Been looking into Post Shift 2 latelyI am absolutely fascinated by this game. Quite high production value, very technically impressive (yes this is still clickteam), has some real time and obvious effort put into it in terms of cleaning it up and making it look like a real, cohesive video game. It doesn't feel like something put together by an amateur - until you play it, or watch someone play it, or think about how it plays for any length of timeThere is so much SHIT in this game that has no reason to exist. That has such obtuse or obscure justification that you'd think they were all central ideas of a different game, or else, made through a game of madlibs. This is one of the single most user unfriendly pieces of software I've ever seen. There are HUD elements that literally serve no purpose. There are characters with three seperate sets of mechanics that each are completely different, depending on the location they spawn. Bonnie in Night 4 has a "low pitch" button, despite the fact he never plays low pitch, ever, so it's literally never correct to push this button. There is shit like this EVERYWHERE in Post Shift. And at the end of it all, even if you understand and play the game perfectly, you will still have a high chance of losing because every movement in this game takes five seconds at least, and two animatronics can attack on opposite ends of the building and you just die because you can't reach both.And don't even get me started on the lore or aesthetic or naming conventions. This feels like you took a fnaf game, put it in its own dome to develop an ecosystem, and then left that dome for a hundred years before unleashing it upon the unsuspecting public.
