Would it work as a setting for a fantasy tabletop rpg?
>planet
No, because there's only three people with any real purpose in the entire setting. Everyone else just exists to repeat the same tragedies over and over again. because you're either a faerie and have no real agency, or you're a human where even the strongest among you is ultimately powerless in comparison to the faeries. It's a nightmare dystopia with the veneer of paradise, and only Morgan, Castoria, and Vortigern have anything resembling any agency, with the latter only having it because he's willing to put everything into butthurt ragequitting and flipping the table because he knows the game is rigged. So, either you replay the Castoria route, and you play it perfectly, or Morgan just shapes the world with no one to oppose her. That's not exactly a whole lot of room for any player agency, to the point where even in the game the only options are "Follow the path" and "Game Over,"
>>92591664Maybe if you adjusted things to work as jrpgs
>>92591664Yeah no gonna have to second the other guy lb6’s entire world in and out of universe only exists for the sake of the fae of avalon’s aka castoria’s story just as oberon says anyone else is just a spectator or a npc with the lostbelt fae even being more or less railroaded into behaving in a certain way when it comes to herand running around with a single main character that the entire story depends on is not good for a trpgYou are probably better of just running a game in the actual typemoon early darkage, there is a flashback in silver fragment where arthur and his army fight lucius tiberius and his army and it’s pretty high fantasy; thousands of mages, giants, romans riding raptors and beamsword battles
Gacha fags in my /tg/? its more likely than you think.
>>92591958>>92593384You are probably correct. It sounds like all of the problems I run into with a Touhou campaign but worse. >You are probably better of just running a game in the actual typemoon early darkage, there is a flashback in silver fragment where arthur and his army fight lucius tiberius and his army and it’s pretty high fantasy; thousands of mages, giants, romans riding raptors and beamsword battlesI've kind of wanted to do a game set during the age of gods and that might work. Especially since it's kind of grimdark as well.
Maybe you could do something with the PCs being from outside of Faerie Britain like Spriggan but you're probably better of just stealing the concepts you like from it and putting them in your own setting.
>>92593742>I've kind of wanted to do a game set during the age of gods and that might work. Especially since it's kind of grimdark as well.i could see that working, some of the critters in fate/go would after all be terrifing if you aren't a supersonic murder machine with a legendary weaponlike wyvern that raise the dead they eat, self replicating goo proto homonculi, small mountain sized spriggans and all the shit from the babylonia singularity that people had to fight with cooper stickswhich system would you use?
>>92591744Kek
Is there a good tabletop system for FGO shit in general?
>>92591664No, because for all the rules Fate makes up for its setting, it never actually follows any of them.
>>92596115Good question, I would also like to know the answer.
