Heya /cgl/! I made the decision to give cosplaying a try. I cant describe how much i enjoyed it, especially because im a very extroverted person. What do you guys think of my first cosplay? :]
>>

>>

>>
Glad you had a good time anon! When I dont cosplay at a con I feel like I'm missing out.

how did you cut a hole for your head in the bottom of the monitor if you are willing to share?

I have heard some people use a rubber ring to keep the plastic edge away from your skin, and others just sand the shit out of it
>>
>>10868278
damn nice
>>
>>10868309
I removed the electronics, Used a soldering iron to cut thru the plastic because I didn't have the right saw, used pipe insulation to cover the rough edges. Got myself Plexi Glas and 3-5% tinting foil. And done!

>>
>>10868385
Saw a girl going as one and looked really cool. So I got inspired. The community itself is very small though. I would describe ourselves as objectheads.
>>
>>10868275
You should do the cardboard box guys from Street Fighter 6 next
>>
>>10868275

CRTs are good for retro gaming and occasionally retro television, as games and shows from that era were made with CRTs mechanics in mind (and sometimes used the line effect to compensate for limited graphic quality, which made 3D games and SFX look better than they actually were) and often look worse quality on modern screens as a result.

but objectively? no, it's not better for anything else. it's just better at running things that were made to be run on CRTs. everything else is nostalgia.
>>
>>10878737
OP here, I made sure I bought a broken one since the refresh rate of those bad boys impeccable. I love CRT's, I wouldn't waste them.
>>
>>10868275
The little face in the monitor is super cute, nice costume! I do enjoy those TV heads as they remind me of recksnows from Geno Reconguista.

Hiii, OP here. Well I bought 3-5% tinting foils for cars. Please make sure they make it clear that it's 3-5%, don't buy any of that UV crap or whatever. Regular Car Tinting Foil, you'll find it online or at a store somewhere close to you.
>>
>>10881049
Wait, how do you see from in there, is the inside LED display small enough for you to look over it or something?
>>
>>10881444
Yeah, it's hard too see In there but the LED matrix in small enough to leave enough gaps to see enough. I also saw some people use a periscope.
