>>10958701Pic looks like AI. The Batman in the cockpit doesn't even look like the Batman in the pack behind him.
>>10958710I mean maybe the package art is but i assure you the rest isnt, most ais have a obvious habit of throwing in obnoxious backgrounds that are never consistent with other images
>>10958716They're good fakes, but still fakes. The scales don't make sense and you wouldn't be able to fit the batplane into that box. Also look at that weird growth coming out of the head of the Superboy laying on his back. The blurry effect is also hiding Joker's fucked up right hand.
>>10958723i want to kick you

That Punchline face sculpt looks so bored to tears. For a character like that they need to give her some kind of facial expression. The sculptor just phoned it in.
Look at how they massacred Joker's girl.
>>10958800she was never a good design
>>10958801Maybe so, but she was certainly a lot better than what we got.
>>10958744>>10958800Who gives a shit about Punchline? Honestly.

>>10958815Cringe pairing.
>>10958818I like it, and we got a great cartoon out of it too.
>>10958818That pairing has existed for nearly as long as Harley has you fucking casual. Ivy was always Harley's side hustle. >>10958800Looks pretty accurate to me, they even nailed the tranny shoulders.
>>10958851Weren't they just besties in B: TAS?
>>10958384I think the abs on there now are TDKR Batman. Just gotta find a good set of legs for him, most likely painting the unitard on.
>>10958716So they're going to package the 1989 batwing and the Batman Returns version of Batman? Why not just use the actual 1989 version?

>>10958930I mean, when was a sexual relationship even hinted at though? Did they slap each other on the ass or anything like that?
>>10958912They were never outright fucking in TAS but it was heavily implied. Have you not watched the show?
>>10958935Go watch the fucking show you goddamn casual faggot.
>>10958935The episode "Harley and Ivy" from BTAS has the two of them cohabitating and being rather intimate while not wearing much around each other. They shared an apartment and only had one bed.
>>10958534These never hit my fucking Targets, thanks a lot Todd.
>>10958947We shouldn't have to spoonfeed these fucking idiots when the Internet as we know it exists. If you don't know about the source material of these toys, your opinion means less than nothing and you have no right to voice it.

