He doesn't hate women, and he's not racist, if that's what you're thinking. And even the sorts of people Trollope does hate, he can have a sort of mercy towards at times.

He wrote too many books imo. Of those only 'Can You Forgive Her?' is on Bloom's canon list, which I've read and is very good, but unless I somehow live to the age of Methuselah I doubt I will ever have time to read the others.
