Did any one else own a MoMo? I have two
>>
>>10943059
>I have two
I don't believe you.
>>
No. I heard they had lots of QC issues and didn't buy it even though the bee looked cool.
>>
>>10943059
I wanted the teal version of the one you posted (Tigga, I think her name was?) and the unreleased mantis, but never actually got any. I hear the newer model kits are pretty decent, though, but I'm waiting for the more interesting designs to come out rather than the generic ones.

What even is MoMo? I remember see a bunch of photos of these robot monstergirl figures but never once found one for sale or even much information about them.
>>
>>10943065
I have both of the slashers

>>10943133
Yeah the joints were either super stiff or incredibly loose, zero inbetween

>>10943160
Tigga is cool and yeah, i really wanted the centaur mantis too

Here we are, i pulled them from a 4 year storage and just gave them a clean. They fall apart into a million pieces at a drop of a hat. Still one of the coolest figs i own, and they're massive.

>>10943178
Just a random IP if sexy robot ladies to my understanding. They started out doing very basic models and then started releasing concept pictures like the one you posted. The two slashers and the bee are their last releases before they stopped producing. I would have gotten these in 2016/17 off amiami. They were also expensive

Actually i believe these airforce finish models may have been the last releases and i remember them being riddled with QC issues with the paint. The paint also did not match promo shots at all and was much darker in person

Anon, this is a blue board!

They started remaking them officially again, as model kits. I have any Orca.
>>
>>10943059

Yeah, I have four and an unbuilt Orca kit. I will also be buying the ToyNotch release.

>>10943133
Yes and no. The QC issues specifically were from the releases under a Chinese company, Original Effect. They were the ones responsible for the broken parts and for the paint issues mentioned in >>10943230 Mine have all been fine so far.

To reply to >>10943230, no, the Air Force MoMos were not the actual last release, that was the monster types Myga, Tigga, and Eclair.

>>10943178
MoMos are giant robots which have been provided to the nations of Earth by extraterresitrials to aid humanity in defeating a horrible race of monsters which had been menacing humanity for some time, which IIRC were referred to as the Invaders. The friendly ayys left humanity to their own devices afterwards. Each MoMo if I remember right again requires a pilot but also can be autonomous, and each has their own personality. The horrible monsters the MoMos were to defeat have been exterminated, but now the nations of mankind are of course becoming arrogant and trying to gather them together for their own purposes, trying to dominate each other, etc. This might not be accurate, but a full story for them is gathered somewheres.

Optune has been trying to put them out there for going on a decade now. I fucking love them as designs and have great respect for the man because he's trying his damnedest, so I'll keep supporting him.

>Why do you keep advertising that shitty company
I have never posted about them before, but okay. We all know that everyone who posts shit you personally don't like has to be the same person.
>>
>>10948835
You don't even buy toys, so why are you even voicing a thought?

And here I was, just about to ask if anywhere had the 1/144 white/gold Orca in stock, when I saw that Suruga-ya had her — with free EMS to boot.
>>
I bought one on impulse. Assembled the shoulder incorrectly and had to take it apart, but one of the pegs snapped. Still works because another piece locks the whole thing in place. The polycaps in the hip look like they're being ground down just from moving them. I like that it came with two face parts so I can mod the spare however I please.
>>
>>10948857
The one in the OP is Original Effect release, which are the shitty ones in your own words.
>>
I got two of them. One I got from Amazon years ago when I didn't know where to buy figs from and the other I got while on vacation at a toy store in another state, they had a ton more but I could sadly only afford one. Heavily debating if I'll get the new one coming out from Toynotch. I wanna support the artist that made them since I love his designs, and feel a little guilty I never picked up the kits.
Are any of you picking up the Toynotch ones?
>>
These look cool as fuck
>>
How do I get a Moso?
>>
>>10945910
They gonna release the tiger one as a model kit?
>>

The Toy Notch one just went up for pre-order. 19k yen on HLJ.
>>
>>10949913
Oh yes, but I was also trying to say it's a bit complicated, some of the OE releases came out fine and others came out worse. I won't babble about it, my bad.

>>10961532
Oh fuck, thanks for the heads up anon.
>>
Bit of a pity, seems the ToyNotch MoMo has the least articulated ankles of all the releases so far. Otherwise, looks damn good.
