Combat damage that isn't commander damage barely matters at the best of times, yet they'll routinely blow their removal on any halfway decent body that hits the board, but leave draw engines sitting all game, unless it's a well-known staple that popular consensus told them needs to go, like Rhystic or Necropotence. Everything else just sits around and accrues value until the player snowballs into a win, at which point everyone will act all surprised at how the combo deck could've possibly run away with the game like that when they focused down the aggro deck that would've kept it in check had it been allowed to build any board at all.

Managed to get a couple games in, first game was against nuMassacre Girl and Strefan and the deck performed pretty well, I believe I would have won but we cut the game before a winner was decided so a friend who showed up late could join in. Second game was nuMassacre Girl, Strefan, and OG Anowan, the Strefan player refused to take out nuMassacre Girl's Liliana of a Dark Realm before it could ult, so massacre girl player ran away with the game pretty quick, but I felt like I had something that I could do with my hand & board state even if i wasn't in a winning position which was niceHere's the decklist, it's not optimized because the playgroup is relatively new and I don't want to become public enemy #1 on accident or bore them out of the game with solitaire turns. If your group naturally packs it then you're pretty much stuck having to play an uphill battle in ways other decks wouldn't. It's free game if you build around a theme and your commander supports it rather than building around your commander, like I have a discard deck with Neheb, the Worthy as commander and I rely on madness and hellbent mostly. Lots of people here have said that I would be better off with Kroxa, but it doesn't allow me to discard, and besides, Neheb flies under the radar easily, because it has tribal flavor. Aside from commander itself, I only run Felhide Petrifier and Mutavault if you count that.I don't really have any problems with card power levels and such, in my own deckbuilding and in other's also, as long as the consensus has been reached that everyone agrees to similar power level. That being said, most of the decks I have built recently have been turbo casual, more experimental garbage instead of anything actually functional, but it's all good because my friend group also started to build silly shit instead of good stuff.