>>10958537>Call back when they're under $5 bucks.
>>10958954>target's stock distribution is todd's fault
>>10958968Target is a huge business, but at par with Warner Brothers. Neither is in business to not sell product, whether it be a tv show, a DVD (or digital download) of a TV show, or things like licensed tees, caps, sweatshirts or licensed toys. Just like the DC shop doesn't sell every iteration of Batman on a tee shirt because they don't sell, whether it's on line or in a department store or Hot Topic, Target is not going to sell every iteration of a toy at every single store because it doesn't sell. They know say Superman toys sell really well in the South and Joker sells really well in the west and Batman sells well outside the coastal areas, and ship product accordingly, same as with crap like fruit and produce carried in their grocers or types of toothpaste and detergent outside basic brands.tl;dr what is todd's fault is the choices of toys to make and HOW they are made and how ALL THAT impacts sales at stores throughout the entire distribution channel
>>10958957They were just roommates, female roommates have always been friendlier/more physical than male roommates. But of course freaks like you see that, and immediately associate that behaviour with sex and degeneracy. You are absolutely someone who thinks male adult roomates are fags for one another. Because the idea of same sex friendships is alien to you.Headcanon is fine. If you like the idea. And you can say that headcanon is what lead to that cringe harley cartoon amd the comics making harley and ivy gay, but it was not a thing in TAS.
>>10958997They weren't outright fucking but it was heavily implied that they were more than just friends. Sure, girls can be more physical and what not with one another, but outright sharing a bed in their panties is hardly something I'd call a platonic friendship. Paul Dini has always said they were w thing. Why are you pretending like this isn't established?
>>10959000Because i dont buy into, "the writer said so", and i dont believe you can make canon retroactive. He wasnt able to make them gay despite wanting to, well, theyre not gay in TAS. Theyre gay now, in harleys show and the comics, fine. I choose to ignore it, but at least its in the works and cant be denied that theres evidence of it happening in some form in media.
>>10958701please make the cape reach all the way to the emblem like its supposed too, SM you have time to fix it, even the boxart shows it that way and im tired of figures screwing this detail up.
>>10958811He thought of a really funny joke
>>10959031It's always been established, just because it bugs you, doesn't make it headcanon. I'd rather listen to the actual creator of the character than some butthurt fag on the internet.
>>10958997unbelievable levels of cope here
>>10959050"Always been established" even though the only thing that establishes it in the show is someone, outside of the show, saying "this is the way it goes.." and it not existing in the media. So if somehow all info and history were erased, and a future generation found a copy of that episode, and there was no record of dini talking shit.. sure they might think "man, thatd be cool if they were lesbians." But to those people, its left ambiguous. Because nothing in that show establishes their relationship. Its headcanon. And it only bugs me because people like you say " its established" despite it never being established outside of the writer saying a thing. He couldve snuck a more direct clue. Maybe even have someone say something in the show that says theyre in a relationship of somekind. But no. He wasnt creative enough to get it into the show.
>>10959079If that's the mountain of cope you need to climb in order to feel better, I'm not going to stop you. But insisting your headcanon overrules the actual creator of the character and show is autistic as fuck. I'm not sure why lesbians bother you so much, especially hot lesbians.
>>10958968Yes, stop making store exclusives you fuck
>>10959079The comics following the cartoon back in the 90s also dropped hints about the two being lesbians. I personally hate the soft grift of making every chick nowadays lame and gay, but back then, when it wasn't the mainstream, Harley and Ivy were hinted at being gay. Other anon is right. Do some research, dude.
>>10959097Like this comic that implies an in-universe _rumor_ that not only are Harley and Ivy lesbians, so are Batgirl and Supergirl? Yeah, no, I have to agree with the other anon. They're not a thing in BTAS. The "Harley and Ivy" episode is at best a callback to "Thelma and Louise" which was co-opted by the alphabet people.
>>10959132They're hanging around their apartment that has a single bed in their underwear. This isn't platonic roommate behavior. Thelma and Louise weren't sharing a bed in their undies.
>>10959097Seems more like, they want the ambiguity to exist but dont want to commit to either direction. Which is fun, but this comic implies possibility, which i can meet you halfway on, but never established anything.>>10959085What is this "cope" you speak of?You anons act as if TAS 100% confirms theyre gay, and yet the 100% proof you have, is something said by someone, and nothing in the show. Its like when rebecca sugar would say that steven universe was written years ago and everything was planned and all characters had a purpose and would be explored in future episodes, and then goes on to say, things were improvised and written as the show went along.Writers saying "this is the way things are" means nothing if it isnt shown in the work.
>>10959138>They're hanging around their apartment... in their underwearI do that with my female roommate>single bedDo you know for a fact that they only had one bed or did they just show one bed? Honestly, I think sometimes people just see what they want to see.
>>10959152Hanging out with your mom in your underwear isn't normal behavior
>>10959138All im saying, and i think im being fair.Is that TAS implied that Ivy and Harley were lovers. But it was never really established in that universe, and left up for interpretation.Future projects use TAS as a springboard and make it definite theyre lovers.People need to stop acting like TAS established anything, and also. Fuck what a writer said, if its not in the work, it doesnt mean shit.
