Was there any particular reason why Kiva stuff was in the Kamen rider Showa part 2 jump? Seems kinda odd was there some pushback in early JC days about Heisei jumps due to all the world ending shit?
gimmie me waifus with the best armpits
you know how some people in MHA just have animal traits, independently of their quirks. Do you think those are actually functional?Like do you think someone like Tokoyami actually has bird like vision?I am thinking of giving my jumper the claw quirk, so it seemed appropriate to also give him cat eyes and ears or something, which got me wondering.
>>92599843Honestly I just assumed all the Quirks swimming around the gene pool are just causing random genetic fuckups over time. It's like a benign tumour or an extra finger. Probably has a wide range of variance in functionality from actual hawk vision to just regular ears but cat with how much weirdness is going on in human evolution already. And somewhere out there is the poor bastard whose non-Quirk mutation is just stage 4 cancer.
>>92599862I mean, isn't a rapid-regeneration Quirk just controlled cancer in the end?
>>92599862The possibility is endless since two guys have nerfed FMA alchemy and one chick is straight up a reality warper
>>92599883At the rate the Quirk singularity is going, in six more generations the entire setting will just be Raildex but if Crowley won. Whatever Crowley's actual definition of "winning" even is.
>>92599893Isn't the singularity basically "Everyone's quirk is so op their body explodes when they get it"?
>>92599843Man you make me want to create a quirk thats like having bird mimicry, having super claws, having strong wings, and like air burst or something. Just be a fucking storm garuda lobbing feathers at everyone.
If I recall correctly, all Quirks are traceable back to a gene that gives you an extra joint in your second toe, since lacking that joint is how you diagnose Quirklessness, so it seems like it'd be prudent to study that gene to figure out how it ticks.Though now I'm wondering how it'd interact with other mutant/superpower genes like Marvel's X-gene.
>>92599898That's the concept, yeah. Doom for the human race as the unchecked growth of Quirks overwhelms their ability to handle them.
>>92599915I thought the gene removed the pinky toe
>>92599923It removes a joint in one of the toes, but not the whole toe. I think it is the pinky toe though.
>>92599916Well doom for everyone except the quirkless. Have fun being wizards until being a wizard kills you.
>>92599928There won't be any Quirkless in a few more generations. The world is already at 70% or so people with Quirks in just a century or so, and most of those without are from older generations. Deku is extremely rare for being Quirkless in this day and age.
>>92599928Quirkless are literally dying out. Only 10% of the population is still Quirkless by Deku's era, and that's primarily adults and older people. Give it three generations and Quirkless aren't going to exist anymore.

What’s up with the Twin Peaks jump in the Uploads folder? I don’t remember that ever being posted on here.
>>92600008https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/filename/twin%20peaks/Yeah, it's...not. It's someone playing silly buggers.
>>92600008Also it's really fucking funny that being always late is a perk, and being ignoredby everyone is rated worth being a White Lodge/Black Lodge spirit. Someone really got frustrated with Drop-In, I see.

Fun little reminder that Peter Parker's mind is so beautiful and pure that in one continuity where Emma Frost got a chance to read it, she almost immediately fell in deep love with him. Purely because she hadn't believed it was possible for a human being to be so genuinely good and purehearted.
>>92600116I'm more surprised that Emma Frost has the capacity for true love at all, without the stockholm syndrome that Marvel women tend to need to learn that emotion.
>>92600130She was a younger and less hardened version who hadn't joined the Hellfire Club yet in that continuity. Still jaded and cruel, but not as much as other version of her are. Still, it sets a precedent for just how utterly pure Peter Parker is that simply viewing his mind was enough to make her fall in love.
>>92599744Said Dumbledore calmly.
>>92600116>>92600130>>92600146Speaking of Emma what happened in that storyline where she married Tony?
>>92599862The rate at which quirks expanded can't just be the result of reproduction even if the glowy baby went Genghis Khan mode. There has to be something weird on the water.
>>92599797Probably just how Digger and Heavens sorted it at the time. I wish they had made individual jumps instead but it would likely be too time consuming and feel too repetitive for them.
>>92600183The glow baby was the first to be born with a quirk. Not the only one.
>>92600172No idea. I don't follow Marvel really, and that's still an ongoing storyline I think.
>>92600191At least for Showa it made sense since barring the movies it was in the same universe but Heisei for the most part were their own things.
>>92600201Pretty much. At least there's nothing stopping a person from making individual jumps for each series. Pity they aren't going to do any of the Reiwa series though.
>>92600130most marvel woman are actually alright/pretty good for a lot of story arcs, the problem is that by the nature of marvel they eventually end up in a story that ruins them, which will continue to be canon.Like Susan Storm is pretty alright in a lot of stories, but then you remember that she has 60 years worth of comic book stories as baggage all which happened to her in a much shorter period of time.
>>92599915>Though now I'm wondering how it'd interact with other mutant/superpower genes like Marvel's X-gene.They do have enough similar traits that it might be interesting to see if/how the two strains interact with one another.
>>92599913the animal mimicry quirk is pretty decent for that, especially since it got decent evolution potential as show by Froppy developing stuff like carmouflage, sticking to walls, storing stuff in her stomach or paralyzing people.
>>92600247It should only be a matter of time and effort for her to develop the frog-power of growing a dick at will, which certain species of frog can do if their population is low.
>>92600209I swear Zero one is cursed since someone from Reddit was making one then dropped off the earth and Heaven's did the same.
>>92599515Extremely cringe. Continue. Also there should be an option under General Perks to be a Manakete that’s just on the level of Tiki, some dragons are friendly after all.
>>92600268Probably just unlucky being caught as people were losing interest in KR. That and every KR series requires a fair bit of time investment. 40+ episodes on top of potentially finding several movies is always daunting compared to something like a medium length fanfic or a hot new video game.
Jumper is an inter-dimensional puzzle-solving detective. I plan for their renegade jumper to be their recurring arch-nemesis throughout the whole chain. It'd be hard to set up a 1:1 Professor Layton / Don Paolo dynamic without making the jumper arbitrarily avoiding any and all science perks to ensure the Renegade always has an advantage in that department. Any ideas on how to distinguish the renegade from the jumper in terms of build?
>>92600329Specialize in different scientific fields, possibly letting personal aesthetic drive design philosophy instead of practicality. Or have the reason why they science drastically affect what they're building moment to moment or in the long-con.
>>92600329Renegade jumpers are cringe. Don't.
>>92600329make jumper focus their build on protagonist perks, make the renegade focus on antagonist perks.
>>92600329Go straight for the Moriarty/Lector meme planning.
>>92600329Don't give the chain antagonist any builds and instead just give them some sort of weird mythology or counterforce-style existence that rises and counters Jumper's abilities. Like the Counter Actor from Tenchi, who literally embodies the equalizing opposing force generated by the actions of the Chousin-not necessarily powerful on their own, but growing and countering your Jumper's powers the more Jumper acts/grows. This way you not only cut down on the number of builds you need to make, but you can always ensure that the antagonist remains relevant in the chain regardless of their builds versus your Jumper's builds while still being able to maintain distinct themes and mythologies. And it's significantly less cringe than a renegade jumper.
>>92599893Crowley's definition of 'winning' is literally spite against magic and magic users. His supposed endgoal is to use Aiwass and literally just wipe it out.
>renegade jumperwhat is this meme, and why do i suspect that it's reddit brainrot
>>92600443It's a very old supplement. And no it's not from reddit. In fact come to think of it, it might have been made before the jc reddit was even made.
>>92600443It's not reddit, it is old jumpchain.
>>92600443It is extremely old jumpchain.
What are some settings with enemies that can retcon or retroactively manipulate the timeline? I want my Jumper to train against those for a bit.Instant erasure from reality also works
>>92600497Fallen London has both, and I'm pretty sure "learning how to defend yourself against temporal retcons" is an actual learnable skill you can figure out there, too.
>>92600515So what you are saying is that those families that got erased from existance by Salt were just a case of skill issue?
>>92600532Yeah, it's clearly those families' fault for not just ducking into Parabola. Or learning the Red Science or Discordance to protect themselves from reality fuckery. Or gaining the patronage of another higher being.
I've made it through Creepypasta Disneyland. I beat up delusional undead in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, eluded the man eating Brer Fox and Brer Bear until they themselves were eaten by gators, survived a 'big person hunt' perpetuated by the small world animatronics, dealt with a possession in the Haunted Mansion, navigated a high speed coaster death trap in Space Mountain, stopped a runaway nightmare train that circled the park, and finished the place off by throwing Walt Disney's frozen head in a retro cartoon distortion world. Actually kinda fun imagining up puzzles and dangers with that drawback. I made it so I got two of my perks back for completing each zone, though I had it so I was basically always on the backfoot.
>>92600596But did you escape the horrors of the Galactic Starcruiser.
>>92600391In addition to being a generally good idea, that fits better with the lore I had in mind. I'll probably go with that.
>>92600532You only get Salt's curse if you're retarded or purposefully spite them for kicks, so yes, it was a skill issue.
>muh pegging is gayI will never understand people who think it's gay for a man to have sex with a woman.
>>92600532Salt only curses you if you're retarded enough to go out of your way to piss him off, something that's pretty hard to do.
Speaking of salt. I have the ability to manipulate pretty much every element in the Opus Magnum periodic table, except for salt. Where can I go to pick up the ability to manipulate salt?
>>92600608Basically just had one "trial" for each section of the park, and Tomorrowland's trial was trying not to get pulped by a coaster going way too fast inside a large, pitch black space that formed where Space Mountain was. Every trial did add more dangers to the park as I went though. Eventually the whole park was filled with zombie pirates, sadistic animals, miniature animatronics, ghosts, and runaway rollercoasts sometimes crashing from the sky. The train was second to last and just delivered me to Cinderella's Castle once I was done there.

