>AC power was already a broad movement before he made his motor
>some other guy beat him to the induction motor by two years
>some other guy beat him to radio control by a year
>made a bunch of lighting machines nobody has ever used
>had a bunch of fantastic ideas about physics that turned out to be false but were still really cool ideas you have to admit
Why is this guy so famous again?

He is handsome, aristocratic in appearance.
>>
>>16544988

therefore, he found a practical use for them
also edison fucking hated him which led to people championing him. tesla had terrific charisma too.

Because in the war of the currents Westinghouse shilled him in the press as a savant victim in order to try and demonise Edison. Later it was not just Westinghouse, but every banker that had invested in him and therefore a lot of money rode on this shill campaign which would end up spanning two decades.

The truth is that he was an annoying overpaid and under-performing engineer who wasn't nearly as talented as he or anyone else thought he was. He had very little tangible success in his career. Basically every other employee that worked for Edison was more successful.

But it continues to be a good story for midwit "victims" who feel they were denied wealth because they got bullied by Chad. Midwits love drama, and therefore the guy that bitched the most got the most attention appeals to the "smart, but lazy" losers who don't know anything about the professional research landscape, but love to day dream about being a STEM professional.

And yes, the fact that the unit for magnetic field strength was named after him is an absolute travesty and major injustice, it should have been named after Maxwell or Gauss like it was before, but basically at this point it was about wanting to throw a bone to Slavic nationalists and pretend like they also contributed to Western Science (they didn't, especially not Tesla who was a money hungry twat).

>>16545599
Yeah I'm sure you're much smarter than "midwit" Tesla, get a grip, loser. Oh, who am I kidding, you're probably projecting your self hate on him.
>>
>>16545615
Yes I am, richer too (I deserve it, he doesn't).

>>16544988
Lol. Holy shit you're a moron OP.

Resonant coreless transformers pioneered and perfected by tesla are used everywhere anon.

>>some other guy beat him to the induction motor by two years

He however was the first to design reliable multiphase ( Tesla himself coined the term polyphase ) motors.

What would have happened if I went back in time and raped Tesla in his mid 20s? I'm female btw and I would put viagra in his tea to force him to get hard.
