Do shotguns and revolvers still have a place in police arsenals?
>>
>>61599248
Should've started your post with "M'ask you somethin'."
>>
>>61599248
Shotguns are versatile, can be readily repurposed to fire less-lethals and CS gas canisters. Can also be used in breaching. So yes on that one.
>>
>>61599248
ricky dicky do dah grimes

Good to know the Jews have been Jewin' since that 80's, I guess.
>>
>>61599248
Shot guns will always have a place for police for the reasons listed here >>61599288. They are also good prison guard weapons and used by MPs for these reasons. Another benefit is that for people close to prisoners they have extremely good stopping power even at close ranges where rifles might tend to needle through. There have been a few cases (e.g. the first US losses in Afghanistan) where prisoners have been able to overwhelm their captors because their service weapons don't put down the guys charging them, allowing them to grapple them even if they are lethally shot. But a shit gun has the best chance of instantly fucking someone's CNS. The other benefit is that guards further away can have rifles, so even if a prisoner gets a shotgun away from a guard it is low capacity and outclassed.

Revolvers not so much. They did make tactical revolvers in the early 2000s on the idea that a revolver is less likely to jam if banged up against walls, ballistics shields, etc. but it never really caught on, probably because it simply isn't worth the capacity trade-off.
>>
>>61599248
gotta shoot them injured durr somehow
>>
>>61602288
Is this before or after making love to them?
>>
>>61599248
I though it was a real picture until I saw John Bernthal
>>
>>61599248
Shotguns, yes
Revolvers, IDK, maybe beat cops wouldn't be so trigger happy if they only had 6 shots

But what about a situation were you need to be armed but you will probably not get into any intense firefight and anything less lethal won’t cut it cause it you’ll be dealing with a crack head or something
>>
>>61603395
What about it? Anon wasn't trying to say that a shotgun was good for every situation, he was listing a number of situations common to law enforcement where shotguns would be useful. There's clearly some situations where other weapons make more sense. That doesn't stop shottys from being highly useful to cops though.

show had so much wasted potential.
>>
>>61600417
There was a story of a SAS guy who killed a bunch of terroists with just a shotgun. Like a Benelli
>>
>>61605615
it's not like it can't be done, it's just less efficient than a rifle
>>
>>61599248
Only if you burn local.

what does this mean
>>
>>61603158
Wait is that a Mossberg 590 with an AR style grip? How did I never notice that. I always thought he had an 870 with a full stock pistol grip. I’ll have to watch the first season again. And just the first season.
>>
they sure as shit shouldnt have autoloaders and ar15s
maybe in coontown but you have no buisness arming below average iq diversity hires and having them patrol areas with low crime.
>>
>>61599248
They’re the only thing police should carry. I went to school with and have been around enough cops to know things are reversed, I should be the one with the full auto Mk 18 in my trunk and they should be the ones with the pump actions lmao

Never thought TWD was particularly good.
First season was alright, stopped watching halfway through the second.

How are you doing now?
>>
>>61599248
Cops would be better if they only had revolvers. Would limit the collateral damage they do.

No. And any answer to the contrary is contrari-tard bullshit.
>>
>>61609979
>Cops would be better if they only had revolvers. Would limit the collateral damage they do.
Not when they have to go against 5 Tyrones with extendos. That shit only works in the boonies where the most action a cop is likely to see is a drunk wife-beater who comes at you with a tire iron or some shit.
>>
>>61611262
wrong
>>
>>61611236
The only thing I can find is burning local firewood and something about hot sauce
>>
>>61611276
>5 Tyrones with extendos.
face it, in that scenario both sides unload everything they have and nobody hits anything except bystanders.
>>
>>61609979
revolver isn't enough gun for the next time /pol/ decides to mass murder children in school
>>
>>61599248
Revolvers are all the average cop should be allowed to carry. Their uniforms need to be demilitarized as well. They are armed like an occupation force and they look like one as well.
>>
>>61611560
>revolver isn't enough gun for the next mass school shooting
Remember how almost 400 heavily armed police officers from over a dozen local, state and federal law enforcement agencies stood around frozen with fear in Uvalde Texas while one mixed race teenager murdered school kids?
>>
>>61599248
Do dicks an balls still have a still have a place in your mouth and ass faggot?

But that is only 99.99999% of the time.

Bought my 10/22 and mossberg 500 at the height of the zombie craze
>>
>>61613519
That must be why all those agencies are still using revolvers, right? Go back to your containment thread contrarian neofudd.

Based. I wish I was older during the zombie boom. I was still in highschool at the time. But man I was all over zombies. WWZ, zombie survival guide, walking dead, deadliest warrior, doomsday preppers, L4D2, etc. I miss those days. You could prep and openly talk about survival strategies without being cringe. I was hoping Army of the Dead would breathe life back into zombie movies, pun intended, but it never did.

Loved the zombie survival guide and zmax ammo. I also had one of those budk green tomahawks lol. I think it’s in my closet somewhere
>>
>>61614339
Very cool. Zombies were great until people started try harding too much. It quickly devolved into “we achktually a dead body wouldn’t work and would fall apart within a few days because the nervous system and lunges etc, also everyone would just starve to death or die to infection because lack of supplies”. There’s a place for discussions on long term survival, but zombie conversations are not one of them. Zombie lore is all about fun and combating zombies. Survival aspect was always second tier and was always implied to be short term survival, not restarting civilization.

so? youd prefer nobody hitting anythnig besides the bystandards in the general area where the police are? at least in your case, both sides are pinned.

No, the jews did that.
>>
>>61599248
well-trained cops shouldn't need anything more.

IIRC it was a Blackhawk SpecOps NRS stock. They're a bitch to find nowadays because of the show.

No, every police agency should give all of their old useless revolvers and shotguns so they can free up space in their arsenals. I'll make sure those old guns are kept out of the hands of criminals.
>>
>>61614423
I mean like within the realm of a revolver retard
>>
>>61611215
That's the funny thing. Most fake skinheads would NEVER let you measure their skull because they KNOW they're genetic refuse.
>>
>>61605685
I would argue it's more efficient in an environment where the combatants are unarmoured and there is a concern of overpenetration. Rifles rounds don't stop as readily as a pellet of 00 buck would, and even if it makes it through the wall, it's got a lot less ass than a rifle round, so it probably isn't going to kill anyone even if it ends up in them unintentionally.
>>
>>61608019
Realest take. Police are low I.Q. government employees like any other, and are not super heroes, or particularly competent, no matter how much "training" they claim to receive, it is typically shorter and less intense than what a hair stylist can expect to have to go through.
>>
>>61611589
Bro it was totally real. Just ignore the recon plane and helicopter that arrived shortly before the shooting began and shortly after the "shooter" was "killed".
>>
>>61603158
>that pistol grip
What the holy fuck!?!
NFW does the barrel not move when the triggers is pulled
>>
>>61614365
So it's all pointless and unrealistic which made discussing it a waste of time and that makes you mad because...?
>>
>>61616068
.500 S&W
>>
>>61616068
There are revolvers chambered in both of these cartridges.
>>
>>61615474
I have that exact one and love it.
