Should I get a crackpot or a dutch oven?
They're for different things. Dutch oven is for keeping in the most prominent part of your cookware storage so people know you're a Real Foodie and have $400 to spend on Made in France while you use normal Demeyere and Staub stuff for real cooking because cast iron is garbage that belongs in historical LARPs and renfaires not real cooking.Whereas a crockpot is for waxing your chain.

>>20430897BothI want to make carnitas or brisket tacos this weekend
>>20430884isn't staub also a cast iron made in france brand?
>>20430915Yeah sorry I meant Falk. All those monosyllabic western european names sound the same to me. Not racist I'm just telling it like it is #nofilter
>>20430880Dutch oven if you brown your meat before braising it, crock pot if you dump it all in like sloppa.
>>20430880>Should I get a crackpotNah. Mother-in-laws aren't worth the hassle.
I have both but i used to use the crock pot crock as a dutch oven sometimes so theres that option
>>20430880If you are a stay at home housewife who spends hours every day cooking then an expensive Dutch oven might be of use to you. But 95% of people will use a crock pot much more often than a Dutch oven. Also, if you are willing to spend an extra 20 bucks you can get an instant pot which works as a crockpot but also does other stuff too.