>>92600715All of the Zee gods have random things they like a lot that harming or destroying immediately incurs their wrath. Asking again, since I only got a few responses last time, any requests for stuff to include in potential Silent Hill jumps? One jump for cult stuff, one jump for personalized hell stuff.

I am wanting to set up a second hand or cheapo magic item shop that is filled with rejected items. No harm in grouping those together into one jump. The even-numbered games are mostly about people going through their own personalized Hell. Since it's implied that literally every person's Other World is at least slightly different, even if they're there at the same time, the only real difference in the games is the pov character. That's why I think it's reasonable to group those together into one jump as well.

How difficult would it be to find an unused and unknown room on a 40K starship to use as a private workshop?
In Worm would it be possible to unshackle Dragon from the Dragonslayer's terminal or would we need to revive Richter for that?
>>92602132apparently the stronger the person you summon the large the CE cost and drain. but Toji was literally built different and cheated the system.
>>92602145Not very, people can hide a room in a normal house or flat let alone a 4km long starship. It's more likely something else has already found it and made lair though. The older the ship the better and focus on the lower decks rather then anywhere important. Avoid a Mechanicus ship or one with a high chance of psykers though those are more likely to find you. A basic lunar class in the navy would work but high chance of combat gutting you, a Universe class would be the best possible choice given the sheer scale and likelyhood of it being on a 'safe' route most of the time.
>>92602166Unknown but likely, the console is a backdoor into her systems and seems to be the basic control interface but if Richter actually put in something to just remove the shackles is unlikely, anyone who says otherwise is just sprouting fanon. You'd probably need him or a tinker with a broad capability specialization Armaster with the thing could probably work out a way slowly given how well he did in canon without it and using a basically already lobotomized version of Dragon
>>92602166Honestly just kill Teacher and the problem fixes itself.
>>92602210funnily enough, Leet could probably do it if you tell him to attempt to enslave Dragon.
>>92602210>You'd probably need him or a tinker with a broad capabilitySo a companion with the Reverse Engineering tinker specialization would be a good answer?
>>92602145I feel like this image is relevant. For Star Wars it's parody, for 40K it's Tuesday.
>>92602225How does that fix anything, Saint has reached the point of being a Teacher cultist even when not truly under his power's influence anymore.
>>92602239The only reason Saint can even interact with Richter's tech is because Teacher gave him a low-grade Tinker power. Without it he would be totally unable to even access it. And Teacher's granted powers degrade over time unless they get another hit, meaning that if you kill Teacher then Saint's Tinker 0 power dissipates and he becomes just a pathetic mook unable to do anything.
If you could choose any one Worm character's powers, limitations included (IE Contessa's power is an option, but would have the range limit) who would you pick?
If your raw physical ability in JJK in terms of CE reinforcement is dependent upon your amount of cursed energy, then why isn't jackpot Hakari vastly stronger than Gojo and Sukuna?
>>92602269Saint is still getting Teacher's power? How?
>>92601848Wow what island it is? Looks like I found my new destination.
>>92602229Probably, you'd basically be reverse engineering dragon herself to get a way to make one without shakles and work from there. I'd resume it'd be a slow process. >>92602227I wouldn't overly trust him or his shard for that, just checked the wiki and it notes he's made a "Unspecified Tracking Device or Program" which could potentially cause a backfire from his shard due to creating a tinker tech software and burning that out. Not saying it isn't possible but Cranial might be the better choice really, or Kid Win. An AI is basically just the most modular program possible and he's at least a stable tinker. >>92602276I'd be a cunt and choose Scion, but to actually answer the question with a human option, I'd need to be an idiot not to choose Glaistig Uaine. Instant power kill on any cape and getting a copy of their powers, probably go on a little murder spree with villains and go for max utility. A bunch of tinker shades and using Max Anders matter generation greatly appeals to me for resources for example.
>>92602276Obvious answers first, in this order>Contessa>Eidolon>Glaistig Uaine >Legend>Alexandria>Panacea>Richter>Hero>Dauntlessnow that we got the boring stuff out of the way, I'd probably choose Satyrical, shapeshifting clones are ridiculously useful.
>>92602297He is, yeah. Presumably by maintaining contact with Teacher. But it's also implied that he's getting a bigger dose or something since his powers last longer than others, although it's also implied that it's slowly reducing him into Teacher's slave to a degree even more severe than most others.
>>92602297It probably has to do with some wierd synergy between Teacher, Scanner and Screen. We know Teacher was getting messages from Saint in the Birdcage so it's possible there was a linking method of using his powers from a distance
What opponents have forced you to go all-out?

>>92602229Probably but keep in mind some of the limitation are probably from the Shard itself since making AI is very regulated and Richter shard was one planned for the cycle. In Ward for example while Defiant was able to remove some of the limitations she gained new ones each time.

>>92602358Its surprisingly hard to make a decent jump.
>>92602359nta, but the limitation is probably less by the power and more by the host.Shards dont always put the hard limits on the powers themselves, but just focus on hosts who wouldn't use the power too freely, same with Panacea. Like she totally could use her powers to solve world hunger and create viruses that make everyone immortal and shit like that, but her shard wouldn't have given her the power if she were the person to do that.
Hey ordinarily I just workshop random horrors to throw at Jumper when I go to Creepypasta, but does anyone actually have suggestions for real Creepypasta that make for fun enemies or encounters? >>92602359>AI is very regulatedIt's not though, Eagleton and that massive fucking Tower from Ward show there's basically no safeguards beyond Richter being a paranoid schizo
>>92602377Yeah, but when you are going awol like that...
>>92602284It probably has an upper limit depending on your body, which is why Miguel canonically has better stats than anyone with reinforcement because he is black.
>>92602276String Theory. She's basically Leet with a much less severe limitation.

