Is the family computer still a thing in TYOOL 2024?
>>100172487nowell maybe kind ofbut only for old people
it's like a married couple having one phone numberonly old people do that anymore
What's a computer?
>>100172571in this context we are referring to a consumer electronics device used for tasks such as email, creating digital documents, and web surfing.
I have a family computer for my house but everyone besides the oldest person in the house also has their own computer in their room
>>100172487I don't know, I built one for my parents and they use it every day, I think.
>>100172487I had the same mouse but in red
>>100174325Haha found a pic of it
Nah now it's PC for Dad, laptop for Mom and the teenager and a tablet for the 5 year old. Youngest gets the teens laptop when the teen upgrades

>>100172487I know in my cousin's house they have one just because his parents wanted to be able to monitor how much time he spends on it.
>>100172487from what I have heard no. everyone uses their phones.
Nope.Phones and laptops. If there's an autist zoomer he'll have a light up computer with RGB gayness. Houses don't even have landlines anymore.
>>100172487I'd say it stopped being a thing around 2009 or so. By then most families would be getting perhaps a tablet, maybe a laptop. My family had just one computer from 2002 until 2009 when my sister got a laptop for her birthday and the family computer was moved into my room. Soon my parents bought a separate laptop for themselves and so we did not need to share the computer with each other. From what I heard, all my friends have similar stories right around that time too.

>>100175936This happened to my family in 2015, we've all used laptops only since. Truth be told I am sick of them and want to build a PC now, but I got literally nowhere to have a setup:/
