In the 90’s this show was truly the show that exploded anime big robot resurgence and anime shows in general. It’s a complex confusing story but the combination of the designs the art the characters and the music put this over the top of everything at the time. One thing I appreciate about it is all the fine details so many gears and parts that are detailed and move all the pieces fitting together I don’t think other anime took the time to use such elaborate mechanicals interacting and moving. If you look for it you will see it and notice that’s not how it’s done on other anime.