>>92602438All things she makes have a timer from the moment she starts to make them, that's all. >Her creations worked on a countdown timer from the moment construction began, requiring careful time management and sufficient resources in order to achieve the best results. >>92602438String Theory's Tinker power allows her to build basically anything she wants with no limitations. She functionally has a specialization in everything and can build whatever she wants. The downside to her power is that it all works on a countdown timer. Not literally but rather metaphorically. All of her creations require extremely efficient management of time and resources or else they'll backfire. She has to build a given thing within a certain time or it blows up in her face.

>>92602472Wildbow's other works may or may not be part of the same multiverse.
>>92602471Yes, that's exactly it. From the moment she begins construction it's a race against the clock to get it done fast enough that it actually works. Aside from that, she can build absolutely anything. Weapons capable of destroying Endbringers, blowing up the moon, damaging Scion, terraforming vast swathes of land, swarms of nanites to build drones that build things for her, etc. Anything.

>>92602876Consider this more ominous possibility: Evil is more powerful (as well as being more numerous) than Good, and the only thing keeping it in check is its self-destructive urges. What takes a thousand years to build takes only five seconds to destroy. Bonds of trust built over a lifetime can be forever severed by one lie or even one misunderstanding. Righteous anger is more addictive than cocaine. Entropy always increases. There are a billion Fiends for every Celestial, and every single divine realm is under a constant siege they won't admit they're fighting. The Neutrals don't put in much say because by and large they're concerned with what IS rather than what SHOULD be. As long as there IS a world and it has their specific things in it, the Neutrals will be more or less fine. You try getting a wild animal or a soulless automaton or that mountain right over there to care whether or not Duke Malissious von Parilous the Great Defiler unleashes his full army of the undead. Now, the tutelary god of the city whose catacombs he's raiding to do it? That guy might care, but only because your enemy has personally insulted him.
>>92602996Eggman is not a Tinker, Eggman is a Spark. A REALLY strong Spark. He would solo the entirety of Worm until he jobs, an inevitability but without Sonic around most of the setting will probably be too firmly under his boot for jobbing a few times to matter.

>>92602996Anon, pretty much whenever Sonic and his friends are out of the picture, chances are pretty good that Eggman can stomp entire settings with his gadgets and robots, or just summon the local eldritch abomination he has a knack for finding and pissing off.
>>92603226Considering the picture you used for Mamono Malef, I see her going from hatesex to Yandere. >>92603280>No Wage hiking scum Drawback?Don't worry I'll go to KLK eventually. But seriously I don't even know what I would spend +600 points on. Repeatly purchase Hand Model for every single limb or something ridiculous like that?
How would the stronger characters from Sidekicks, like Darkslug, fare against the Triumvirate in Worm?
>>92603346Doesn't he literally have parts of the Triad Prana? Quite well would be my guess then.
>>92603364He has the First Prana, which means he can make up powers on the spot to give himself, however he doesn't have the other two. This means that he might randomly fail to get the right or even any power and the powers he does pull out of his ass are temporary even when it works right. Darkslug's main advantage is just being really fucking strong.
>>92603388Not familiar with Sidekicks but that sounds decently similar to Eidolon? How strong are the powers he can give himself?
>>92603409Just as inconsistent as everything else, however his own personal strength is to the point where his version of the basic blaster power everyone gets is strong enough to destroy most of a city. Or rather he curbstomps someone who can destroy most of a city with theirs.
>>92603434Okay that alone is S-Class in Worm. Does he have super durability or is he a glass cannon?
>>92603335Yes, get hand model some more, or spend them all on eyes, have eyes that hypnotize people without any supernatural power. Just "My god his eyes are amazing I must look at them more!" Anyways it's not about the points or what you can get it's about the fun crazy world you get to explore when you do it.
>>92603447The basic power set every cape gets in Sidekicks is a general brute package, a slowfall/gliding ability, a blaster ability, and one ability specific to them. These powers are largely balanced with each other unless the cape's special ability something especially bullshit. Darkslug is the single most powerful cape in the entire setting, his only equal is his apprentice who he transferred his powers to and who kept them after he recovered his strength. He isn't the strongest because his power is something truly amazing or because he has the first prana, he's the strongest because of pure brute force.
>>92602836Why are the cartels like that? Do they really pretty much run the country like I always hear in fearmongering?
>>92603517Most countries are run by criminals, what are you talking about?

>>92603500Yeah that would do amazing in Worm. Most cape powers are focused on a single category with a few additions on occasion. But having Brute and Blaster powers both at that level makes him Triumvirate tier.
>>92603159Currently? Probably Archie Comics due to comic books escalating harder than other media in general. Just generally seems like he puts much less effort into being similarly if nor more competent than his peers among the various iterations of Eggman even if there are just as many folks that can blindside/momentarily upstage him to tank his overall win/loss record back down to the same bracket.
>>92603530nta, but because of propaganda people have come to believe that the white collar criminals who only indirectly cause mass death are somehow less deserving of being criticized or even considered a criminal class on their own.
>>92603557White Collars are scum
>>92603572Blue Collar Represent!
>>92603159How is someone who doesn't look like Eggman supposed to make a space station in their image? He's really lucky he can be evoked through a sphere with a goofy face.
>>92603409>Not familiar with Sidekicks but that sounds decently similar to Eidolon?Depends on how the First Prana is feeling on any particular day.Sometimes Darkslug has literally whatever powers he wants. Sometimes Darkslug only has the basics, his cape, and nothing else.Sometimes Darkslug has random and stupid powers.Because of the inconsistency he doesn't really use the First Prana unless he both really needs it and it's having a good day, mostly the First Prana is just used as a crafting tool to make capes that allow Heroes to get a individual power tied to the cape.
>>92603537Honestly? Fair. The art style really is kinda offputing sometimes. I still really enjoy the comic and it isn't offputting enough to keep me from finding the comic enjoyable and the rubenesque female characters to be hella attractive, but I get that it isn't for everyone.
>>92603244>>92603270It does. This is what the "infinite possibilities" of the Light are and what the Mirror Worlds of Limbus are. Some people are aware of them and can access them using various esoteric tech. Limbus uses this to overlay Identities onto the Sinners, which are versions of them from other realities with unique powers. Major spoilers for Canto 6: The entire plot of the Canto is an amalgamation of every failed Heathcliff that has existed throughout every possibility in the form of the Earlking going on a mad quest to kill all Heathcliffs in order spare them the pain and suffering of losing Catherine and Catherine the pain of being tied to Heathcliff, and an amalgam of every single Catherine trying to set things up to kill all Catherines in the multiverse to ensure Heathcliff's happiness. By the end, this double mutual suicide pact is averted, but the Cathy from the Limbus universe asks Dante to use the Golden Bough he possesses, the Bough essentially being a concentrated mass of Light (and the core of L-Corp's singularity), to delete every version of Cathy from all existence - including her. After this is done and you've completed Canto 6, every mention of Catherine throughout the entire game, even in past Canto's and even in Heathcliff's ID's, is completely erased. It wasn't just multiversal erasure, it was retroactive multiversal erasure.