>>10959160Yeah, that's literally what I said in my original reply to whomever started this. They never outright fuck in the show but it's heavily implied. Do you guys struggle with reading or something? Fuck!
>>10959160nta If anything, the thing that did any establishing was I think an issue of Gotham City Sirens that explicitly said it was Poison Ivy that had feelings for Quinn.
>>10959155
>>10959138>single bedI just rewatched the episode. What bed? All of the indoor scenes take place in Ivy's kitchen combination dining room. They show a couch made out of grass or something but Ivy walks over there immediately after giving Harley her shot in the kitchen and doesn't pass through a door to get there.Plus it's Ivy's house located in a toxic dump. If she has one bed, it's because she was the only person that could live there. You think Wayfair would deliver a second bed to a lot on a toxic dump that might not even have an address?Never mind that Harley spends the entire episode pining for Mistah J.
>>10959187>Never mind that Harley spends the entire episode pining for Mistah J.Good point. If you were having feelings for a guy do you think you'd have sexy time with a girl so fast?
>>10958534Give me the Codpiece Batman Forever suits already. Stupid Baf and all, I must have them.
>>10959167Stop being a hysterical woman. Is this you?:>>10959000If so.. you end the comment saying its established because dini said they were a thing. If anyone is having any trouble with reading comprehension, its because you say that its both implied as well as established that they were a thing. If you are agreeing with me now, then you are agreeing to drop the "established" part, dropping the "dini said so" part and we're both meeting halfway, keeping it at, one can interpret their relationship as potentially being romantic but it is ambiguous in TAS.
>>10959167>They never outright fuck in the show but it's heavily implied. We have different definitions of heavily implied then.People _have_ to remember this was 1992. I know the show's a weird mix of 1942 and 1992 in-universe. Like Batman has a computer but Harley calls Joker on a rotary phone. But look, Ivy likely lives in a model/show house for a planned community that was cancelled when the ground was discovered to be toxic. In 1992, you couldn't just jump on Amazon and have furniture or bizarre shit delivered by some Mexican contractor in 48 hours. That's probably why her couch is made of grass. They didn't show a bed or even a bedroom but if they had it would still be easy to explain away. The real kicker is Harley pining for the Joker throughout the entire episode. There's no way the girls were boinking with that elephant in the room. Not wearing pants, at home, in an abandoned toxic neighborhood, at an undisclosed hour (Ivy makes them salad - is that breakfast, lunch, or dinner?) is an extremely thin basis upon which to declare they're totally obvious super lesbos.
>>10959088those aren't exclusives, retard
>>10959191Harley Quinn is so crazy!
You guys are so fucking autistic. The original point was that Ivy and Harley, outright fucking or not, have been paired together all,ost since Harley's creation. Were they always an outright lesbian couple? No. But the show established that whenever Harley wasn't having weird clown sex with Mistah J. she was having sleep overs with Ivy. This making their pairing, SEXUAL OR NOT, an established thing. Holy FUCK some of you are autistic. And no amount of "no U-ing" at me is going to convince me otherwise.
>>10959246So this whole time, all you were saying was... "harley and ivy are a criminal duo!" And you never ever tried to argue that they were gay for each other? And that dini's comment wasnt saying theyre a romantic "thing", he just wanted to make clear theyre a crime duo "thing"? If you are now, just trying to say, the ivy harley teamup began and was established in TAS, then fine, i agree. But that wasnt what you were doing in the beginning at all. Youre a liar. You clearly were trying to argue they were gay, and that episode established it and dini even came out and said they were a thing. Knock it off already.
>>10959251My original post said it was I plied but never outright stated that they were gay. At this point, you're arguing semantics and I can only imagine arguing just for the sake of it. Here's your last (You). Don't stay up too late worrying about this.
>>10959256Ok, so TAS never established them as gay, and fuck whatever dini said.Theyre only gay in modern media, where their gayness is on full display.Agreed.
>>10958806I don't really, just noting how bad it is.
this is how dead dc figs are that we gotta argue about if ivy and harley are carpet munchers or not. I JUST WANT SOME 6 INCH DC FIGS TODD!!
>>10959217Those sculpts are good but the painting is awful, specially Mr. Freeze. You are so close to perfection Todd, don't be a cheap fuck for once.
>>10959303The one on the right looks better although I generally like that shade of blue on the left better, period. It just does not look good on Freeze though.>>10959298I got an email from Bezolandia that my pre-order was delayed and I could refuse shipment when it finally arrived or cancel 'with no penalty.' >>10958985>Target is a huge business, but at par with Warner Brothers.>Neither is in business to not sell productYou might want to reconsider that statement given WB's recent history.
>>10959303Please understand, Todd has no money left for paint due to incredible sculpts, cost many dollars.
>>10959298A portion of the reason female figures sell is their alluring sex appeal, so you shouldn't be surprised
>>10959943Todd hasn't made a sexy female in a while.
>>10959861>WB's recent history"Recent" - just movies is better than anyone elses. WB Television Studios have also been producting, post strikes, more of TV product that gets higher licensing fees and rights payments (shit like the Bachelor, FBoyz Island, Extra, Masked Singer, and scripted crap like Abbott Elementary, Young Sheldon, Nightcourt, Monarch - Legacy of Monsters). WB made $30B+ in the last two full years - only 2020 itself was not as good in comparison to say Target. Target makes closer to $33B+ on the regular but most financial analysts would consider both companies 'on par' which is why I used that.

