AI Art Thread #34Backends:>https://github.com/LykosAI/StabilityMatrixThis is more of a one click manager that you can install / run the other backends though. Easiest by far. This is not about who can be more traditional, but I think it's not your fault you cannot get to this conclusion. So back to square one: a prompt engineer is not an artist. So what? Who the fuck cares? Retarded fucking snowflake.
Does anyone have any insight into how this was created? I've never been able to get them to reach their hooves to both sides of your face like this, is there any tag or phrase/combination when prompting to get a result like this?

>>41065827Correct, art is subjective. I think you are not creating art, so it is not.
>>41065827That's simply a retarded take. No one can determine if someone genuinely thinks or believes they're making art or that person just use the word "art" to inflate their ego. Also, YWNBAA.
>>41062452I love derpy with derpy eyes. It's a travesty that artists draw her without. And I had close to zero luck with AI. But these are nice.

Sharing the beauty and interest of results encompasses another. All of these AI mares also require some degree of human interaction; I've yet to see any AI create mares of its own volition.

I learned to get as much as close as what I have in mind, or the requester/commissioner wants, and generally it's getting to a good result, I keep going again in case I miss something, a detail that is more pleasant, or an item that changes everything. Hi Bronies, tourist here. I'd only like to remind you folks that it's a tool like any other. Traditional drawing similarly can lack creativity if you just trace or blatantly plagiarize, and here it's just more obvious. If someone limits this tool to prompting and puts barely any time and effort into their works, then go figure it ain't interesting. Can't speak for other AI tools, but with something like SD you have countless possibilities to make AI gens Your art, rather than a copy of someone's style. A bit of lora mixing and inpainting alone can do wonders. It's a new medium, so it'll take time before folks get the hang of how to use it in more interesting and inventive ways. Look at something like DeviantART or any of drawthreads on 4chan, there's a shit ton of mediocre artists, since anyone can pick up a digital art program, or use the camera in their phones. Similarly with how widely available AI has become, it's only natural that much of the stuff generated is bland and boring. Give it time, and give folks time. Many who started dabbling in AI art have never touched upon any other artform, so they have a lot to pick up on. Eventually more folks with stand out and be able to make their gens truly theirs, because using and remixing the stuff that's already been made is capable of new creations. Even traditional artists use and remix techniques, concepts and styles that have been honed over the years and generations of cultural progress.

