Still the richest Eredivisie club.
Still the most fans.
Marijn Beuker is a football mastermind.
Alex Kroes is back.
The era of fraudulent coaches will end.

I hope you enjoyed these two years. It's Ajax time.

>>
>>140381602
They're starting to show their hidden strengths. "Mikaufraudze" is scoring one goal after another at FC Metz. People even like Anton Gaaei now. They'll improve a lot if they get a right winger (they don't have a single one right now), a non-fraudulent left back and a non-fraudulent coach.

Eredivisie isn't finished yet, but they're struggling to stay in 5th place.

Ajax still have money and a competent staff getting the most out of their youth system. Barcelona are broke and incompetent in literally every department, an actual circus. Atleast Man Utd get Premier League money, Barcelona has money issues in a dying league.

Barcelona's last UCL was in 2015, nine years ago; Ajax' was in 95, 29 years ago.
Man U can, at least, claim to have the most leagues in England despite more than a decade of clownery in a league with the richest clubs in the world.
Ajax is only 8 leagues away from PSV while being on a completely different budget level.

Indeed, but they still won it, much like how City did it. The point being that bbilan and aj*x have budgets well beyond their league competitors and still fail in the international scene while not being particularly special at the national level.

Now compare it to any la liga or premier league club. Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV get no TV money whatsoever. Barcelona has way more income than all three combined and they still had to borrow their succes.

That's not an acceptable measure for a team which blows PSV's budget out of the water.
When Cancerlona manages to reduce their lead over Athletic Club to only 8 leagues we'll be able to put barça on the level of aj+x.
>>
>>140406492
>That's not an acceptable measure for a team which blows PSV's budget out of the water.
It doesn't though. For long periods they were rather close. I think in the 80s, 90s and 00s PSV might have had more income.
>>
>>140406659
Aj*x' budget has been much higher than PSV's for a very long time, what are you talking about? All while also having access to some of the best young talent in the world to play and sell; they went from a three-peat to being happy with geting to the semifinals of the UCL.

Weak deflection, mate. You are the one who speaks dutch and can find this information very easily, I can only read Spanish and English; however, just last year, Ajax was the 20th most valuable team in the world: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1028798/europe-leading-professional-football-clubs-by-enterprise-value/
No other Dutch team even comes close. No team simply walks up to being the 20th most valuable in the world from nothing. Unlike City, Ajax has not been bought by multi-trillioners.
>>
>>140407859
>current value of ajax after more than a decade of mostly good management
>this somehow has anything to do with the sponsorhip money PSV got in the 80s
In the 80s they even bought ajax players with philips money. Why are you bringing up historic league titles when you don't even know anything about their history?
>>
>>140408043
PSV aren't a three-peat-winning team, PSV aren't the most succesful team in the Netherlands and they sure as hell do not have the single most overrated, overhyped and overspent for young academy in the world.
My post was about much Ajax have fallen, not about whether PSV is a weak team as well (both teams a bottom-feeders), and, simply put, there is not other team in football history that has gone through such a meteoric fall as Ajax.
PSV, in the 80s, was not an international power house ,no matter how much you would like to imply. Ajax, during the 90s, was an international powerhouse and has, since, become a laughingstock.
I'll repeat myself: once Negreiralona manage to drop their league titles against Athletic Club to 8, I'll consider them a bigger failure.
To add: Barcelona has not yet been battered 0 - 4 a 6 - 0 in back-to-back Clasicos.
>>
>>140408318
>PSV, in the 80s, was not an international power house
Not even true. They won the european cup in 1988. Also how hard are you moving the goalpost. You kept going on about how ajax has "only" 8 more league titles than PSV. What are you even trying to say with that?
>there is not other team in football history that has gone through such a meteoric fall as Ajax.
Feyenoord when they lost 10-0 to psv and ended 10th place. They recovered and so will ajax.

Sosa is a good LB. Ajax ruined him, so far. A good coach will show his strengths.
>>
>>140420481
Good to hear. He seemed like one of the bigger frauds to me. What do you like about him?
>>
>>140421730
At Stuttgart, he showed that he could develop to be a great modern LB. He is also experienced for his country's team. His crossing and passing has always been very good, especially since his natural position at the youth level was midfield. The fact that him and so many players have had such a disasterous season is an anomaly. Let me ask you, what are your thoughts about Tahirovic? He's another with loads of potential that can be realised with the right coach. Ajax just need to sort out the backroom staff situation and of course they will challenge again.
>>
>>140421905
What about his defending?
>what are your thoughts about Tahirovic?
More positive than Sosa. It's hard to tell because he lost his starting spot to Henderson just when he was starting to play well. Things keep changing so I understand why that's hard for him. On average he's been rather mediocre. At his age he still has lots of time to grow.
>>
>>140422903
>What about his defending?
Always been shit. But Ajax can compensate for that.

Tahirovic has the potential to have a similar impact to Frenkie imo. Very exciting talent.

AZ has a far superior youth system nowadays and snipes all the talent in the Amsterdam area.
>>
>>140381413

>>
>>140436934
I agree somewhat, but far superior is an overstatement. Jong Ajax is doing worse, Ajax u18 is doing better. Marijn Beuker (mentioned in the OP) was one of the main people responsible for AZ's youth and he moved to ajax. Ajax is rebuilding its training facilities on top of that.

Those things are necessary exactly because their academy is now shit.
>>
>>140440186
It's really not that bad. Jong Ajax is doing worse than AZ but better than PSV. U18 is on top of their league and did this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbTegIVm3zQ

Younger teams are crap, though that might be due to physical development. Anyhow they're not important until 5 years from now and Ajax has plenty of time to fix those.

Next season is a PSV or Feyenoord season, you'll be lucky to finish 3rd.
>>
>>140445666
It's not solely his fault, as we both know. Again, I'd just wait a season before writing him off.
>>
>>140446039
I'm willing to give him another chance, his poor defensive capabilities are still hard to ignore. The central defenders and defensive midfielders at ajax are solid enough, the backs are the biggest problem. I guess we'll see. I hope a good coach can perform miracles.
>>
>>140445667
Probably PSV. Maybe Feyenoord will manage to not win the title for 16 consecutive seasons again.
