In 2014 I wrote a book where I predicted that the Internet would damage an entire generation of kids and young people.
People laughed at my ideas and said I just wanted to restrict freedom of speech.
Now, parents all over the world are screeching "why didnt anyone warn us about Tiktok? why did Tiktok ruin our kids?"

I hate being the only one who sees ahead. Now I'm warning you about AI.

To be fair, you can't pin all of Gen Z's problems on the internet. Parent neglect and malpractice on the part of the educators' union played a big role in fucking zoomers up, too.
>>

No you didn't
>People laughed at my ideas and said I just wanted to restrict freedom of speech.
No they didn't
>Now, parents all over the world are screeching "why didnt anyone warn us about Tiktok? why did Tiktok ruin our kids?"
They said the same shit about tv.
>I hate being the only one who sees ahead. Now I'm warning you about AI.
Everyone knows about the possible dangers of AI, and has know since the concept was first written about in science fiction. None of this is new, you're not Nostradamus.

I FUCKING DID
>>

Post it then
>>
>>100141628
as if any prediction was needed in 2014.

Health is arguaby not the main issue. Zoomers putting all their personal info on social media and web services since their twelvies is however, since parents didn't stop them nor teach them the importance of not doing so (peer pressure wins out). They will be able to use those Stasi profiles of those people since childhood to either track them further or train models using that data.

Stuff like Discord or Google accoints in particular gurantee a whole generation that has unlimited blackmail before turning 21.

I have a 4 year old son who likes to watch TV, play video games, play mobile games on my phone, etc. My philosophy with this has always been that if he has something more interesting to do, like sports, traveling with me, playing with interesting toys, or playing with friends, he'll put down the iPad and do the more interesting thing instead. And so far I've been correct.

I think the parents saying that TikTok ruined their kids created a pathetically boring life for their kids with no alternatives except to look at the phone or stare at a fucking wall. But I might be wrong here. My son is only 4.
>>
>>100141628
>said I just wanted to restrict freedom of speech.
Because you fucking do, orwellian faggot.
People like you are very reason why we can't have nice things.
And neuroslop being "le bad thing" is obvious to anyone who isn't literal retard.

-my 4yo kid has unlimited phone access

(Yeah apparently I cant do greentext on my laptop wtf)

People in America tantrum about online pedators all the time but completely ignore their own role in this. I'm lowkey sick of people pinning this all on the evil pedos. They're not the only ones to blame for kids being predated on. Not really. They're usually just mentally unhinged horny incels who are presented an opportunity. By who? By society + parents. Parents are greenlighting it by giving their kids unlimited Internet access, just waiting for something bad to happen.
>>
>>100142217
I mean my kid doesn't have unlimited phone access. He doesn't have a phone yet, and I usually put restrictions like he has to read a book or something before he can use mine. But also my kid's not retarded. Is it really that difficult to teach my kid not to talk to strangers?
>>
>>100142191
>I defend convicted cyberpedos. They're not the only ones to blame for kids being predated on. Parents are greenlighting it by giving their kids unlimited Internet access, just waiting for something bad to happen.
>>100142217

You defend them because you are one? As if only one party can do wrong. This is what your thread is supposed to be about? lmao. Both you retarded pedo and the parents are disgusting pieces of shit.
>>
>>100141628
Dude, you already wrote a book. Why would you also need to open a thread. Have you not stroke your own EGO enough already?
Just go and kiss your own reflection in the mirror or something. Instead of wasting our time.
>>
>>100141628
>In 2014 I wrote a book where I predicted that the Internet would damage an entire generation of kids and young people.
And you were wrong.
It's social media what's damaging kids, not the Internet.
Also, in 2014 the Internet was basically already dead, and no meaningful change has occurred since then, so you "predicted" absolutely nothing.
>>
>>100142250
>You defend them because you are one?

Stupid emotional tantrum take which I anticipated.
My point exactly. By making pedos the scape goats, parents can dodge responsibility 100%
You point your finger at lonely incels so that parents could dodge all the blame
Also the "you cant defend gay rights without being gay yourself" logic is tarded
>>
>>100142627
>It's social media what's damaging kids, not the Internet.

