Hey /ck/. What foods pair well with salt & vinegar crisps?Various flavours of salted snacks go well as a side with different types of foods, but I got a few packets of salt and vinegar at half price and they don't really pair that well with cold cuts/deli meats.
>>20479010humus~
Chip sandwich with Heinz mayo.
>>20479014Oh shit, that's a neat idea! I actually want to try this now. I haven't had hummus in a while; I'll go pick some up from the store tomorrow.
>>20479015Hmmm. I could use them as a sandwich topping, but I'd rather use them to complement other flavours.
Beer
>>20479010some olive spread would probably be the bees tits
>>20479010This Grillo's pico de gallo is pretty good with salt & vinegar chips. Give it a try before knocking it.
>>20479457You reckon? Pairing vinegar with more vinegar? How do you figure?
>>20479041>olive spreadThat comes across as soccer mom stuff or maybe someone some cat puked up.
>>20479041That's not a bad idea either, although this is my first time hearing of a spread made of olives. Definitely enjoy some kalamata olives as snacks, though.
>>20479469It tastes good and as another anon wrote goes great with beer.
>>20479477Huh. Seems like the kind of thing you'd want to pair with some lightly salted corn chips.
>>20479476I also enjoy kalamata olives, decent ones are difficult to find these days. They're just not carried by many grocery stores around where I live.
>>20479480Kalamata olives and vodka make a decent pairing.
>>20479010what I like to do is crush them up and put a little splash of beer, then eat it like a kind of cereal
>>20479476the best kind is kalamata olives blended with chickpæs and one (1) cheeky anchovy >>20479473not at all anon, grow up already sheesh
>>20479603If you try hard then you too can be Brucina Jenner
>>20479010They don't go with anything.
>>20479661Dip, chips go with dip.
>>20479928Corn chips go with dip. Salt and vinegar potato chips don't pair well with anything.
>>20479018It compliments the flavour of the white bread, butter and mayo.
Ceviche!>fish>prawn>lime juice>chili pepper>avocado>tomato>onion>cilantro>olive oilSalt and vinegar chips are the perfect complement. Some go for boring ol' tortilla chips, but S&V gives the whole thing a lil' razzle-dazzle.(Crisp, light beer to drink)
ALL crisps should be salt and vinegar or prawn cocktail (and recent 'sweet chili this that and the other flavours I hate)so I don't eat them cause I'm concerned about my weight literally every secondthought they only ate rice and shit in those countries and not crisps after a bunch of pints or like 10 bigmacs in murica
>>20479614>one (1) cheeky anchovy>picIf you like the salty...Turkish oil cured olives are amazing for something like this.Might be too much for Salt'n'Vinegar crisps tho-Maybe some finely diced, like 1/8th inch, tomato would help even it out. I'd try it, even if it was so salty it was like Bastard Ham.https://youtu.be/pUGNlgufgsk
