Why are Independent Fundamentalist Baptists so downright hostile to all other forms of Christianity? Like if you see any of them online they'll use the most heinous language and insist that if you don't believe in their exact interpretation of sola scriptura and once saved always saved you're going to burn in hell. They think they can do anything they want because of their theology. I'm genuinely curious how all of this even begun.. was it started by Steven Anderson or does it go back even further than that?

Yeah they're pretty nutty. Other Protestants who don't have the exact same view about the rapture are heretics who are going to hell, non-Protestants are pagan demon-worshippers who've never heard of Jesus, etc. etc.

They just have the same opinion of other Christians as other Christians have of atheists, agnostics and people of other faiths lol.
