The general thread for Manga / manga-styled comic-making, manga-style illustration and related comic work. That said, everyone is welcome here.

Support each other and talk about your work or the work of others that excites you. Inking, character design, paneling / layout, writing, planning, and other discussions are all welcome.
Post resources, questions, in-progress pages, breakdowns of other works, etc. If a work is not yours, credit the maker (unless it's fucking obvious like a full page of One Piece or something).
Thanks to everyone for making /mmg/ a level-headed and helpful place. Remember, drawing and making comics and manga are difficult endeavors, and we're all in this struggle together.

Some western / indie publishers of Manga:

Saturday AM ( https://www.saturday-am.com/ )
> Digital indie magazine, seems to be on the up-and-up
> Open submissions for long-form series; also distributes series currently being published elsewhere.
> Regularly publishes one-shots, making it a good potential outlet for already-finished work.

Oni Press ( https://onipress.com/ )
> Technically indie, but at this point large enough by comic standards to be mentioned in the same breath as other publishers.

Antarctic Press ( https://antarctic-press.myshopify.com/ )
> Longtime large-indie publisher of OEL / manga-esque books.
> Seemingly taking submissions at present if http://www.antarctic-press.com/html/submissions.php is anything to go on.

Yen Press ( https://yenpress.com/ )
> Started out as a small indie publisher of original / Korean material, and has grown reasonably popular since.
> As of 2016, it is also one of the western arms of the Kadokawa Corporation, with Kadokawa owning a 51% stake.
> Editorial inquiries can apparently be sent to yenpress@yenpress.com, however, they apparently are not open to new submissions at this time.

Viz Media / Viz Originals ( https://www.viz.com/originals )
> *The* western manga publisher.
> Currently in the exploratory stages of setting up an English label.
> Submissions are open and several books have been announced. However, progress on the label seems to be moving very slowly.
> Still might be worth a shot anyway.

Shrine Comics ( https://shrinecomics.com/ )
> Small indie manga publisher
> Seemingly attempting to make the transition to physical volumes
> Allows crossposting to other sites

Iconic Comics (https://www.iconiccomics.com/)
>A bit like Oni Press and Antarctic Press
>A small publisher with a focus on indie works with manga inspiration
>>
Other open comic publishers:

Dark Horse ( https://www.darkhorse.com )
>Dark Horse still welcomes your submissions, and all submissions will still be reviewed, just as they always have been.
>All unsolicited story/series proposals must have a full creative team on board. Writer-only proposals will not be reviewed.

Image comics ( https://imagecomics.com/ )
>Image Comics only publishes creator-owned material. They do not contract creators; they’re only interested in publishing original content for which you would retain all rights.
>Image Comics publishes creator-owned/creator-generated properties and THEY DON’T PAY PAGE RATES. Image takes a small flat fee off the books published, and it will be the responsibility of the creators to determine the division of the remaining pay between their creative team members.

Drawn and quarterly ( https://drawnandquarterly.com/ )
>Please email a low resolution PDF with at least 20 pages of comics and cover letter to submissions. Do not send dropbox links, scripts, or proposals. Please read our submissions FAQ.

Fantagraphics ( https://www.fantagraphics.com/ )
>submission page: https://www.fantagraphics.com/pages/faq

Top Shelf Productions ( https://www.topshelfcomix.com/ )
>Regarding submissions, we're easy. Just email us a download link of what you'd like us to review. NOTE: We cannot accept cover letters, plot synopses, or scripts unless they are accompanied by a minimum of 10-20 completed pages (i.e., fully inked and lettered comic book pages).

I noticed Manga Plus wasn't on the OP list. was just looking at their page, it seems pretty decent.
here's one of their manga. (pic related)
I'm also trying something similar by making a musician character.
music is a potentially tricky subject to deal with, in a silent manga.

do you take feedback from japanese readers a bit more to heart, since we're all trying to replicate their culture in some way or another? Like getting these cute little emotes from pixiv? I remember when i was shitpositing on an /a/ thread, and one of my drawings got scraped and posted by a big fan account on twitter, and it got a ton of かわいいs and i rode that high for a while

>do you take feedback from japanese readers a bit more to heart
Not really. I mean, I guess I should since they're the target audience, but I'm just glad to get feedback from anybody at the moment. I haven't really gotten much feedback from the non-japanese who've seen it anyway, beyond "looks good"-type feedback.
Not surprising cos it only hit pirate sites a day or so ago and I'm a literal who.
>since we're all trying to replicate their culture in some way or another?
Not everyone is. I wasn't, for one. I only do right now because japan is my audience.

