Yeah pick the lock my fat ass.
>>2785148This trick hasn't worked since around 2010.
>>2785141Practice
>>2785173There are plenty of locks that can still be shimmed like this but it’s definitely not a “works on every single padlock” like the image suggests. Mainly cheap ones although sometimes surprisingly expensive ones can be shimmed
Do you have to find good and bad indications when turning the wheels in a typical dial combo? My thought process is that if you find the 3 spots in the set of all 3 wheels, regardless of which wheel has which indication it's still an indication and you can just write the 3 numbers down and work with those for like 2 or 4 minutes instead of trying to find the indications by checking each wheel.I don't know, maybe I'm retarded.

>>2785141get a bunch of old masterlocks from your stepdad's shed
>>2785953no there is an actual process and it's based on the fact that all dial combo locks have a limited set of combos. I still use the first one I cracked.
The best and easiest steel to pick up, since no one tells you WHERE to get the damn street sweeper bristles that are so prized, is to go to your friendly local auto parts store when it's raining or snowing. You can just get handfuls of old wiper blades, most of which are reinforced by various width pairs of the best spring steel you can lay hands on just by fishing in the outside trash can. You basically just pull out the rubber bit and running down grooves on each side will be two pieces of steel.
So you have your pics and you sit down with your lock. You've seen all the videos, you understand the theory, you're going to be great. Believe with all your heart you're just going to be raking locks and single pin picking in seconds. LPL does it, why not you?I've worked with jewelry, minis, small electronics and all kinds of fine dexterity shit my whole life. Picking isn't easy when you start. Picking still isn't easy for me, but it was much easier when I was practicing. So what's going to happen? You're going to fail a lot. Your arms are going to get tired, you're going to wonder why the fuck this isn't working for you. You'll switch picks and switch back. You'll switch again. At some point when you're totally gassed and about to say fuck it, when you stopped trying to open the lock and have just been fucking around trying to feel one goddamned pin, you'll let go of the tension and hear clickclickclick and be like, what the fuck was that, I had THREE pins set? Change tools, change locks (some are easy some are not even in the same series) but just keep sitting there fucking with them, trying different tension, trying different picks.
>>2785159I have a silent tool that needs no batteries.
>>2786035this,S&G 6730 locks have 'forbidden zones' that prohibit setting combos in certain areas of the chamber of the lock. I don't remember exactly, but it's like you can't set the first wheel combination to something between 90 and 0. Depending on the exact model.

>>2786565Contact Honda, give them the serial number and proof of ownership, have them mail a key. Otherwise, learn to hotwire.
>>2786037Ohh cool, I've been saving the wiper steels for 'something' because it seemed just so special. Also because I'm a hoarder.
