Which new sports cars don’t make fake vroom vroom sounds through the speakers? Is the miata the only one left?

Searched the internet for "sports car" today. You're welcome.

You can just unplug it most of the time. It's purely done because due to European noise regulations and cars being sold worldwide new cars have exhausts that are too quiet along with having too much NVH (sound deadening, thicker glass, stiffer bodies) that isolate the driver from any exterior noise.

I never understood the complaints about it, I remember in the early 2010s Ford for example used a tube from the engine bay into the cabin to channel sound...while at the same time having Soundscreen Acoustic Glass to soundproof.

>a tube from the engine bay
Not a simulation though

The tube involves making another hole in the firewall that'll just give engine noise without letting water/debris in, while the sound is a few extra lines in the body ECU programming to emit from a speaker and maybe some .wav or .mp4 sounds. The latter is a lot easier and simpler, you can always unplug the speaker too.

Ford STs and Mustangs all had that.

Has been doing this ever since it went water-cooled.
AFAIK the WRX doesn't do this, it sounds the same inside the car as outside w/windows rolled up. I wouldn't consider it a sports car though, just because it's one of the last sedans with a standard transmission.
>>
Eventually, all those sounds were unnecessary and just due old improper insulation. chuds, it's time to admit. sounds are childish. go play with drums.

It's literally because they want you to enjoy your car amid npc regulations like noise. Some places like Paris and NYC go as far having noise cameras, while California highway patrol has been known to defect factory stock cars like Hellcats and Elantra Ns.

Some of these new sporty cars have the same interior road noise figures as the original Lexus LS400. "Enthusiasts" are just a shitty demographic to market to because they want everything for nothing.

Miata was never a sports car. It's a hairdresser's car.
