Why are most aliens humanoid-shaped?

I mean, come on and think about it. No other design seems better to manipulate the environment around it than humanoid. Command center (brain) encased in a bone shell. Sensory input kept as close to the brain as possible. Manipulators (Arms and hands) near the sensory input to be able to bring objects closer to inspect them closely. Life support (heart, lungs, etc) in the center encased in a protective bone cage. Transportation (feet) at the bottom. It's a perfect design.

Human-like intelligence probably isn't going to develop bodily forms that are that radically different from humans.