Mail-in survey answers:
> “Girlfriend Until Satisfied!” is the first adult manga in history to receive an honorable mention submission from overseas. Mr. Dingle, the school youth erotic drama that unfolds in the school's literature club room has an interesting excitement. Not only the sexual desire of Mr. Okada and Mr. Fujimori, who have long straight black hair, but also the innocent schoolgirls of Mr. Matsui and Mr. Hanamura, the complex secret technique sex where everyone makes full use of titty fuck was a tremendous pleasure acme furniture.
> "Girlfriend until you're satisfied!" is interesting. The story of his love affair with four women is very interesting.
> The heroines were very attractive. I want you to draw a continuation.
> All the heroines are cute, the setting is good, and Ms. Hanamura, who seems the most plain, is unexpected. I thought there were people who were really looking forward to future works. It's also good to have sex with someone else's help. I enjoyed reading it.
> Mr. Dingle's "Girlfriend Until Satisfied!" was very good. The drawings have a lot of individuality, and I'm looking forward to your next work.
Web survey answers:
> I think it was very good.
> Mr. Dingle's work is at the level of immediate serial publication. If he can mass-produce this level of work, I think he can become an author who can carry the Dreamscape on his back. I am rooting for you and wish you the best of luck.
> It is a fascinating picture and the volume is very large, and the content is also full of scenes that stick in my habit and pull me out (such as a blowjob with a superior eye).... I was disappointed to see the white correction.... I also wanted to see the genital expression (especially penis).... I would love to see it published in book form...! Among the attractive heroines, I think Matsui Chiharu is my personal favorite.... I look forward to seeing more of your work...!

If you don't mind me asking, Mr. Dingle, sir, how did you find your jp editor and how much do you pay him? Does he do anything other than check that the japanese is normal and not too machine-y?
>>
>>7160885
I submitted work to the magazine, and my current editor contacted me through the magazine's twitter.
I don't pay anybody, the publisher pays me (a page rate/royalties) and the editor (a salary). We're coworkers, neither one of us is the boss.
He's an editor, he does everyone a manga editor does. We strategize what genre we're gonna focus on, he critiques the work (mostly the writing though he'll point out things in art he thinks could be added/changed for the better) and also, since I'm not there to do it, represents me to his boss (the editor-in-chief). On top of that manga editors also make the title logos for the works, does the final typesetting (which is where he corrects my dialogue) and various magazine-related stuff.
I don't necessarily have to follow his advice, though I'd be stupid not to.

What do I need to know to make stories like Jiro Taniguchi and Makoto Shinkai? I'm not interested in fantasy or battle shonen stories, but I find it very difficult to write about everyday stories and romance, as I have no experience IRL, all my reference is for movies and slice of life manga. I want to write mature, almost cinematic stories, something that can easily be adapted into a movie like Jiro Taniguchi's stories. As much as I have a large repertoire of references, I can't write
>>
>>7162380
A lot of artists will use a cloud texture brush tool and spam it as often or as little as needed, and then do some subtle screentones to denote volume/shading. It's as shrimple as that. Like how for dense foilage they might just use a leaf/tree brush tool and spam that in the background.
>>
>>7162537
>very difficult to write about everyday stories and romance, as I have no experience IRL
>very difficult to write about everyday stories

Anon, what? Every single day you exist and live your life is its own self contained "everyday story." How are you defining that term that it's drastically different from slice-of-life? The whole point is that you're portraying people going about their daily lives.
>>
>>7162537
If you have to ask then you're not qualified.
>>
>>7162540
How can I write about romance credibly if I've never had a romance experience IRL?
>>
>>7162550
write it anyway / watch romcoms
>>
>>7162550
Romance isn't the only part of slice of life, anon, there's literally everything else. But if you're super adamant regarding the romance angle, then the next-best substitute (not that it's super great, mind you, but it's what's there) is to simply watch or read famous media that deal with romance (both as the major point and as a subplot). Literally read and watch as much as you're willing to. You will see what the characters do or feel at certain points and you'll at least be able to mimic those points.

