Actually if you can deal with the broad bodies, particularly at the hips, the Crime Syndicate Superwoman and Flash movie Supergirl are probably your best bets if you mean Toddslop only.

Some of the DC Direct had more perky breasts, perhaps, like the Rule 63 Superwoman that is also with the Batwoman from that wave, but she has a very distinct face. So your best bet might be this, which tends to be way overpriced on the secondary market just because it's a bit hard to find.

I finally found one two months ago for a good price, used, with some paint smears that I was actually able to clean up, and she was part of a lot of about 5 figures that I will be able to flip 2-3 (for either what I paid or close) for the entire lot, so it was essentially free.

I don't like the cape, it's excessively big, but that's actually accurate to the comic book. Her figure is good one, I can understand not liking the hair - but again, accurate to the comic.

If all that is an issue, the Lucy Lane Superwoman from the New Krypton wave is probably more your speed since she has longer hair but she's even way more overpriced and I've never seen her loose, secondhand, in over a year plus of looking through sites.

Todd makes truly SHITTY female figures.

Don't defend that slop just to hate on DC Direct; it's not even Mattel you're bashing.

For some yes, but my intent is that the execution of the design doesn't match the McFarlane style of 2020. I don't know if there could be an execution of Ambush Bug's design that does, but it'd require actual paint on the figure besides its head for one. Something they weren't willing to do.

>>
>>10967214
I would've left it had it been on the back as well. I'd rather it be uniform. Hopefully when it gets rereleased with a plastic cape it won't be half finished.
>>
>>10967220
A better solution would be to add your own wash on the back (or redo the whole thing with your own wash). It doesn't have to be perfect or look exactly the same as the factory wash as the back is less noticed. It's useful to know how to do a wash for customizing, as it can really help a figure's details stand out better.

>With mcfarlane you have to be really picky.
>... Injustice 2 Supergirl headsculpt
See, this is my issue. I've been fine with some McFarlane figures. I understand the complaints people have with the Bermejo Page Puncher but I ended up with two because I bought one at Target and then ended up winning an auction for another new one for $10; one will end up being fodder when I get more free time. Same with Red Son and that Solar Suit (Lois & Clark) Superman.

But other things I regretted or returned or simply passed them by. These people saying, I used this head and these wrists and these feet, I just don't understand why they want to go to that much work. I can see fixing a few things. Especially if I don't have to pay full retail to do so.

More than that is a waste of time and annoying.

>>10965562
The Super Powers are fine at $9.99 each. I'm eyeing the Hal Jordan if I end up being able to get him on sale with free shipping which is what I am expecting, and if it doesn't happen, I'll live.

I like Flash and I agree with you. A friend on one of the DC Community Boards told me those Page Puncher Heatwave and Captain Cold were marked down and they were like $8 or 9 but the figures looked like awful crap. If I wouldn't put a bad comic book cover up on my wall, why would I buy this crap just to have a toy. Sadly, there aren't many good figures for Flash rogues but there could be.

The Grodd one is actually decent but doesn't interest me at all. I do own a Reverse Flash but it's an older DC Direct.

The one by Western and Sunset that it took them forever to get final approval to finish. I think there's two stores near Huntington Beach that are bigger (more square footage) and technically, the La Cienaga store near LAX is also 'bigger' but this one has more aisles for toys, because they also have that collectors nook, and the pokemon section, plus the section for the Fisher Price and other kids toys.

>>10968332

They had to put Power Rangers and other crap to fill in the section so it wasn't TOTALLY bare.

And if you all think FUCK TARGET, these are selling out on his store, that's like thinking because 100 people are selling out a nightclub every night, SO and SO is as popular as Taylor Swift and should have a movie made of her concert that millions will watch....

>>
>>10968338
To be fair, there were two more boxes of the white bearded Aquaman's at the collector's nook area, I didn't bother photographing those.

And three of those BTAS Scarecrows that are always parked in that Nook, that no one has buying, are still warming the peg. I was at this store last Christmas, and they were there, with more of that BTAS stock as well. In fact, that entire section was full, including Retro Bat '66 crap and some Super Powers, and yesterday it was just seven things (if you count the two Disney toys) from Todd in that area.

There were literally more remaindered, discounted Shazam and Flash movie Batkeaton Funko DC boxes in the clearance section (about 20) than there were McFarlane toys in the entire store, if you counted the Disney Microverse and any other product MTS (My Hero) makes besides DCMV.

i hope that's real leather, because that fuzzy texture on pleather is tacky as fuck.

Also, looks bad. Both sides should have the grain leather texture if it's pleather, but that would add even more thickness, huh?

I think DCD and Mezco have best cloth capes, but even then, i still prefer plastic. There's no hope for cloth when it bunches and bulks around the seams.

should have used bridal leather.

You can also shave off the fuzziness on calf/lamb skin and it's much thinner.
It's not hard, but you can fuck it up, but when you're working on a small scale, you have plenty of material to work with even if you only buy one square foot of leather.
With real cloth, you kinda need to learn how to sew.

Also, they sell plenty of custom capes on ebay. I'm sure they're all quality. Kinda expensive tho.

Anyway, nothing really will ever match the perfectness of plastic. Always dynamic and looks most accurate.

