Even though i live quite near the tropic of cancer and carry pure and perfect hatred for hot weather, summer, the mosquitoes which it brings, the sweat...i can go on but i also have awe for the Desert. I love it's aesthetic beauty, the fight which the creatures and plant life which inhabit it carry against death foretold by nature itself. I love the desert, please help me expand my collection.
>>8027593its easy to say that during fall / winter. but once spring and especially summer comes you will be begging to leave.
Share some prog rock wallpapers, new or old, or anything music-related if you want too
>>8019339Prog is taking what sounds like segments from a bunch of different songs, and mashing them together for a not-always-coherent song.
>>8020332Just image reverse searched this. cool, thanks for sharing.
All the shit you thought was cool when you were 12: wars, fighting, guns...

Hi /wg/ my daughter is dying of leukemia and has told me this image brings her hope (The story of Joan of Arc is special to both her late mother and especially to her). I want to commission the artist for something truly special or perhaps buy a proper canvas illustration of it for her bedroom. Does anyone know who made it or know where it came from?
>>8054451That is very heartbreaking.

Anyone have any high-res Nagai or Nagai-syled art?

>>8053312I can't fully articulate it, but there's something about his art that has this nostalgic 8-bit, early 16-bit gaming era feel to it for me, part of it is that it's from the same time period, and also the stylized "low fidelity" abstraction feel that the best graphics had back then.
thought this style looked familiarhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv8AtzGF14A
I'm looking for nature wallpapers I can add to my collection, preferably with orange tones or warm color. Here are some I already have:

I love the feelings of melancholy, sadness, homesickness, tiredness invoked by images of soviet/brutalist architecture. In this thread i will post some High Res Pics of that!Feel free to post some aswell, everyone is welcome.(I will also be posting some music)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNk99-9sBYQ&list=PLkpi4OlrotP10wzwUzHVjBtYNZv9sHO1G&index=38&ab_channel=%D0%93%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%A4%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%BC%3F-Topic
>>8055897honestly the only thing you need to do is paint them the same color and add some details to the outside window skirts>pic related (not a nazi) looks so much better than just concrete or just glass. it's a shame how some parts of bucharest look although on summer nights especially in places with lots of abandoned interwar buildings there is this smell in the air and a weird atmosphere makes me think of the southern us
>>8055921>>pic relatedIf the Nazis knew one thing, it was how not to look like dogshit. It doesn't take much to not make brutalism look like shit (hell I've seen art deco here in Bucharest that you need to LOOK for to distinguish from brutalism), but that's exactly the issue: it's so simple to fuck up.And it is fucked up. Repeatedly.Germany's massive projects in the thirties and forties were worth something because they were done not just with practicality in mind - they were done with the goal to inspire. If a government can make a concrete block look appealing, then is it any wonder how they can swing an entire nation into a frenzy?I'm off track. My biases are showing.Point is: brutalism does not have to be ugly. But the communists have ruined yet another thing by defining the goddamn style to be ugly, bleak, bland and ultimately not even practical due to its flimsiness. Making concrete of all things look weak is a feat in and of itself.
>>8012785You literally just described what the United States has routinely done to us with a capitalist economy. Go outside.
>>8055948Lol you dumb fuck, the nazis made the most bland, unnecessarily opulent (yet horribly designed) buildings that serve no utility other than just being big fucking eyesores.Oh cool pillars with basically no design or purpose! They definitely don't look like they were designed by unartistic morons with blank checks trying to remember what Roman architecture looked like /s
>>8056328And yet their aesthetic is still remembered for being imposing and a show of power even 80 years later in spite of the Soviets being the world power that came out on top and dominated half the world with its ideological strong-arming all the while.Curious.
Post animated papes. GIF preferred.
>>8055097Couldn't tell you. I don't use Windows, and I don't imagine anyone else posting images in this thread does either.

I have a few very minimal papes, I thought a thread considerate of those with shitmachines or terrible internet may be appreciated.200 KB or less.
>>7979142>200 KB or less.Anything with decent compression can get a file under 200kb. But yes, we can go lower. Many simple "image floating is space" backgrounds can go even SMALLER by just cropping the image. Set it as your background, centered, and have the rest of the space filled with a solid matching color. Telling it to tile an image works as well. Irony: when you make a background thread in a section where the real space saving images aren't even allowed due to size restrictions.
>>8011762Came to this thread just to look for this one. You made my favorite pape, Anon. Thanks.
