cuddling, and that was after a big reuniting. Also romance aside, the pokemon side of the plot seems to get real... well:I read through some parts where they seemed to be experimenting with applied uses of shit like psychic type brainwashing trainers to force match losses, the MC at one point wins a match where she deliberately tortures the opponents pokemon to try and mentally break the opposing trainer, and at one point some of the good guys apparently cripple a bad guy and let a Haunter torture him to death to allow the haunter to evolve. Also and I'm separating this because it's probably turbo spoilers MC apparently gains the ability to sense and manipulate emotions from a legendary, I don't know how much that comes into play after the fact, but there it is..Just, y'know, so you know what you're getting into.

And generally there isn't a lot of /u/ outside the main couple. But it isn't the kind of fic where the author goes "they're together now" and then they never do anything at all, you will get /u/ scenes frequently once there.
