HELLO CICLISIMO HELP AN ANON OUT! after a year riding a shitty MTB I would like to get into road cycling and I have no idea what to buy! after a quick research and with a budget of 1.8keuro I narrowed my options between a used trek emonda sl 5 disc (2022 supercool blue color) and a brand new canyon endurace 7 AL what is your recommendation?

Hello bert. Welcome to road biking. You are going to become addicted and will prefer road biking over mtb. I saw a BIG group ride the other day which is something I never see. About 20 people. Even some ciclistas that ask people to leave.
So I uploaded me ride to Strava for the first time in years so I could stalk them via Flyby.
Looked them up and it's a club.
Opened the club on Strava and it seems they are all deranged. 400 km rides, 300 km rides, week long bikepacking. Even some r*nning.
And the club organiser is some hipster thing, with "concept shops" which is never a good sign.

If you place a thing into the center of your life
That lacks the power to nourish
It will eventually poison everything that you are
And destroy you
A simple a thing as a Velogame
Or your perspective on yourself of the world
No one can be the source of your contempt,
It lies within, in the center.

Nice!

Make sure to bring on your rides:
- a spare inner tube
- multiple CO pumps
- a bottle of spare sealant to fill your tire back up in case it comes loose
- pliers to remove the valve in case you need to stick in an inner tube
- a spare outer tire in case the hole is too big to seal
- a phone in order to call someone to pick you up when you get a flat tire
- a spare phone, preferrably a satellite phone, in case you're stranded with a flat and your regular phone doesn't have connection
- a rag and a bottle of degreaser or brake cleaner in order to clean your tire in case you get a puncture and all the milk comes spraying out (biodegradeable)
- a spare roll of tubeless tape in case the air seal becomes broken
- money in case you need to pay a bike mechanic to fix your puncture
- a spare tubeless valve in case the tubeless valve breaks

is the problem of these romandie UWT type of GC races that there are too many riders within the team allowed to go for themselves. Like in no world was that break supposed to win that final climb wasn’t even that hard GC also seems funny to me there’s only one mountain stage left? All in on that time trial?

They just don't value stage wins anymore.
You have guys with no hope of podium in the main GC group that would rather stay there and get 9th in GC than risk it for a win.
Probably has to do with UCI points partially.

>Roger De Vlaeminck: "Eddy Merckx was on another level, huh? There's absolutely no comparison between Pogacar and Merckx. Pogacar is a fantastic rider, and the Strade Bianche is a tough race, but not a legendary one, huh. He broke away ninety kilometers from the finish, and nobody could follow. I guarantee you: if I had been on his wheel, he would never have dropped me in my prime," de Vlaeminck said in words to Wielerrevue. "Never in his life! Just like Francesco Moser and Beppe Saronni couldn't either."
>"Pogacar is a top rider and by far the best in the world, with Mathieu van der Poel a close second. Unfortunately, Mathieu can't keep up in the mountains. That would have been an exciting duel. But Pogacar isn't even half the rider Merckx was. If Merckx were to race in the same Giro as Pogacar, Pogacar would be five minutes behind in the general classification."

I don't know where PCS get those provisional startlists but it's probably just all the rumours that go around untill teams start releasing something concrete.
>>
just had a look at the stages for the upcoming vuelta femmes. not that exciting, although the race does end with a mountaintop finish so that could be an exciting GC climax

Why be a cycling journo if you don't enjoy watching cycling races? Ewan should try watching more random small races on tiz.

I guess there are 2 ways you can deal with Jumbo dope.
You either become an emotionless robot like Rog , Wout and fishman or you spaz out and murder you wife in a fit of homicidal rage .

it wasn't murder, the uci ruled it was a racing incident

I thought it was just a prank

He was retired at that point, so it must be caused by the withdrawals. I expect Wout will murder his son not long after he retires.
>>
>>140365631
And I know what the murder weapon will be