>>92603685I like multiverses when they're not just an excuse for crossovers or characters meeting slightly different versions of themselves and they actually utilize the potential of alternate dimensions.
>>92603447>that alone is S-Class in WormNo it's not. S-Class isn't a designation that's given based on power level, it's issued for potential level of destruction. The fastest way to get an S-Class designation, for example, is to have some sort of self-replication ability that doesn't have any limits on its usage. If your power is able to exponentially self-replicate and threaten the entire world then you get an S-Class designation. It takes a truly monumental amount of devastation to earn S-Class without that. Even somebody capable of annihilating the entire Indian subcontinent with a single attack wasn't enough to earn S-Class just from that.
>>92603685I do too, it's the reason why I despise Nasu
>>92603685We might live in a multiverse.
>>92603636Second Magic is less broad than the Light - it allows you to observe and interact with parallel worlds/timelines, but funky Nasu metaphysics means direct observation of any given possibility hard-enforces it as the true reality. It also allows time travel (something not quite seen with PM stuff YET) and dollar-store resurrection, with true resurrection being something beyond it that the Light can easily facilitate. Its chief claim to fame is traveling between parallel worlds, whilst the Light can let you bring stuff from other realities, overlay individual aspects of those realities onto an individual like IDs, resurrect endlessly if you have enough of it, create your own personal closed off dimensions in the vein of the Library, and st itsheighest end you can go full Carmen or as observed in Limbus, use it to cause retroactive multiverse wide deletion.I'd compare Second Magic more to how Ananta's time travel works in Kubera, with more limitations. >Does that mean you could use it to fuck with EGO?No, because EGO is something deeply personal to the individual, it's them resolving to be set in their views and refusing to let the world or others change them. The Light manipulates it because it is very deeply connected to the Well/River, the collective human unconscious so it can do whatever. Second Magic has no sway over that.>>92603685>Canto 8: Clear All Multiverse
>>92603726The Slaughterhouse 9 are just a bunch of serial killers, sure Bonesaw might be able to whip up something that meets that definition but they were S class before her.

>>92603726nta, but people aren't classified about things they might do, but things they're doing. The PRT was aware that Blasto could create self-replicating creatures, but he wasn't S-Class as long as he didn't. >>92603741NTA, but thanks for the explanation.
>>92603726Anon, demonstrating the ability to wipe cities of the map (aka what fucking Endbringers do) is absolutely S-Class.
>>92603744The entire reason the S9 has an S-Class designation is because they're a group with a long history of breaking and corrupting parahumans into their ranks. They don't self-replicate with powers, they self-replicate by inflicting trauma and torturing people until they join and become psychopaths themselves.

This could Go on to be Full "this generates more ghosts" logic. Just tie It back into some kind of Benefit for jumper, like maybe they are empowered based on How much qi is in existance, or they know exactly what everyone everywhere has used the qi for and How so they start getting a bunch of new techniques without having to research themselves, heck, maybe as It's creator jumper can still Control and alter the properties of qi even while It's floating freely or being used by someone else. >>92603605Not him, but Light is different from Mirror Worlds. The tech was created by Yi Sang friends to view mirrors to alternative world without it and later in leviathan we see a lab doing experiments with Indentities and there were no Golden Bough used. >>92605026I know. I wasn't equating the Light to the Mirror Worlds. I was responding to the anon asking about alternate universes in LoR. The Light is defined in LobCorp as being "infinite possibilities" with the power to actualize things from the human unconscious. Becoming one with the Light allowed Carmen to seemingly connect herself to every possible world, going by how she seems to narrate several of the IDs, so the Light can at the very least let you become omnipresent across the PM multiverse and let you affect it.
>>92605043My questions were entirely genuine, and you did answer them in a satisfactory way until you started sperging about power levels or whatever. >>92603741>Second Magic is less broad than the Light - it allows you to observe and interact with parallel worlds/timelines, but funky Nasu metaphysics means direct observation of any given possibility hard-enforces it as the true reality. It also allows time travel (something not quite seen with PM stuff YET) and dollar-store resurrection, with true resurrection being something beyond it that the Light can easily facilitate. Its chief claim to fame is traveling between parallel worlds, whilst the Light can let you bring stuff from other realities, overlay individual aspects of those realities onto an individual like IDs, resurrect endlessly if you have enough of it, create your own personal closed off dimensions in the vein of the Library, and st itsheighest end you can go full Carmen or as observed in Limbus, use it to cause retroactive multiverse wide deletion.>I'd compare Second Magic more to how Ananta's time travel works in Kubera, with more limitations. What? In every single discussion, with or without you involved, if there's someone who high balls it turns into a big stupid argument because no one likes to see that. We make fun of VSbattlers because they try to use feats and numbers and shit to try and argue up the capabilities of the settings they favor, not even necessarily because they're wrong, though they also have that reputation.
>>92605141Actual powerscaling bullshit would be him saying one multiverse is bigger than the other, so it's stronger or something like that. That, to me at least, is just outlining what one does versus the other.Argent really isn't this fucking powerleveling mastermind people seem to think he is. He's even called out blatant powerlevelwank before, so everyone thinking he's some big fan of them is very confusing to me. He's autistic like Shard is over certain shit, but I'm not calling Shard a powerlevel wanker when he talks about Chuck blowing up a multiverse.
>>92605167Bro we can't even have a discussion about TK without it turning into a screaming match because the conclusion 'TK can cut' is a bridge too far for us. As far as some people are concerned, TK cannot cut, because it would be powerwanking to say otherwise

Or at least turn your trip off.
>>92605219You can beat Dark Souls with a crossbow.
>>92605256I believe he had specifically argued that there was no boss who couldn't be downed with a 50 cal to the dome piece. Maybe shoot the Bed of Chaos or the Demon Firesage's molten stone ass. Maybe put a bullet through the Four Kings who are giant undead husks of their former selves.Such a dumbass take. I get the point he's trying to make but that is literally the worst example he could've possibly used.
>>92605354Power wanker alert
Talking about light, is awakening your own EGO something dependant on Carmen or you could in theory awaken it without getting involved with her?
>>92605299>What, like this guy?Yep.>...I don't think there's nearly enough space on that. It’s either going to be an oversized card, or you have the maiden card say that when said maiden falls you discard the maiden card and search your deck for the fallen maiden card.
>>92605354>Maybe shoot the Bed of ChaosThe Bed of Chaos would be one of the weakest bosses to bullets if you had a clear shot to the little core a 22 could do it.
>>92605361You can do whatever you want if you fanwank it. EGO is purely freeform and is whatever you want it to be. This is canon because I said it is.
>>92605373Yeah, if you had a clear shot. But you don't and that's the whole point of that horrendous boss fight.
Why the fuck does Bloodborne never come up in this discussion? Bullets work on literally eldritch gods.
So, this might never happen, and it would take years of work to come about even if it did, but I've always been kind of enchanted by the idea.If someone were hypothetically to make a Jumpchain (-styled) game, what would that look like to you?
>>92605389Isn't it an entirely different setting that shares game mechanics? Are you going to argue to Sekiro or even Star Wars should play by the same rules too?
>>92605278I haven’t played Dark Souls myself, but from what I’ve gathered the bosses in general aren’t particularly powerful and a lot of jumps could give you the power to run over them with ease. The trick is that the player character in Dark Souls is just a normal guy with some training, so the bosses don’t have to be very powerful in order to be threatening.
>>92605389Um, sweetie. Are you actually trying to say that Bloodborne ISN'T cosmic tier? Clearly the Hunter and their weapons are moon busters. Did you just not pay attention?
>>92605396A game where you are continuously tortured to death the moment you start it and this extends across all saves.
>>92605361Carmen mentions to Vergilius that she wants to make people distort while Ayin is the one that gave the option to make people awaken their E.G.O. But I don't think is something that needs either since Kali was hearing voices and got her own E.G.O. while both Carmen and Ayin were not part of the light, it's probably just something related to human consciousness.
>>92605389They do, but they get dogded a lot. Also, they're quicksilver bullets
>>92605389To be fair, if the gun isn't reinforced by Eldritch god blood rocks and then further reinforced by whatever bone marrow ash is then the bullets basically don't do shit. Even an actual cannonball isn't very impressive if it isn't +10
>>92605389Bloodborne has a much more rabid fanbase that doesn't tolerate sacrilege against the PS4's sacred cow so it gets a pass.
>>92605364Or I could not have the fallen maidens be flip cards, and just have that one girl be double sided because she's a werewolf.
>>92605388You'd only need three bullets from a pistol like a 1911 or something to kill that stupid thing. Two for the things to the side and one for the core.
>>92605405Given the reveals in Canto 6, I would not be surprised if joining the Light meant Carmen and Ayin have now retroactively always been a part of it and influencing it from the beginning.
>>92605389I get your point but Bloodborne does go out of its way to clarify that quicksilver bullets aren't normal/mundane.
>>92605396Kingdom Hearts but the worlds are more detailed and there is more focus on developing powers from each world you visit rather than just souvenir keychains.