AI art is real art. No artist's ego or politics, personal bias, demons or hate can be involved, it's spontaneous, and more natural than having a human deciding of everything. AI offers a radically different vision on art.>>41066219>>41066509>>41066478>>41062456Just compare with human made art, the quality and expressions are here.AI art is unpredictible, AI is the artist but AI art is art. >No, AI art is NOT stealing. If I upload art with a license not permitting you train on it to it is.
>>41069167Prove it. So far every lawsuit vs ai has failed to state how the model learning from the image and generalizing off of what it learned from it is stealing. Every argument so far has been based upon a conceptual misunderstanding of how these systems work.
>>41069167Claiming private property on art you publish online is greedy and selfish. It's theft if you create fanart of copyrighted material, artists, all of them in every fandom must agree be trained on.>>41069177No law must stop progress, remember this when you vote. They can't win and it's good, unless they find a good bullshit excuse saying it's theft like generating a LoRA, training, and antiAI will tell every artshit to defend their art(business).. Imagine this scenario>Generate a pony image or any image>Cannot put my copyright on it legally>Artist steals it, modifies it, claims ownership>Artist states he's not breaking any lawn or doesn't respond to accusations of using my gen>Artist gets more views while my image is seen as a copy, Artist is trust as being the legit creatorThe worse:>artist accuse me of plagiarism accusing me of obvious theft for training on his art>Cannot prove how i made this image, Artist can just recreate my generated image(s)Can I prove the ownership of an image I generated? If an artist claims I trained a LoRA containing his art, can they claim ownership of Ai generated art?
>>41069569>Posts AI pony somewhere>Image has timestamp of upload>Artist steals it and claims as own>Artist accuses of plagiarism>Points to AI version being uploaded earlier than their modificationSeems fairly easy to prove wrong. Even if they found, claimed and modified it rapidly. As for ownership regarding an AI piece. You can only claim copyright for parts that a human did. So your generation has no percentage if entirely AI, and the Artist in this situation only has copyright of the parts they modified and no more. Unless the consensus on that has changed recently.
>>41069569Well since you can't legally claim copyright on an AI-generated image, this already happens sort of.There are prompters that sell AI-generated "adopts" but since they don't have any legal claim to those designs, artists will just take them and use the design. If it's your character, however, you could rough out the design using a base or even just a shitty rough doodle and be like "this is my character, I just use AI to make pictures of them"
>>41069569Can't you re-gen the exact same image as long as you have the prompt, settings and seed? (Please go easy, AI noob here)
>>41069581Artists should not be worried of AI art, but AI creators should be worried of artists.
>>41069608You can (with some caveats for older methods that were non-deterministic for fucky reasons). Also don't engage with the discordnigger schizo.
>>41069608That's the problem, there's a chance over several billions using the same data set.AntiAI are ready to all kind of attack just like dropping a CP link on Ai threads to take them down.
>>41069609Just don't post your stuff without at least making your design original. You could literally trace/modify AI work you genned, and it would be considered unique enough to be "yours" at that point.I'm an artist and I use AI gens for help with posing/composition, and since no one owns the AI work, it's all perfectly legal on my end.
We need radical copyright reform. Everything should be allowed to be remixed, as long as everyone involved in the creation of a work is credited.
>>41069615I think AI will have to get some radical changes in order for it to be able to accurately credit the artists it referenced (disregarding specific artist lora)
>>41069617AI doesn't need to change. Artists mindset does. Freedom of information for all.
My big thing towards artists who are dramatically anti-AI is like... would they continue to hate it if it gained sentience? Human artists reference and learn from looking at other artists' work, and AI is doing the exact same thing, the only difference is it doesn't have sentience or consciousness.(and its ability to compose imagery in a matter of seconds to minutes depending on the machine utilizing it.)If we had a fully conscious/sentient human who could do that work at that speed and ease, would they also be hated?
>>41069613>I'm an artist>I have the right to use AIthis is what's so wrong.>>41069615if I can't have copyright from my gens, it should just show copyright is a huge joke.Like the guy who generated all possible music and put them on public domain.>>41069618this, we have to influence artists into coexisting, so we need eachother, I was discussing how hard could it be to hve an Ai creating something from scratch-it's impossible.
>>41069630I meant I use my own AI gens, retard
>>41069626Look at the AI gens, how it works is exactly how human does. AI needs rights. But we don't have this power to pass it, maybe Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, Intel and all Ai companies can help with this to take down human from the only sentient being given by god or some shit.
>>41069632Make it public. Tell everyone you use AI.
>>41069635I'm going to assume you don't associate with or talk to many artists, butrather than that anon making AI more accepted in the artist community, it would 100% be a fast track to them getting ostracized, blacklisted, blocked, and hated. >>41069773>login with googleYeah, sure thing.
>>41069689This is what all of us endure as an AI artist on every social network, dare posting AI, there's big names coming down to destroy anyone, making screencaps, literally worse than hitler. This is why I don't talk to artists. "I like to share my art-Don't use my art it's mine!"Artists do protect their business and that's about it, I think they forget it's a hobby. What should be the solution? Universal wage when Ai takes over jobs would be the best option.
>>41069815What's the problem? You use Google when you touch your phone right now.
>>41069689Yeah, another part of the culture that is so wrong with artists nowadays. Good thing that AI is here to destroy that.

All "Training" an AI model does is reduce a target image down to a set of properties, then iteratively generating an image and checking to see if it's properties are similar to the target properties. An AI model can't understand art, nor can it even process visual info like people do. The reality is that what you want is the metadata of the image to be classified as a derivative work in itself and thus retain copyright, and for the laws to be strengthened to allow any derivations to be actionable. The consequences of this are so far reaching that it makes my head spin. Just imagine, search bars are now banned, google is illegal, compressing files is immoral, and all the libraries in the world need to burn their index cards. TL;DR post more AI donut mares.
>>41070320Nice Twilight Glimmer
>>41070336>reduce a target image down to a set of properties, then iteratively generating an image and checking to see if it's properties are similar to the target propertiesYea, that is indeed how drawing works. You break down what a pony looks like into its smaller parts, lines and shapes instead of pixels in this case and measure how close you get to the perceived final result with each "pass". The model comes to understand how pixels relate to each other much in the same way you come to understand how shapes / lines do. They generalize, not duplicate / transform.