Again, this substitute ain't great, but it's what you're left with at this specific point in time.
>>
>>7162550
>>7162537
Why are you asking this on/mmg/? Ask it on stupid questions or /lit/.
>>
>>7162524
I meant more like darker clouds, like stormy clouds, those are like harder to get them right

>>
>>7162550
Ignore what others have said here and just take inspiration from romcoms. They're speaking as if romance slice of life fiction is even remotely similar to real life.
Either that or just make it up. Most people aren't going to care as long as it goes the direction they want it to and is satisfying to read.
>>
Does anyone have advice for creating and redrawing interiors of rooms that are going to be used multiple times?
>>
>>7162777
What is specifically the problem?
>>
>>7162777
you can try drawing backgrounds on a bigger highres canvas, and then choosing different zoomed in dections as backgrounds so it's not obvious that it's copy and pasted
if you don't have enough this to do, you can learn blender. it's fairly easy to block things out like a bedroom with simple objects in blender, do a quick render in perspective, and just add details manually
or best advice is you can just copy paste backgrounds. it's not that big of a deal. stuff like sayonara eri works because all the panels are the same aspect ratio since it's supposed to be filmed / cinematic and the back is supposed to be stationary, but if you're doing normal dynamic panels, mix up panels with rendered backgrounds with just plain gradients, dot patterns for stuff like closeups or actions scenes. if you mix it up, it's not as obvious.
>>
>>7163148

>>
>>7163148
While I agree with the concept of what you're saying, I also have to agree with >>7163402 somewhat - that page feels like what the mangaka was trying to do didnt quite translate. The man's facial expressions are a bit too subtle and if a reader were to look at the panels at the usual pace an average reader does, the four panels blend into the same pic. There is no intrinsically "wrong" way to depict a series of events provided that the reader gets what happened, but there sometimes are certainly much better ways.

You need to basically hone your art form to an insane level so that everyone thinks you're a madman, where everyone is telling you to give up or slow down for your health but you don't

>0600 wake up

>2030 get out of office
>2100 get out of gym
>2130 home

Back in March, I forced myself to wake up on 0230 to draw.
But I could only keep up with this lifestyle for nearly 2 months before I collapsed.
And no, I don't have the time to draw at the office.
As I said it's a maximum wage-slavery job.
I'm under constant "strangle" until at least most of people has gone home from work at 1730, that's when things start to ease up quite a bit.
Still, there are a lot of shits left to do because I spend my entire morning and afternoon dealing with all their bullshits.

You seem to be talking about cumulonimbus and nimbostratus clouds, which may be harder to stylize. They tend to clump up more than other types of clouds which gives them higher contrast and harder edges. Layering is your best friend in this case to give the sky a sense of volume, as well as give the clouds some depth in their height (cumulonimbus in particular are extremely tall).

I'm mean more like how to make the clouds more darker, get that kind of texture on the sky, but in a monocrome setting, i have tried with screentones and i couldn't get it right, i do not have problems with drawing or making that kind of stuff in color or grayscale, but for some reason i don't like the results i had in monocrome
I hope i explain myself well now

You're not going to get a straight answer. There's no "correct" way to draw something, everyone has different methods for shit, developed through trial and error. Go find some artist you like and try and find examples of them drawing what you're trying to draw and study that.

it's pretty hard to translate the movement of video over to a medium where the average reader is done with a page after 3 seconds, but most people would go "oh, it's the same panel 4 times" "that's dumb and lazy" and then go "there's no way he's that lazy, why?" "well i have to double check now" "oh yeah, his face is slightly different there". he had the choice into tricking the reader into playing spot the difference and risk it being glossed over by page flippers, or ruin the tone and composition with a zoomed in shot. btb, this is in context of an 8 page scene with the exact same background. This is not the worst example. there's another 8 page scene with a shot of a IV bag infront of a window - no movement at all, minimal dialogue. and of course theres 4 or 5 pages that's compeltely black i think

I'f be more interested to see how other authors convey time passing. there's this, and there's the extreme of the Houseki no Kuni author taking a 2 year hiatus during the plot-timeskip

don't want to turn this off topic, but sayonara eri is probably the reason why the cm anime was the way it was. i didn't watch it, but it was funny seeing people react to it the way they did. they shouldn't have be too surprised when fans of the source aren't going to get on board with your ozu / tarkovsky homage
>>
>>7164054
I would say you definitely need something. Looks pretty bland, as-is. Maybe some indication of environment on the larger full-page panel, and the little panels can just be straight-up black, or have some toning/hatching/something in them to make them stand out a bit.