Same thing. 99% of www traffic goes to Big Tech
Your kid is not reading wikipedia all day
>>
>>100142217
Pedos are a boogeyman. They’re extremely rare in real life and the only reason there’s so much mass hysteria around them is because it’s easy to grift and make money from pedo hysteria.
>>
>>100141915
it was removed from internet by censorship

I just sent Healthline.com an angry email about this ridiculous policy
>>
>>100142715
I kinda agree with this. People have all sorts of imaginary boogeymen living inside their heads.
When I was a child, I was warned about bad adults selling kids drugs near schools. To this day I've never seen these people and I dont think they ever existed in the first place
Imaginary unemployed welfare leeches, refugees, homos, pedos etc. all inhabit the mind of the normie

Haha wow their email doesnt even work what the FUCK kind of scam is that site

education especially. Everything up to middle school is just daycare so its fine, but high schoolers are fucking retarded. Maybe its always been that way.
>>
>>100142794
Wow, how convenient, and you don't have a copy of it to upload either
>>
>>100141628
They should have kept the name information super highway.
As for the internet ruining kids, it became "bad" when norms got easy access to it.
>>100141659
This. Content can be blocked, websites can be blocked. They allowed unrestricted access for their children.
>>
>>100141628
Don't worry, the big companies are working hard to turn internet into one giant cable TV sort of thing. This way the culture has gone a full circle straight back to 80s but worse in many ways.

Another proof that raising children is a fulltime job that women shouldn't be distracted from by some meme career.

>>100142250
He didn't defend pedos learn to read, he said that parents have a responsibility to protect their own children which is absolutely right.

Depends on if you're in the more accelerated programs in a good school or not. But I was doing algebra in middle school, not measuring the width of my desk with pencils as the unit of measure like what happens today.

>raising children is a fulltime job that women shouldn't be distracted from by some meme career
You are right, anon.
Women were told it was "liberation" and "feminism" but in reality They wanted women to go make tax bucks.

i remember doing that

lmao at blaming teachers for this. Some teachers sure but if you've ever actually met one over the age of 35 they universally cry out for more discipline, more consequences, and student/parent accountability. Even some of their administrators want this (though most really are there to collect paychecks because if they actually cared about or liked kids, they'd be teaching) but the decisions are being forced on them from the top down to pass the retarded kids who can't read and write, to let kids do drugs and do nothing in class, to let them bring and use phones (even encouraged with fascist corruption via new chromebooks and ipads, and before that smartboards and laptops; fascism is the merging of the public and private sectors so don't get your faggot panties in a bunch because I used a no-no word). Teacher's unions are indeed corrupt and headed by plants who don't actually fight for meaningful change that would be benefit everyone, and all they tend to care about are salaries and benefits, not the freedom for a teacher to create their own curriculum instead of pre-made common core module bullshit or corrupt highest-bidder Prentice Hall/College Board/Houghton-Mifflin landfill textbooks.

Teachers can't do shit by and large. They would be fired in most states, possibly sued and sent to jail, for forcibly taking a cell phone. Zoomers can do nothing and they aren't ALLOWED to give them less than 50%. As for parent neglect, ever see the movie The Cable Guy? Generations since the boomers have been babysat by TVs and later the internet. It's not a new or unique phenomenon and is also due to a combination of economic and cultural factors: parents are overworked and tired, and are encouraged to spend their leisure time away from family (game nights, drinking). And when they do spend time with kids, it's watching TV, gaming, social media scrolling. Of course Gen Z grew up as illiterate golems.

>>100142794
Post the manuscript or you are fake and gay

The general consensus here was always that internet in general, especially social media is unhealthy

>extrapolating his 4 years of experience on parenthood in general
No matter how great of a parent you are, when your kid reaches his teens, he's gonna think you're a cringy boomer who doesn't know shit about shit, and will have zero appreciation for the "interesting life" you created for him. At a certain stage of development, peers >>>> parents and there's nothing you can do about it except hope for the best.
>>
>>100143266
nah it wasn't the goberment wanting more tax
it was capitalists wanting more competition therefore lower salaries
also, all the work women used to do for free and out of love for their children and family now has to be bought as a service from businesses you can create
>healthy cooking
>education
>love and care (or the illusion thereof, like videogames not to mention porn)
