Because they already announced this like two months ago and everyone who cared changed their region then. The only reason why it'd matter is if they lock the region-selection, but if that's the case you can just make a new account with a VPN.

A lot of it is happening very quickly (dlsite changing tags and stopping MC/VISA, fanbox stopping paypal, etc) so I'm guessing it's a result of these sites becoming more popular in the west, thus garnering attention from western power players like credit card companies. Pixiv taking a step towards just outright blocking americans might be the only real solution going forward.

OF had the same thing tried on them, although in their case it was banks and not CC processors. The company also still tries to market itself as if it's used for anything but porn.
