>>23314148The dialogue is actually impeccable. Most impressed I've been with a gorl book.
>>23314148How about you read it and form your own goddamn opinion instead of having everyone tell you how to think?
>>23314148This cover is god-tier
>>23314148Heathcliff is 19th century Edward Cullen (or Rhett Butler).
Bronte is a good writer and I think the story is valuable in that the characterization of petty and mentally ill people is more true than some readers may ever know, and the prose is alluring. But the story is so miserable that I found it difficult to enjoy. It is relentless in how awful their lives become. I don't fault Bronte for it, just not my cup of tea I guess.
>>23314148Imagine an oil painting in romantic style of a burning trash can. That's how it is. Well written, but a terrible story of terrible characters. If that's your cup of tea, then enjoy
>>23314148It's good. it's in the top 100 of all time. Source: me, I like it
>>23314388That’s kind of how I sold it to someone who asked me about it: terrible people being terrible to each other, no one gets what they want, everyone is miserable, everyone dies at the end. It’s a prefect love story. It used to be one of my favorite books, but now I just really like and appreciate it.

Is the term "wuthering heights" a metaphor for the female orgasm? I haven't read or know anything about the book but the title always sounded that way.
Surprisingly good, i mean, surprisingly as in: i didn't had any expectations. Wonder if Jane Eyre has the same vibes as this one.