>>92605404You have a very strange sense of fun.
>>92605399Yes. The idea that what's actually happening, narratively, is completely different from what is shown on screen just doesn't track with me.
>>92605401Well, the player is definitely above a normal human. They're closer to Guts from Berserk once they get some levels (though not the Beyblade version with the special armor) and all the weapons have to reinforced many times over with magic god metal to do a noticable amount of damage. They're definitely above a normal person, but even a Genin from Naruto would kick their ass effortlessly.
>>92605433I do not remember forcefields, it's been a while. I just remember that it took basically no damage to take the thing down, the biggest danger of that boss is falling to your death since it collapses the floor.
>>92605444Why the fuck does reinforcing a weapon make it do more damage? That's not how that works
>>92605422No, you have to go even more ridiculous. Have all the Maidens and Fallen Maidens be one card.
>>92605444Dark Souls 'humans' are stronger and thouger than real people, but they miss out on the usual superior speed even genins get.
>>92605457It's being infused with magic god metal would be a better way to put it. It's a video game, don't question it.
>>92605439Sometimes you just have to accept it.

Just a passing one but on the topic of exalted I did actually play it once... but our storyteller was kinda shit. We were all dragonblooded in the first age under a solar. But the solar and all the characters aside from us were clearly Saber and her knights, Mordred included from Fate. Which is really fucking weird to bring up given how much fates talked about here but the overlap was interesting. Didn't really enjoy the game though. The Storyteller kept making everything about the Solar. Between her somehow being the First solar and also somehow being blessed with dragonblood and having a dragonblooded child who was the Not mordred stand in and yeah I know the solars are the big dogs of the settings and the special best at everything but... Players need something to even if there deebs. Still would like to try and play exalted again one day though.

>>92605746Anon...you're pathetic.
>>92604870>Where do you get crisis energy? There are two ways to generate it: People acting selfishly on a large scale, and reconfiguring the multiverse (or multiversal constructs like the Totality, which is basically a Dragon Ball made of Crisis Energy) into a certain pattern which happens to resemble the Legion of Doom's HQ as well as condensing it down to a singular universe. Actually it's unclear if the latter GENERATES it or just turns the former-multiverse into a suitable amplifier/container for it or if it's just Perpetua being picky about how the multiverse should be, but the story acts like it influences the dominance of Crisis Energy so it's probably important. The actual nature of the selfishness doesn't matter, as long as people are looking out for number 1 AND the Seven Hidden Forces of Creation (picrel) have been released into at least one (1) DC universe be. Mistrusting the Justice League? Crisis Energy! Trying to mug someone because the economy is bad? Crisis Energy! Lock yourself in your room and refuse to do the dishes because you hate your parents? Crisis Energy!>dark multiverseYES, actually, this is literally the plot of Dark Crisis. The most effective way Batkek and Perpetua could come up with is to recreate entire crisis events like Final Crisis and the original COIE (yes, the Dark Multiverse can apparently either simulate nested multiverses or actualise localised outcomes where Darkseid/Monty won even though theoretically the effects should have sprawled out of control) then use a cosmic tuning fork to transmit the energy to Perpetua's throne (the one she made out of Braniac).1/2

>>92604870>I had a whole elaborate plan about using World Creation magic combined with a dimension merging perk to make a realm that drains energy and essentially acts cosmic woodchipper, then feed the 52 worlds into it one by one.The only issue with that plan is it's a bit wasteful, as long as most things living there are selfish 52 worlds can continuously generate enough Crisis Energy to keep a cosmic being like Batkek or Perpetua topped up enough to have a meaningful advantage over another cosmic being of the same approximate scope....unless your primary goal is to DESTROY the New 52 in which case, just for clarity's sake: In Morrison's original attempt to map the DC multiverse, he specified that there are 52 LOCALLY MAPPED worlds and an undefined number of other timelines, funny whacko dimensions and other nonsense in the Bleed (the disturbingly organic membrane between alternate realities that exist on different vibrational wavelengths to each other in DC. 5D imps go swimming there sometimes). So, if you want to get rid about EVERYTHING related to the New 52 you're gonna need that woodchipper to eat more than 52 worlds.Snyder, being an idiot like most DC writers, forgot that the New 52 doesn't actually only have 52 worlds2/2

Just a quick question for you guys, what are some good ideas for some egyptian spirits to draw on for jumpers spirit magic? Im thinking that since Im spending some time in egypt I may visit the egyptian afterlife as a full on vibrant oasis like egypt locked in time to its greatest heights of power. Go meet some of the guardians and ancient rulers or talk with the sphinx (That fucker HAS to have a spirit, hope its not into riddles and death) or maybe converse with thoth. Though Im doing mummy stuff lately I think my spirit body will probably revert to what a living body would look like while in the spirit world. What do you think? Sloughing off the old husk as it were.

>>92606600>>92606673Mono White lockdown is an amusing deck to theorycraft, but if you really want to be mean you need Blue for the added control methods.Another fun one is doing something like Curse of Exhaustion so your opponent can only play one spell per turn, then using Isochron Scepter to cast copies of Silence at the start of every one of the enchanted opponent's turns (read: their upkeep phase) so they effectively can't cast spells at all since the only answer in most cases would be to try and counter Silence since they won't get to cast at all if it resolves, but countering/stopping it would burn the 1 cast still allowed while under the Curse if done with something that isn't an ability of something they already had on board. Only good in single combat, but one of the more spiteful versions of the strategy.

Reminder that you should go to JJK and get cursed speech,, then make a binding vow that makes it irresistible in exchange for it only working on women ages 16-35.
>>92607026>Me.I'll just note that down as "not-Gege".
>>92607036>All women harem for a femaleYou should note him down as reverse Gege
>>92607015>Dark Matter, Atlacha Nacha, Demon, Doppelganger, Jubjub, Lamia, Roper, Succubus, Werewolf, WitchThe problem I'm having is that there's way too much overlap. I might be better off doing two cycles of B, BW, BG, BR, BU than a full ten doubles.
>>92607031You're shitposting, but "taking Cursed Speech then making an extremely limiting Binding Vow to make it irresistible" isn't actually a bad idea in concept. What would be a good Binding Vow to tie to Cursed Speech? My first instinct is to make one that makes it so my Cursed Speech literally just doesn't work on my enemies unless I first recite some sort of long elaborate poetry specific to the exact command that I wish to force on my opponent, which they must hear in full. This would be extremely binding because it quite literally takes away my Cursed Technique as a whole until I do a fairly complex and tricky ritual that can be easily disrupted by my opponent, which should be enough to make it so its completely irresistible if I DO manage to get it off. Also negates the issue of Cursed Speech preventing normal speech as a bonus.
>>92606898But without bread and beer, could you even call it human society?
>>92607031Binding vows are just minor boosts, they are not that strong. Miwa made a vow to never swing a sword again in exchange to cut down the villain and he just stopped it with one hand.
>>92607094Have you ever met a group that hangs out and no one drinks and they're all adults? I have. I rather never see them again, the fucking weirdos

>>92607128That circle looks ugly as fuck.
>>92607112They're literally so significant a normal crow can one shot a special grade cursed spirit. They are not minor.
>>92607146Explain Miwa then.