Better, but your linework is pretty jarring against it and I haven't seen any improvement there in a while

One of the problems with learning as you work is that an artist tends to get too comfortable drawing the same things and people in the same way and never try to improve beyond that because they want to get it done quickly.

Ink wash or markers. If you think controlling value with hatching is hard you're going to have a lot of "fun" with washes.

>>
>>7165059
It's a huge leap to go from not drawing at all to drawing something, anything. Most people won't even do this first step. From there, you have to be even more insane or autistic to want to basically do multiple drawings again and again and again, page after page. Possibly dozens of pages. For some anons on /mmg/, you're at hundreds of pages. For an average of 2-6 panels per page, that's a whole lot of drawing. No surprise that the average anon on /mmg/ would be able to grind themselves to a relatively higher level.
>>

Ooh it's you! I recognize your manga from the leeches page. It was quite a while back that you posted that page, if I recall, so it's good to see your work finally come this far!
That aside, it's always nice to see a hidden gem emerge from this board, as slow as it may be and as long as it takes, it is worth it for truly passionate and wonderful craftsmanship such as this. Every page is given equal care and attention to detail that I can only imagine how long it took to hatch them all by hand. The exposition is set up nicely, and I love the world that you have displayed so far. The art greatly aids in its immersion and makes the whole thing very enjoyable to read and imagine. The dialogue is another noteworthy part, as it is written extremely formally, which fits the setting, while not being overbearing or annoying to read.
Overall, this is a very solid start to a comic that you can just tell by looking at it that a lot of care was put into it. Well done.
>>
>>7164035
try guptil, rendering in pen and ink
there's nothing on clouds specifically but the whole book is full of great rendering advice and references
>>
>>7165047
Really nice overall, though I think your commitment to rendering only in black and white lead to some compositional problems that made it a little tough to tell what's going on at first glance. Particularly the underwater scenes, and certain design choices like never drawing the river dragon's eyes.
Also the scene in the barracks/hospital thing was a little... I dunno, weird? It felt like too much happened too quickly with too little to orient the reader. Gawain somehow knew there was a boy still underwater, one of the leeches suddenly turned into a toddler (which surprised nobody?), said toddler then walked off to get dressed without saying a word, a cute girl suddenly appears then leaves just as quick and we're done.
The intro and the scene fighting the dragon were quite good, but that scene in the building was pretty confusing.

Anyway very nice artwork overall. I've autistically hatched enough pages like that to know how much of a pain it is.
>>
>>7165082
All of it is done with the default csp pen. Sometimes I use a ruler if I'm feeling lazy. If everything goes to plan then I can manage a page and a half a day but usually it's a page a day. This chapter took a lot longer cause I'd never drawn rapids like this and kept changing my mind on how to draw it. The next chapter is in a more familiar setting and should hopefully take a lot less time.

Like said, the hatching and art is nice but the moment to moment story makes no sense. Things happen at random with no build-up, and no elaboration, and it's not like they're gags or anything.

Perhaps you're just trying to do the whole 'in media red' thing and think that the mystery of wtf all this is will keep people reading, but I find it has the opposite effect on me. If I don't have a foothold in the setting, the tone and the rules of the world from the start, then I'm not invested in reading.

you need to work on everything that happens after the intro anon. especially after the fight scene with the dragon. its too confusing and seemingly tensionless. a baby appears and then it leaves. a pretty barmaid appears and then leaves. the guy underneath the tavern sulks and then the story ends. its a setup to a subplot cut short before you even have any idea what the subplot could possibly be about, while also seemingly lacking any connection with the alien-meteor overarching plot you opened the chapter with. The only thing i can divine is that the girl might have some sort of connection with the aliens. because big lips = alien?? but then again she is the only female character we see. maybe thats just how you draw women in general?

the art in the intro was cool. the fight scene with the crocodile was cool, but at times it was a little hard to parse. you put too much black in the design of the crocodile-dragon imo. It looked alittle too much like a black blob at times, especially because you chose to have it be an eyeless creature. without the eyes it was hard to interpret it as menacing beast rather than an obscure aggressive black entity.

