I used to follow this show hard. Right around the end of Season 5 I just dropped off. No real reason, I did feel the show was a bit weaker but not weak enough to drop it. Just stopped keeping up. Saw a few Season 6 episodes since, think the break helped since I found it funnier than I remember. Is the movie an actual thing that's happening?

My only problem with humour based shows is that after a time I remember the jokes a little too well, and I just can't get the same enjoyment. Some of my favourite shows I basically have to stop rewatching because they're comedy based and the jokes can't keep hitting the same on the 6th or 7th try when you know the setup and punchline. I have to kind of forget them to then rewatch them. What about you? Favourite thing about the show?. Thanks for the info. I think S2-S4 are my favourites, maybe S3 would edge it out overall. I'm a big fan of The Others, love the parody stuff and it's peak self absorbed Gumball. I'm a fan of showtunes so I don't think I hate any songs particularly, but yeah they definitely vary in quality. S1 had some really catchy background songs that to this day I want full versions of. Think Big and Warrior for example. Darwin's no more mr nice guy song and Without you song too. I also love the song that plays in the background of the greatest mother competition.
