I saw the girls on female dating strategy admit that the main reason why they wait for men to approach is so that they can create a dynamic where the man feels like he need to put in effort to get her. Its basically a training and vetting process to establish who works for who's attention. They said that relationships that they initiated always resulted in the men not trying as hard because there was never an established need for them to impress or go out of their way.