I'm not overly concerned about leaving information unexplained (such as the leeches), the main issue I see with this chapter is that it... doesn't go anywhere... as a reader, I have no clue where the story is heading, I don't know if it's a mystery, adventure, comedy, etc...
Your art is very good so not a problem with that.

well there is this webtoon that clearly uses ai.
https://www.webtoons.com/en/romance/quantum-entanglement/list?title_no=5775
the author denies it but it's pretty obviously not fully her own art. she probably had to feed the model a lot of specific art styles to get something that worked somewhat believably, but even then it still has its flaws so hopefully by the time ai gets good enough to help with that there'd be some kind of regulation stopping it from taking over the human comic artists.
in the short term though i could see ai generated floor plans or maybe even basic 3d environments being able to be used to speed up the process.

Depends on what I'm drawing. If it's your average comic page, then I use a small narrow brush that mimics a smooth ink pen. If it's something like an actual cover, I use it a little less and use more hard round brush. And just in case anyone asks, I'm on PS so I'm using manga brushes in the Kyle's Manga set which is free for all PS users.

I looked through it. I see you posting pages here from time to time, and I've never really commented on them, so I suppose I will now.

First, for things I like, I think the art is the strongest thing, but it still does need some work. You have some fun character gesture, body language, and character expressions. Though, I think you tend to go a bit overboard with the "nonchalant, bored head tilt". Your characters all seem to have pretty similar hairstyles too, so once we get into the thick of things, it can be a bit hard to tell them apart. I would try to give some of the characters more distinct hairstyles or outfits, or something so we can more easily tell them apart.

I'm also still baffled by how you construct your pages. Do you draw all the panels individually, and then take pictures of them then assemble them into pages? There's got to be a better way...can't you get a cheap scanner, or something?

As for the writing and story...I won't lie, its borderline incomprehensible as it is. You desperately need a proofreader or someone who knows the nuances of English a bit better. For one, it took me looking over the first 5 pages for about 10 minutes to figure out what direction I was supposed to read in, and even now, I'm still not sure (Is it supposed to be left to right?) I thought it was supposed to be left or right, but sometimes you seem to reverse to right to left.

Your lack of really understanding English also makes it seem sometimes like there are a dozen different people talking on any given page. The dialogue just seems like random non-sequiturs than coherent thoughts. This might be solved by actual word balloons connecting the dialogue and anchoring it to a character. As of right now, it just reads as random streams of thought. I gave up after 10 or 12 pages. I'd randomly read a page or two here or there, and there are some areas where it is easy enough to follow and coherent, but then you just lose it a panel or two, or a page later.

Not him but to get to the point where you can pull it off efficiently you're inevitably going to go through many many hours of backgrounds. At least I did. was a bit curious, since it's been a while since i explored the "using photographs as manga backgrounds" concept that gets floated around here occasionally. prompt was "japanese classroom with 2point perspective, facign the windows and back of the classroom, chairs placed unevenly.
It didn't follow any of the additional descriptors, and just gave me generic classroom shots. This took around half an hour of cleanup, as the entire left side was bathed with shadow when posterised, so basically had to redraw it entirely. also have to note that theres a lot of noise, as copilot / dalle isn't super hidef, especially when you're used to working with 300 or 600dpi with comics.
The overall process is no different to tracing a photograph, but with the added problem of objects not making sense, like chair legs melting and overlapping.
A tip / observation -- backgrounds made with photos/3d renders like unreal are super obvious if they don't have a lot of fixup done to it, as the forms are heavity defined by light and shadow rather than lines. There's a lot of great painterly comics out there, but most comic makers live and die by the line. They define all the objects by lines first, then add shadows and highlights
I want to stress how useless AI still is for anything outside of generating the most generic settings, but if that's all you need, it's a cheaper and copyright free alternative to photographs. Still absolutely not recommended for anything other than wide shots to establish settings, but if you fine with the Asano-style look, go for it. Me personally, I love backgrounds, especially tree trucks. there's no perspective rulers, it's just me bonding with some squiggly curves. absolute peace

>So, you didn't read it whole?
I jumped around a bit, but the writing is really jarring. There are some bits here and there that just don't make ANY sense at all.