For non-wire superhero cloth capes, it looks flat and doesn't have taht ruffled shape people associate with cape comics (those peaks on the edges, that eventually became part of the cape design).
Most toylines when they use wired cloth look like they're using blankets and towels, and usually an unfinished looking underside. No natural looking folds either, unlike plastic capes that are sculpted to look natural.

My idea of dynamic is moving with the character in a natural manner. This is possible with wired capes, >>10969768
while more limited with plastic ones since they're mostly static

Just cut a piece out of an old shirt or your underwear if you want a fabric cape.

static (as in one pose) yeah, but dynamic nonetheless.

And like i said, yeah, cloth can be more dynamic, but it's usually too thick and the underside usually looks unfinished.

Again, if McFarlane made a really nice cloth, I can't really say until i've seen it in person. Black can be hard to judge, because it absorbs shadows.
Also, the picture you linked to has Robin with his plastic cape looking super nice. Just look at how the cape gives itself shadows. Its closer to the comics than a cloth cape can be.
I forget if they have that really nice thin silicon rubber too.

heres ur dynamic cape pose
>>
>>10969995
He would consider that dynamic by his definition. But maybe just not a good figure. People seemed to dislike the mcfarlane cartoon figures so they stopped getting made. Now some people's teams will be forever incomplete.
>>
>>10969905
I have the same Batman (great figure but it's more of a statue, the articulation is worthless) and used pleather. Like >>10969932 said you can shave that fuzz, I went an extra mile, sanded then used a hot iron to give it shape to the wrinkles. It's not leather in the movie, I believe it's some fabric with a coating of latex/rubber.

It's not my definition, it's literally the English language's definition.

Why don't you consider drawings to be dynamic, just because they're stuck in a single pose forever and ever? You just have a very narrow or selective view.

Check out these shadows, which are more faithfully reproduced on plastic capes. No paint apps are even needed.

I also do not have that 6 pack, but I did slap an extra cloth cape that I had on Bale. For the life of me, I can't get a good photo angle, but it does show how you can get some more dynamic poses with the cloth capes. I'm fairly happy with this one but I'll probably replace him with the mafex if it ever gets a reissue.

Computer generated comics!? This was a thing?
I wouldn't mind getting figures of these iterations.

It's basically just early photoshop comics.

15 years later they did another digital only comic book and it looks a million times worse.

you mean better. Early 90's CGI is kino while 80's EGA shit looks like ass. I get that this war machine comic is ass and is actually from the early 00's but it still has that silicone workstation/90's CGI look.

You're dumb.

Crash looks like stylized amazing that puts any current pixel game shit to shame and would have been praised in the 90s by anyone who enjoyed SEGA CD or PCE VNs.

Whereas WM2.0 was written by the worst writer Marvel had at the time and looks like unfunny bootleg shit from the 90s. Irredeemable trash, except i guess from people who enjoy that Jerma guy.
>>
>>10970119
Yeah none of what you said has anything to do with what I pointed out. Crash looks like the worst of the 16 bit era, though I will point out that we don't have the benefit of viewing them on CRT's which would definitely help. And yeah of course the art style would have been praised in the early 90's PC's were shit even compared to consoles and that shit was pre-rendered. I'm not pixel-art hater, I just have a soft-spot for 90's CGI. Those 80's comics would look great with a scanline filter or something if you ever wanted a fun way to reread them.
>>
>>10970122
are you seriously a parody of the retarded dad who gets his kid bootleg pixar movies and thinks they're just as good just cause they use cgi?
>>
>>10970137
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, it appears. That's ok, I will clarify. Yes, I realize the Warmachine comic is an utter abomination. I'm just saying I think the art style looks better and that I'm not a fan of the pixel-art style that Crash uses. Seriously try the scanline idea btw, I think it could be cool to read those early digital comics the same way the designers made them.
>>

Yeah, no.
>I'm just saying I think the art style looks better
see? parody of retarded dad who gets his kids bootleg pixar films because he thinks cgi looks great just cause it's cgi.

I can just see the McDonalds executives watching a cut of the movie saying "I don't know about this giant bat scene. It may frighten children. We don't want a repeat of Batman Returns!"

But likely the studio self-censored on merely the hint of something dark, and Tommy Lee Jones was told to play up Two Face like a cartoon character to make him seem less frightening

I wanted some of the Gentle Giant micro figs and the cheapest way to get them was to buy a new lot from a seller off EB, I ended up with a few of these (the smaller 3.75" versions, the Aquaman and the Hawkgirl so I am guessing those were the least popular) and a Logan. If I even get $3-4 each plus the shipping, of course, I'll recover my expense.

I'm going to make a custom with a Todd Slop from this show, but I would have no interest in a body buck that matched Bruce Timm's model style. But I'm probably not the key audience for that art, and this these toys.

You can find stands for pretty cheap on ebay. I picked up about twenty for like eight bucks.
They’re thin enough they don’t don’t distract from the figure and the solid black looks better on a shelf than the huge quarter inch thick clear stands people buy for bulk displays. I’ve noticed a lot of those clear ones have three or four pegs for different sizes but the peg McFarlane uses fits most other figures.

No neck due to hugefuck trapezoids, long brick jawed face, jutting wide chin, flat gaunt cheeks and thin lips. "Shes" frankly got more male features than your average male figure. Unironically looks like a troon as every other anon has pointed out already.
The makeup and smallish nose are the only things you could call feminine about this mug.