Again, Sascha Calle was a good design for people who like her look, which is plenty of people, I just hated her uniform (but I also hated the Mamoaman uniform, and the Barry uniforms and never liked Batkeaton and have never liked the Jaime Blue Beetle costume since that comic came out in - what, the 1990s?Tho todd should have done a Mera and an Atlanna (sp?) which was a missed shot.

>>10960093Todd will do that to you.
Why are the legs so long?
>>10960096I actually wouldn't mind - since McFarlane can use the designs for some of the Bombshell statutes, if they took some of those designs and did THAT version of Mera, and likewise a Lois, Kara and a few others. I chased down the Lois statue and thought about the head bust of Kara as - whatever she is, a flight attendant, navy captain? But I would actually prefer to get articulating figures of some of these versus more statues.
>>10960111Checked and bump, I want some of this too.
>>10960274Compared to what i had back in the day these things (so far) kick ass. not sure how the keaton one is but if its anything like pic related its good enough

Sometimes theft can be so prevalent that ghost stock can prevent the computer from reordering shit. When companies look at McFarlane's wares every year (at trade shows like Toy Fair), they can give input on what characters should be in every wave. They'll also tell McFarlane that they should include 4 Spidermans and 4 Bumblebees in every case, because they're so popular with the kids. 99% of the time, Target/Walmart buyers are self important no-fun businessmen who know nothing about the toylines they're ordering and a lot of the times, its young assistants who made "astounding discoveries"... because they play modern video games, read modern comics, and watch modern cartoons. This is also why local WAlmarts/Targets/etc have computers doing the reordering for them, because those self important businessmen know better than local yokels and think a computer should be in charge of everything.. eventually. These fucks are waiting for when robots are so good that they can have jobs and have purchasing power to buy consumer goods based on advertisement analytics. In short, retailers can, have, and do fuck over toylines because of what they tell toy companies to do. Movies bombing in theaters also fuck over toylines since the mid-10s, because they've been taking over the main toyline's place in pegs... because retailers don't want to support seperate year round toylines and movie toylines. Yes, retailers are the number one reason why toylines get fucked up.

>>10961282Perhaps its was destiny. either way im glad it was discounted because im honestly a little underwhelmed given how much hype this board gave the figure.
>>10961201Hey, the cel shading isn't so terrible.
>>10961323... H-how can you even type that?
>>10961309There's definitely issues in its ability to adopt some more naturalistic poses, and many McFarlanes tend to have this issue, often due to the lack of a thigh cut or boot cut. That limits its posing capabilities and makes for more stiff, unnatural poses when one goes too far beyond standard A poses.I think what brainwashed DC collectors in general, not just this place, into thinking it was great was more on the sculpt end and the fact that McFarlane kept using the flawed 3 Jokers buck. That buck was built like a brick wall of a man. By releasing this more realistic proportioned sculpt after so much reuse of that he got people to overhype it. And scalpers followed suit and bought many of them, driving up the secondary market price and the rarity.

>>10958873>tranny shouldersAlso tranny waist, hips and jawline, they made her a man.
Spin Master is doing their retail showrooms right now, and they had the Superman movie toys behind closed doors.I couldn't take pictures obviously, but I'll describe what I saw from memory. No story points for the movie were given, so can't really talk about that.First, they had three cardboard cutouts for the following characters so you could get a good look at their designs.- Superman's design looked very New52 (almost exactly like it, except for the movie crest that's surprisingly large on his chest). No red underwear, had a collar with some red accent like New52, and looked very armory (panel separations). - Lex Luthor was in a golden power armor with a helmet on (fully covers the face, so no look at Nicholas Hoult). Surprised it wasn't purple/green, but it has a large "LL" crest on the upper-left chest area.- Hawkgirl was in a white body uniform with some black accents, and then from her shoulders up was the traditional yellow/gold coloring. For her body suit, imagine the white track suit she wore in the Justice League cartoon, except for her whole body (full sleeves, and no midriff). (splitting up post due to length, will go into the actual toys next)
>>10961329I agree, but i think theres even more going on than just that. i think people are now focusing too much on the sculpts / acticulation points that they overlook the fact that figures with diapers feel like shit to pose and that many of thes 896675 poa are barely functional. plus of lot of the time you cant even tell they're there / what their limits are by just looking at them. And the materials they use for the torso / bodies somehow feel squishy and brittle in the same shot. these new figures look like what you wanted - a "figure" that looks nice. everything else is a afterthought. Im not saying the figure is bad its definitely a step up from some of mattels latter figures (cough especially when they're 19.99 COUUGH) but its definetly not the second coming of jesus. My last personal gripe that might cruicfie me is i think these figures are too big and unwieldy but that ones purely my opinion>>10961500Its a great robin, mattel really set the bar high with they're early 6unch figures. the batman that came with him (seen on the right here) is probably to this day my favorite batman ever since he has wayy more detailed paintwork more articulation and a huueg fuckking cape. (toysrus exlucsive batman and robin btw) I think kenners 6 inch robin did it better at least for the body prpotions and head scupt. look up legends of the dark knight dive claw robin and feel true oldfag suffering
>>10961884Now for the toys. The lines are all built around the 3" figures.Characters were Superman, Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Hawkman (looked similar to Hawkgirl in terms of design), Metamorpho (literally looked like comic book Metamorpho with Anthony Carrigan's head), Guy Gardner (actually took me a while to realize who it was since there was no green. He was in a black jacket and black/white inner suit. Maybe the black/white suit motif is what the JLA is going for, or maybe they're going with the storyline where Guy got booted from the Lanterns? Just speculation), and Krypto (white dog and red cap, very comic book accurate). There was a Fortress of Solitude playset where pulling on a panel will unfurl the playset, and it comes with 3" Superman, Krypto, and a giant abominable snowman monster thing figure. No idea who the monster is, and the marketing person didn't explain the story element. Literally looked like a Wampa.A large feature figure was a 12" Superman that can do a super hero landing. You pick him up, and he extends his arms to fly, then drop him on a table, and does the super hero landing pose. Pretty cool item for kids. Then there was a Krypto sensor drone that flies when you put your palm underneath, but the cool thing was when it's not flying, it stands regularly, and when it takes off, its tail begins to wag and its paws/hind legs go straight. They also had some basic roleplay items there like a Superman chest piece. No other items on display, but makes sense since these items will be released in Spring '25, so probably waiting for more items to show in Fall '25 when sales are better. That's all! Ask me any questions (they had some kids Batman and Teen Titans Go items there, too).