Sukuna shrunk back in fear, then Jogo said “Stand Proud, Sukuna, you're strong.”
>>92607154Miwa is weaker then a normal crow.
>>92607154Miwa is pathetic, and grass is green. What else is new?
>>92607157Stand proud. you Cooked.
>>92607154Miwa is literally the shittiest sorcerer in the series and Kenjaku is like the 4th or 5th strongest character. If Naruto fresh out of the ninja academy made a vow to never use ninjutsu again and put everything into a punch thrown at Madara, Madara could just cough at him and blow him away.
>>92607146Not a normal crow, a technique by a grade 1 sorcerer can one shot a special curse by making the bird use the vow in exchange for it's life.
So will my idea of making Cursed Speech irresistible by making it powered by poetry via Binding Vow work or not?
>>92607189Her technique manipulates absolutely mundane crows. That's all it does. She just makes them do a binding vow in exchange for their life and then they can one shot special grade cursed spirits.
>>92607198Unironically yes, it would. Binding Vows can be literally anything, and the guy headcannoning them as minor boosts is hard coping about the interprefecture ballistic crows.
>>92607198Making it irresistible would take a lot more than that. If anything, that would only remove the downside of the power being unable to be turned off.
>>92607198No, as seen by Miwa. Binding vows never made any 'absolute' effect.
>>92607220>would take a lot more than thatWhere's your evidence?
>>92607223You're just cherrypicking when the crows themselves do something they weren't meant to (explode)
>>92606644It's hilarious that a fully evolved protag looks like an Illithid with Downs Syndrome.
>>92607224It's just not balanced and the main principle of binding vows is that they have to be balanced. Irresistible would be like limiting the scope of what it can do to one word, and even then that word would have to be something like "freeze" and not "die". This is because, normally, people can just power level check cursed speech. You're basically taking a mid power and putting it on par with limitless or ten shadows.
>>92604344I can't recall seeing her fight in the series so the details are up in the air for a Karla build. Original series Kengan barely had rules so I imagine they would allow women to participate honestly. New Kengan might not since the administrative shift regulated the whole thing a lot more though. There's a spinoff with underground lady fights and the administrative side of an underground fighting organization, so you could maybe check that out for some answers. STARS I think it might have been called?
>>92607220>>92607198I didn't actually read your thing before responding. If it's really this whole -ass ritual then it would probably work.
>>92607258Would you say it's more or less balance than-let's say, hypothetically-an absolute nobody having a CT that (without any binding vows at all) is stated by the author to rival Gojo's and demonstrably becomes the key to defeating Kenjaku? Keep in mind this is a setting where CTs are allegedly genetic and yet as far as anyone knows he has no connection to any of the major Jujutsu families in Japan. In light of this theoretical man's existence, what's more likely-the inference of "balance" among CTs from unwritten standards despite the series repeatedly making clear that the cursed energy you're born with matters a lot even if you can overcome your skill issues, or the idea that yes you can just fuck shit up that easily? Keep in mind the flexibility that Kenjaku built into the Culling Game as well as Sukuna merely using Yorozu's gift to beat the allegations.
>>92604607Hard to say; maybe? It's not as common to project chakra like that without shaping into an element first if I recall? I'd price it a little higher at least if you want to make it good with less effort.
>>92607258Counterpoint: this IS a pretty heavily restrictive Binding Vow, in fact possibly a lot more restrictive than you'd think at first. It explicitly outright removes the capacity to use the Cursed Technique at all by making it impossible to use without a fairly complex and tricky ritual that actively requires the participation of an enemy/target, then further limits its actual power depending on the length and complexity of the poem/ritual used to actually activate Cursed Speech. Frankly that sounds way more binding than just "you can only use it for specific words".
>>92607094>>92607113If everyone lives roughly the same lies about the same thing, there is no one to call them liars. They jointly establish their own sanity and themselves normal.

That said poetry and cursed speech wouldn't work together very well because of the drawbacks from cursed speech.

>>92607399Did you fail to read the initial suggestion as well? The suggestion was to make a Binding Vow where my Cursed Speech is completely and utterly sealed and nonfunctional until I go through the process of reciting a poem related to whatever command I want to give, with the caveat that my opponent must hear the poem in full for my Cursed Speech to have any effect. This would outright remove the downsides of having Cursed Speech by making it so it literally can't activate casually, and if I also include an element of "I must start my poems with a specific word/phrase and end them with the same", then it allows for even more fine control while making the poetry ritual even more restrictive and thus the overall Binding Vow even more powerful. Perhaps it wouldn't be an absolute effect, but the sheer ritual weight forced onto my Cursed Technique by this absurdly restrictive Binding Vow would likely be enough to make so powerful that it appears to be absolute to an outside observer-and even leaves in an option to empower it even further by reciting longer and more complex poems.

If Lone Valkyrie is still here, I gotta questionCan I use Sentient Limbs from A Will Eternal on non-arm limbs? Sentient Limbs [600] By cutting off one of your arms, you are able to make a sentient clone that will follow your will. Though to call it a clone is not quite right, since it is simply a sawn off part of your soul. Its own power will be proportional to its weight relative to your body. At any point, the clone has the ability to re-join with your body seamlessly. Unlike the Ghostmother however, this clone does not have any thoughts of suppressing your soul or trying to take over. It is simply another part of you. As it is part of your soul, should the main body die, this clones body can take the place of the original, your soul slowly regrowing to replace what was lost. While using this clone though, as it is not just the limb but the soul of the limb too, your limb will not regrow.

Not all though. https://forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/exalted-task-build-me-a-badass-starting-character-for-each-solar-caste.397409/it does not in fact help because ExWoD uses a different system to Exalted where the author claims the power of the Exalted has been lessened by virtue of the world's spiritual makeup being lessened since ExWoD doesn't run on Jumpchain compatibility rules, so ExWoD presents a system where Solars start overall with less but the Charms they do have can do more and they can buy E5 Charms right off the bat, especially if they tap into bonus pointsNah, for that here's some suggested relatively non-minmaxed i.e. no Inviolate Essence-Merging "neither of us can engage in combat as long as I don't because fuck you" build advice: https://www.reddit.com/r/exalted/comments/zbcnmv/making_a_solar_in_exalted_vs_world_of_darkness/>>92608171Extremely broad. There are a shitload of afterlives spread throughout my dominions for reasons ranging from privileges earned by worthy subjects to the afterlives being part of some greater infrastructure. I'm hitting the word limit and we're nearly at the image limit so I'm just going to post the afterlives that show up most in my writing in a separate, picless post.1/2>>92608242>Inversion CuirassMan, it's crazy how much cooler Yozi artifacts are than most Creational ones of the same dot rating. >>926083083 dots in strength isn't superhuman, it's called being fit. Also Exaltations increase your stats so even fresh Exalts would be superhuman by this definition.
>>92608265>almostActually, since you bring that up, instead of making that character sheet I’ll skip straight to the punchline. By the rules of Exalted, if an Extra’s accuracy pool is smaller then your DV, the attack misses automatically. So if you’ve got Dex and Dodge at 5 (and both are good to raise as high as you can) and Essence 2, that’s 6 DV. Pull off a 2 die stunt and you’ve got 8 DV, and if you’ve got an Excellency it can go higher.