I get the feeling too that you're sort of aping a lot of manga and anime that you really like, without actually understanding what they're saying and why. You also have a lot of dialogue that's just superfluous, and sometimes a character will say the same thing in three or four different ways in the same panel.

>Could you tell where, i would like to see what i could do
Pic related is probably one of your most readable pages, at least out of the first few. I mean, I get the gist of what's going on, but the there are some little dialogue bits that I just don't understand. This page, however, despite some minor errors, is pretty easy to follow. Its actually kinda funny too. Probably one of your most well written pages.

However, on the page prior to this, in the bottom row of three panels, you have the dialogue:

>"I know that if you were smart, you'd be scared too."
>"You know I can hear you, right?"
>"Yeah, but what does work for!!!"

I have NO idea what is being said in that third line, or how that is even a reaction to what was said in the previous panel. Weird, jarring dialogue like this is spread throughout. Your reader doesn't want to fight to try to understand what you're saying, or they're just going to move on.

East asians in general have a lot of pickled foods that they eat with rice that people who don't care to dive into their relative cuisines don't know about. It's an acquired taste, not going to lie though. I can see why people don't like it.

Non-photocopy blue. Scans don't pick it up as clearly as graphite, so it's easy to remove it from a scanned page without needing to risk smudging your inks erasing it. I dunno if that specifically is non-photocopy blue but that's the reason you see that shade of blue in animation/comics production.

You need to think of the world of your story as another character.
It needs proper care and attention. It doesn't need to be in every panel, in every page, it can be very simply done, but your viewers will notice it. Even if they (or (you)) think they don't. Look at how your favorite manga artist does it.
I'd recommend to not even think about AI in general, it is pure brain rot.

After editing this for a while, it's necessary to correct all the grammar?
I mean i know i have to change some sentences where the order of words is fuck up, but some other things like caps (that can't really be noticed depending on the font), and punctuation (that can be shown in the bubbles speech) can be left alone isn't?

I'm really sorry, i know it must be a bother having to bear me

But i also like to think that i'm doing just fine considering that it has been like 8 years since the last time i went to a class and learn anything new about english and that my only contact using the language has been shitpost on /a/ for the last five years

One of the major problems I had was simply that it was very confusing. It would be one thing if it was simple spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors, but the major problems are that it is difficult to tell who is talking sometimes, and sometimes what order the text is to be read in.

You have to realize that even minor errors tend to stick out. People can over look them sometimes, sure, but not even being able to make sense of the general idea that you're trying to get across, is just going to make people move on.

A person can understand the general framework of a language, but the problem becomes when you don't have the grasp of somewhat abstract concepts often found in these types of stories, and being able to properly convey them to the reader.

This is why I wouldn't want to use MTL to translate my shit to Japanese. It might be fine for something not really plot or dialogue heavy or with any technical terminology like a porn comic, but for a story with more substance I doubt it would be up to the task.

I think if I got to a point where I thought it had a shot in Japan, I would hire a real native translator

Thanks, I try to make the situations/characters believable. Not realistic, but hopefully with enough reality that a reader could buy it. I know that when I read porn, a bit of reality enhances the fantasy, so that's what I'm aiming for when I write the characters/scenarios. Actually not even just in porn, I think the juxtaposition between realistic elements and fantastical elements is just an effective tool for drawing a reader in and making the setting and characters compelling. Like, for example, when the characters of a heroic tale make decisions that make you, the reader think "oh, that's not far off from what I would do in that situation" it suddenly makes the work a lot more engaging as the work has made it clear that it's working on a logic that you can relate to and understand. So when a porn situation develops in a way that the reader could see themselves in, it enhances the believability (and thus hopefully eroticism) of the work. As long as it's done well, lol.

It's what I'm planning on doing for mine once I get to a point where I think I have enough material to justify the initial upfront cost. Although I'm not doing it so much for trying to make it in Japan, I'm doing it so I get to see fanart.

I'm 85% sure that i can fix that with the speech bubbles and relocating the text better
The thing is that i don't know if everything just feel off and is wrong or if are just some parts, being in this loop of either rewriting everything or just correct some parts (which reading more slowly and with patience while editing i have been able to spot more and more mistakes)

For know, now with the grammar checked by the quillbot, i will focus on the text that was highlighted for suggestions

Help. Should I put the Madalena panel here like>>7164709 or keep the banshee only? I think it would mess with the aesthetic if I try to put more panels.
