Eldar "nerfed" is still above 50% win rate, something other armies can only dream about. Eldar get model support what ever they get a range refresh or not. Something other faction characters just don't have anymore. For marines 2ed marine models are no longer playable, either because GW removed them from the game, the bases and model size changes and GW voided tanks, transports etc from that time. Meanwhile an eldar player could have an army of real or recast 2ed eldar models, never paid a cent since 2ed and have a perfectly working army. Meanwhile a marine player has to buy 2 full 2000pts armies or have an army that does not work. And that is assuming his army didn't get removed.