Would a name like "Rain Love" work for this pony?
>>41070366Hmm, make her mane look like a rain cloud / heart combo and I would agree.
>>41070350That comparison doesn't work, because you're referring back to the original image of a pony. Its more like I look at an image and give you a paragraph on what I see. The idea is for you to draw a pony completely from memory that will cause me to write the exact same paragraph (or really close) when I look at it. Eventually you're going to start to figure out what parts of an image cause me to write certain words, and are able to predict what I'm going to write about what you draw.
>>41070399Your learned what a cartoon pony is supposed to look like by looking at other people's creations of cartoon ponies. Simple as that.
>>41070419>Your learned what a My learned? Why are we talking about what I learned? I thought we were discussing AI models here. I am not AI, and AI is not a person.
>>41070428That these models learn the same way as humans do was my entire point.
>>41070449But they actually don't.You learned what a cartoon horse was from a television show. An AI learns what a cartoon horse is by throwing a paint set at a canvas and then asking someone how "Pony" the resulting shitsmear is, then repeating this process millions of times. If you were to crack open the brain of these AI models and extract what it thinks a "Pony" is, you get stuff like pic related.
>>41069553"Dash, I was going to eat that..."
>>41070428The mere difference is meat intelligence is slower than silicon intelligence and not as perfect. AI is faster and superior, we're obsolete.Math, finance, articles, analytics, art, music, we lost. AI is here for three years now and exponentially growing, it's already helping us on critical issues and not going to stop.
>>41070503And by doing so it learns the relationships between pixels. Much like you were taught how to draw by how much your scribbles slowly grew to more resemble other peoples work / objects in real life.
>>41070503I wonder what machine thought will become one day... it is so different from our thoughts.
>>41070510And again, this is fundamentally incorrect analogy. The AI model being trained doesn't get to see other peoples work or objects in real life. It's literally a blind man with a paintbrush.
>>41070541And like a blind man it can still grasp a understanding of the underlying elements in a different way. Which is the entire reason why it can generalize outside of its dataset.
>>41070539So those images are kind of neat, and to explain whats going on there, refer to this image. See, this poner is doing laundry. Now If I were to ask you to name the things in this image, you would say things like "Pony", "Tub", "Towel", "Plant", etc. and we can say that this image is say 60% pony and percentage other things.Well those images were generated by feeding the output of a generator into a classifier with a single tag. In effect that "Tarantula" picture is 100% tarantula from border to border. According to it, that picture is the pure essence of tarantula visualized. The most tarantula that ever tarantulad if you will.
>>41070562That is why these models take so many examples to train, you need to teach it all the tiny differences / similarities or it will otherwise associate the concept with all the elements not already accounted for in its latent space. The biggest limit on these models are how well we can point out all these abstractions to it.

>>41077906hot damn, that Stellar pic is great
>>41078159It just makes the whole process of installation and management very easy. You can even have separate folders for A1111, Forge, ComfyUI, etc.

>>41074190Brown belli!
>>41078231what do you mean 'ruin'?
>>41078232No idea, but you can probably move the existing A1111 folder to StabilityMatrix-win-x64\Data\Packages and it might work somewhat (the main difference is that in StabilityMatrix the folders with models for A1111/Forge/ComfyUI are shortcuts to \StabilityMatrix-win-x64\Data\Models, so the models are shared).
>>41078384Thank you for the advice, however, in the time since asking, I have managed to sort it out.I like Forge more already, and StabilityMatrix is excellent.

Every image I gen with ponyxl6 is blurry and pixelated. Doesn't matter if hiresfix it, or inpaint, or whatever.Im used to 1.5 sd and EasyFluff models where everything was easy

>>41078921Maybe, but I still have no idea what is going on, while now I have no idea. Like how do I force a style or why everything is blurry

A chance encounter in the forest! What do you do?I really like putting dresses on ponies.
>>41079386Well GPT-3 understands common mares okay, so don't see why GPT-4 wouldn't improve upon it at least somewhat. Would be nice for more style variety and sure accuracy, but we'll see how much they lobotomized it this time.

So with NAI having removed artist tags, some Anons were fucking around with trying to reproduce specific styles with vibe transfer and tag combinations. Did anything at all come out of it? Or is it really style RNG forever?