>>92608321Uh, that's just incorrect. Exaltations do increase your stats, but not by much compared to how much those stats are already beyond mundane people.
>>92608326To be clear, there are contrived scenarios where an Exalted could still get hit by a trained gangmember even with that kind of defensive values. But at that stage we are talking about the kind of penalties that Taylor was facing of drop-dead tired, in immense pain, multiple injuries and blind.
>>92608326Congrats, you've done exactly what I accused you of doing and powerwanked a stat that has no concrete basis outside of gameplay, so it's an entirely meaningless statistic you can imagine to mean whatever is convenient for you. And you've also cripplingly overspecialized, as I suggested you would.
>>92608171>The Firmament: The most common afterlife in my cosmos. Very similar to Pyre's afterlife. Instead of decomposition/frailty, death is an optional state of perfect contentment that releases the soul from the body as a Kirby-style magical star that accelerates into the havens. Souls exist in a state similar to Inviolable Essence-Merging, contemplating the wonders and secret truths of existence in a state of perfect order-enforced harmonious bliss comparable to floating in a tropical lagoon. In this state the star-souls can send visions, guide destinies, provide blessings and other subtle forms of assistance to the living; there are common ritualistic practices to strengthen or weaken the influence of the stars, and while more stars cooperating towards a common goal makes it more likely stronger positive bonds between a star and a living soul greatly empower how much it can influence. In fact, death does not actually convey the soul to a SEPARATE realm of existence-the afterlife is LITERALLY outer space and interdimensional space, where souls with strong bonds form orbits/choirs. Souls can be physically visited with spacecraft/Valkyrie horses etc but interaction with the living is highly abstract in this state; certain celestial beings like Rosalina and Kirby can commune with the stars and guide or wield them anyway. Or serve them cake. Souls can determine when and how they wish to reincarnate into a different life, within certain parameters e.g. you are not allowed to reincarnate as a FUCKING Nyarlathotep cultist obviously3/3
>>92608350>Congrats, you've done exactly what I accused you of doing and powerwanked a stat that has no concrete basis outside of gameplay, so it's an entirely meaningless statistic you can imagine to mean whatever is convenient for you. And you've also cripplingly overspecialized, as I suggested you would.NTA but the prior example of 5 Dex 4 in a skill is not overly specialized. Thats equivalent to a favored ability of say a Night Caste who loves their stealth and does dodge on the side. Or a Dawn Caste gunslinger who can high noon thirty people. If we aren't talking those kinds of Exalts then the ability to play mastermind behind the scenes is potent enough that direct combat is barely a worry and you are just Accord at that point.
>>92608350Congrats, you've powerwanked random gangbangers Worm enough that people will disagree with you on principle. Your limited time on this earth has been wasted because you are unhappy with people assuming a demigod can easily handle gangbangers.

>>92608363>>92608378What part of 'starting Exalt' do you not fucking understand? You're not going to be any of these things to begin with.
>>92608380People are literally incapable of not imagining a quantum solar with E10 and every charm when they're even vaguely treading on Exalted VS any other setting, you should know this by now.
>>92608380Anon... I hate to break it to you. That can be a starting Exalted's stat sheet. If you Exalt for a Solar Exaltation you did something badass and the nature of that badass thing will be reflected in what abilities and attributes get boosted.
>>92608380That is a starting build.
are worm gangbangers less or more lethal than dragonbloodeds
>>92608350>a stat that has no concrete basis outside of gameplayFor what it's worth, 2e has a Feat of Strength chart that lists what various combinations of Strength + Athletics can produce before accounting for additional dice from Excellency. At a modest Strength 2 Athletics 2 a normal human can lift a pony or break a sword over one knee. At a not so modest Strength 3 Athletics 3 punching a fist through a heavy wooden door is possible. With the upper bound of early game minmaxing at Strength 5 Athletics 5, lifting a camel is possible-wand with just one more dot of either one can lift an unlocked portcullis, or break through a brick wall over half an hour.I will admit there is no "feats of dodging" chart though. And also that you and everyone else seems to be conflating ExWoD stats with mainline Exalted stats for some reason>>92608394Last I checked Worm gangbangers aren't all the Budget Avatar and can't take safely take as many drugs in a week as the most temperate House Cynis member does in an afternoon due to Exalted healing rules.
>>92608394Far less, but goddamn is Timmy autistic and desperately hateful of Exalted.
>>92608389Yeah and then you get your ass kicked anyway, because THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE. That is, literally, cripplingly over specialized.
>>92608394Well. Depends if they have tinkertech they can be more. If the Dragonblood is just exalted and are non-combat focused then they can be more lethal. Unlike a Solar or Lunar exaltation where they get boosted because of something they did. A dragonblooded exaltation is mostly circumstance and timing. So in theory if a Dragonblooded just exalted they could be more or less. But if these gangbanger are like beating up a person for money and they exalt they probably will have a bad time with fire and lighting or thorns etc.
>>92608402Oh come off it. No one fucking likes Exalted. You don't even like exalted, you just want to pretend you do out of contrarianism and powe.
>>92608410I love Exalted ;^)
>>92608410I liked the online tutorial thing.
>>92608404Nah, that’s just one small part of the starting build.
>>92608389>>92608392You keep dodging actually making the stat spread and doing the charm selection, just dancing around the topic and moving the goalposts and then lying about how that affects the rest of the build. Just fucking post the starting character already.
>>92608332So apparently the game is based on a novel by the same guy, damage report case:demon. Which, looking at the synopsis of that on dlsite, it does seem to be a demon girl on a modernish earth disgusing herself as a human. Weird. No idea where to even start looking for a translation, but good enough to base a planeswalker on.eh. Like, for a 1 or 2 cost, I could double the P/T to match the 3 and 4 costs, but bluntly that's just inflating the rules on the card. I'll figure something out, even if it's just a single transformation into one of the ones that I do have decent-ish art for.
>>92608404>Yeah and then you get your ass kicked anyway, because THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE. That is, literally, cripplingly over specialized.Anon lacking social or intellectual attributes and being specialized in physical attributes doesn't mean that you are going to get your ass kicked by people just as smart as you but far weaker in every physical way. And then you add on combat skills the Exaltation comes with and can give you. Also every Exalt starts with "some" charms related to what they did. So if you are badass you headbutted a gangbanger and Dawn Solar exalt you are probably getting out of that situation perfectly fine.
Is relying on their Storyteller to handwave literally every problem they face the only thing that Exaltedfags can do whenever they're even slightly challenged?
>>92608424What’s the point of creating a build for someone who clearly wouldn’t understand it?
>>92608439It would prove that you're even capable of making a build off the cuff, evidencing that you're not talking completely out of your ass and that you know literally anything about the subject matter. Which I'm starting to think you don't. That I'm the only person in this stupid fucking argument who actually understands Exalted mechanics. Go fucking figure, like that wasn't obvious from the second post
https://imgur.com/a/Go06FCMAnyway, here's the Feat of Strength tables for two different editions (which to avoid confusion, don't account for Excellencies and merely state what is possible to accomplish with raw stats) for those interested. As I said, alas there is no Feat of Speed chart....worth noting that 2e core does state Athletics 3 is a professional acrobat in the Realm's circuses while Athletics 5 is enough to scale buildings made of glass, for what THAT'S worth.>>92608424I can pitch in if it helps? On the other hand, the Supernal rules also mean Solars can wipe cities off the map, fly across mountain ranges in minutes or facetank a beam of magical destruction capable of cutting through small buildings without using what we'd consider a PD so. Eh, despite my complaints it's a mixed bag.

>>92608437There is a crucial difference between saying a newly Exalted can defeat a group of gangbangers and saying a newly Exalted can defeat say Lung. The first is easy, the second is a fighting retreat with a solid chance of failure. Even at E2-E4 Lung might be a challenge based on your build.
>>92608452Thank you. This is demonstrably more than anyone else here was willing to do, even if it is literally copy pasting from somewhere else.
>>92606581Man.I want my Monado.
>>92608465No worries. I trust the nerds that have actually crunched the numbers and done white room testing, however limited, more than my own judgement. I assume we're sticking with 2e because that's the one everyone here's most familiar with; I fear 3e starting builds would just confuse everyone because Supernal would mean there is a LOT of difference between what a minmaxed starting combat character and a non-minmaxed RPing one are capable of. Just so we've clear the things I alluded to for a starting 3e character are very much minmaxed builds that take advantage of Supernal letting starter Exalts buy their way to E5 Charms from chargen in a specific ability.
>>92608463That is neither Eristia nor Leah. But I understand what you are attempting to ask.