>>10961051That's why most, if not all of them, will be Gold Labels. Batmobiles for 6/7 inch are unrealistic for the general market unless they're adjacent to a current blockbuster. We're lucky McFarlane is bothering to make them for the collector market through its website. Let's just hope they aren't too overpriced.
>>10961888>mattel really set the bar high with they're early 6unch figuresLMAO no.The bar was already set higher by literally nearly every collector popular toyline back then and the DCUC one of the most hated lines on /toy/ since /toy/ began. No one wanted that shit and was actively shat on by everyone but children, hence the early death of DCUC and every single fumble of a line by Mattel since then.It was always overpriced shit that everyone knew was made as cheaply as possible.
>>10961979Subby, that was from like 2010. It's been almost 15 years, Mattel, even at the end of when they had the DC license, was miles better than this. You need to let this decade and half long grudge go.

>>10961990>>10962003Stop trying to retcon the past, fags. no one liked Mattel's shit except for a tiny minority of other fags, who obliviously never knew other lines existed, because why else they would put up with their shit?Shit was selling so poorly that Mattel was undoubtedly paying penalty fees for not meeting minimum sales, because every single one of their toylines was a failure. No doubt, Mattel saw the DC license as an investment that they could one day turn around and make up for every bomb, but how could that ever happen when they released pure shit? Even strong movies like Aquaman and Nolan's Batman, couldn't help turn shit around. WB finally had to strip the license away from them, because they obviously weren't going to let go after poisoning the DC brand for over a decade.

>>10961888>that many of thes 896675 poa are barely functional. This is a good point, a lot of the time they feel like they're just trying to hit a certain number without considering functionality, especially with the pseudo-butterfly joints that in some figures work well and in others make no difference at all, so the washers are basically a waste. ML is a bit better about making sure the joints are functional although they screw that up sometimes too and have their own set of issues.>i think these figures are too big and unwieldy but that ones purely my opinionThat is the largest issue with McFarlanes perhaps, because it leads to so many others like their inability to pose well without the hockey puck stands outside of neutral poses (some more so and others less so). Also many types of flight stands won't even hold the larger, heavier figures without risk of toppling so some are limited in dynamic airborne poses as well.
>>10962269The bad thing is if they reuse the face sculpt too.

>>10962430The lowest InArt was allowed to sell their 1/6 figure for was $1000.
>>10962350Why even do this?
>>10962444I doubt it's a likeness issue, since every movie since the 90s has had actors sign away their likeness because movie companies realized that shit was worth money. Very standard clause if you want to act in a modern movie.Anyway, real reason Phoenix Joker got shit was because the news media was trying to get someone to shoot up a movie theater again and WB was doing a shitload of damage control because of that. Were you even alive 5 years ago? News stations were trying their best to make everyone paranoid and was impossible to miss.
>>10962480ok but it didnt happen and we've had like 3 years to get a figurei blame the joker figure curse. notice how heath and nickolson never get figs either? joker curse

>>10963122but isn't that what that batman figure is using? Also, i like what HAsbro is doing with their shitty clothes. It almost feels like cardboard and the texture is oversized when viewed 10x blown up on camera, but from normal toy-viewing distance, it loooks so damn nice. The print on it gives it a real life texture. If they fixed the cardboard feel, so it drapes better, it'd be the best.>>10963132They're amazing in person.
>>10963168>but isn't that what that batman figure is using? No that cape is more like taffeta