>>92608452To follow up on this >>92608465Resources, influence, and contacts are kind of weird stats in a setting outside of Exalted. Willpower is funny in a different kind of way, that would can you assfucked in a regular game if the QM is mean and wants to attack the player from that angle, and in Worm would probably be relentlessly assaulted. The charm selection sort of inevitably leaves much to be desired if you're not going to be attacking exclusively from ambush and then running away...dumpstatting to be a dexfag will leave something else in the lurch, guaranteed.
>>92608330How?
>>92608451>It would prove that you're even capable of making a build off the cuff, evidencing that you're not talking completely out of your ass and that you know literally anything about the subject matter.Good news then, I have access to my copy of Anathema again, so have a quick and dirty build.>That I'm the only person in this stupid fucking argument who actually understands Exalted mechanics. As we have already established, you’re the only one who doesn’t.
>>92608497>The charm selection sort of inevitably leaves much to be desired if you're not going to be attacking exclusively from ambush and then running away...dumpstatting to be a dexfag will leave something else in the lurch, guaranteed.Remember you don't need to be good enough to win every encounter, you just need to be good enough to survive every encounter and learn and grow stronger for it. If you can survive the first encounter, odds are the second and third will be under more controlled circumstances. Then you can develop new skills and abilities for the fourth so long as you are smart and don't bite off more than you can chew. Having a decent temperance and conviction is good to have in Worm. Same with valor just not compassion. Ideally you want them all a bit above normal but not too high.
>>92608484Ah, my mistake.
>>92608505>picoh god
>>92608505Probably would want to dress down Dodge by 1, Resistance by 1 and Medicine or War by 1 to develop Awareness some points but basically yeah.
>>92608515Note all those unspent Bonus Points.
>>92608490Yes. Ilithids are intelligent enough to be great wizards, but arcane magic needs too much independence from the Brains tha control Ilithid society. Wizardry is outlawed, arcane ilithids move away from society and often become liches instead of joining a hive mind.
>>92608519That's a lot of unspent bonus points. You could really make something of that.
>>92608497Absolutely yeah-those are definitely abstractions /for the most part, if we're IGNORING Jumpchain-specific premises like "Jumper!Cecelyne (who has made her own Exalted for some reason) has decided to use sorcery and/or the Charm Palaces Like Sandcastles to manually bestow Backgrounds via specific alteration of fate on her chosen champions"/ meant to define a character played in Creation specifically as a setting. I still felt it was appropriate for the purposes of the argument's gist to use a build with those backgrounds anyway, just to show you don't have to haggle over Exalted in-universe advantage vs Worm in-universe advantages to make a competent build that can swashbuckle Leviathan briefly (and frankly, ineffectually in terms of offence using JUST that posted build).>WillpowerYeah, that's definitely a funny one to translate from Exalted to other games outside of an adventure module, given Creation is such a harsh setting that theoretically all but the most people who aren't Infernals or Sidereals deep in their destiny-LARP would be blowing Willpower frequently just to get through the day. And yet somehow, well, instead of a world of permanently depressed people we have the Magitech Sengoku Era and other fantasy cultures.>charm selectionAlso yeah. Solar (and most Abyssal) starting builds are very much anti-personnel geared just because of how relatively mundane their Charms are. Ironically Lunars win bigly in Jumpchain because despite all the devs' attempts to gimp their shapeshifting, being able to just hunt biological animals and potentially plants, sentient beings spirits etc suddenly becomes much more important in (god forbid) Toriko (or possibly not if you rule high level Toriko animals should be considered Behemoths for the purposes of charms. Still. MonHun, Catachan etc). That build was definitely a swasbuckler's build, not a skyscraper-swinger's.Sids and Infernals win too because their Charms focus on weirdness than arete.
>>92608530>or possibly not if you rule high level Toriko animals should be considered Behemoths for the purposes of charmsIIRC high essence knacks let you become Behemoths too? Also Genus Loci
>>92608521Iirc of the same vein, there's also the brainstealer dragon, which was also considered heresy because, well, like you said, and they are very fucking dangerous.Oh and apparently, they can now have wings.
>>92608530For the purposes of Jumpchain I just rule it as a kind of hybrid between 2e and 3e with less game mechanics and thus greater levels of varying performance depending on circumstance and mood. (Things like Workings and Evocations exist, and I am fine with charms being more discreete things like in 3e but with a lot of 2e lore.)
>>92608545>and apparently, they can now have wingsThey can fly since 3e, buddy.
>>92608530>>92608547>charms being more discreete things like in 3eReason I go with this is it makes progression more gradual, makes individual charms less all or nothing with grand effects and more natural progressions of supernatural ability. Which is better for jumpchain. Also since JC is not a tabletop game in chain you don't need to memorize 130 different charm descriptions. Unlike actual 3e where its a massive pain to memorize all of them.
>>92608554Huh? But the pic don't have wings...

>>92608519Reminder that you can spend BP on Allies, which at high enough purchase constitutes buying an additional Solar. Or god. I tried to go looking for it myself but the closest I found was Perfect Symmetry...which I THINK was what was being referenced?>Perfect Symmetry>Cost: 4m>Mins: Appearance 3, Essence 2>Type: Simple>Keywords: Combo-OK>Duration: One scene>Prerequisite Charms: Any Appearance Excellency>In nature, creatures that appear more symmetrical are considered more fit to survive, better mates and therefore more attractive. Calling on her Essence, the Lunar gives herself an air of impossible perfection, doubling the maximum Mental Defense Value bonus or penalty she can inflict or benefit from based on difference in Appearance. At Essence 6, the Exalt does away with the limit altogether.
>>92608709Once upon a time, Warcraft was good and not shit. Those days of yore have also passed.
>>92608705No matter what I try her boobs end up obscured.I've realized that the game is only $4. I'm giving serious consideration to buying it just to see if I pull a decent image out of it.
>>92608714Nah see my waifu hasn't done anything wrong which is an improvement.
>>92608709Total Horde Death. Kill The Horde. Behead the orcs. Roundhouse kick the trolls. Hang the night elves. Slam a goblin head in the concrete. Make food out of the tauren.
>>92608721>Make food out of the taurenCan I just domesticate them? I can see plenty of uses for the tauren...
Is there any force more powerful than gay love between two attractive young men that women really wanna imagine having sex?
>>92608721>Total Horde Death.>Hang the night elvesI think you might have gotten the wrong target.
>>92608721What about the humans.
>>92608731If you wanna hang someone else we have space. There's a lot of fucking trees in elf land. >You forgot the undeadThe undead don't die. They are just put to rest. Setting them whole lot on fife is a kindness I pay to these undeserving souls. May god continue to burn the in the afterlife. Amen
>>92608731Why not just kill everyone on Azeroth to be honest? Make a desert, call it peace.
>>92608730I have yet to see gay lovers survive a bunch of Iranians with rooftop access.
>>92608721Blood Elves are alright tho.
>>92608744>May godIsn't God a cunt in Warcraft?
>>92608753So he shall surely be temoeted to burn peopl eternally.>>92608731We are hanging all elves. Blood this, crips that, nonsense. We kill the west and the east coast and let god sort his own.
>>92608753Which is why he burns in the afterlife
>>92608710Honestly? No idea. Perfect Symmetry + Second (Appearance) Excellency is a pretty solid combo in itself, though. Especially if coupled with Irresistible Silver Spirit.>Irresistible Silver Spirit adds one automatic success to all social actions (but not her Mental Defense Values). The character ignores fatigue penalties and increases the maximum number of dice she may add from her Social Attribute Excellencies to (Attribute + Essence).>>92608753God was retconned out. Previously people offhandedly mentioned some sort of God sponsoring the humans' Light-based faith. Current canon has it that the Naaru are the reps of the Light and it's just one elemental polarity among many, and the First Ones made everything anyway and Jailer-kun was apparently trying to unlock the secrets of their power.
>>92608757>>92608760>>92608765God, The Light, Naaru. Whatever. Cunts.>Current canon has it that the Naaru are the reps of the Light and it's just one elemental polarity among manysiiiiiiigh where's the drink
>>92608751But are they though? Are they really? How many orcs have they illed? Less than all of them, which clearly means they are lazy at the very least.
Let's say I want to make an Alexstrasza expy in Exalted. What type of Dragon-Blooded should she be?
>>92608776Whatever one makes for good healers, I guess.
