It was kino and what is sad is that if the west just had doubled or tripled up their early equipment deliveries and if Ukraine mobilized earlier, blew up some key infrastructure such as bridges, fired their traitors and just spam mines everywhere, this war would have looked radically different which probably would have saved billions in western taxpayer money and thousands of Ukrainian lives.

>>
>>61490435
it was completely rational to hold off on support. most people didnt expect russia to fall flat on their faces after leaving the starting block
>>
>>61490447
Yeah. Western scalation fear, ignorance and retards genuinely believing Putin's peace offerings (such as Scholtz and Macron) really fucked everything up and has stuck us in this retarded deadlock.

I am dead certain that if Ukraine had 3-5 times the Stingers, NLAW's, Javelins and some old Soviet stock from Eastern Europe together with proper mining of the Isthmus of Perekop and demolition charges on the Antonetski bridge, then Russia would be stuck with pretty much pre-2022 borders with minimal advances.
>>
>>61490452
The fuck are you talking about? This has nothing to do with who's to blame of Russia invading, Ukraine did an amazing job given the tools that it had at it's disposal but as I say here >>61490483, what the west gave to Ukraine was pretty much token support compared to what was needed and what could have been done if we had supplied them well-enough at the very start. Now we're stuck in a forever-war because of indecision in the beginning of the war.
>>
>>61490499
Like this was 1 month before the invasion and Germany thought sending helmets was a meaningful contribution to stop the Russian invasion.

the worst part is that no matter how we spin it, Russia always comes out as a retard for invading Ukraine, lets take a look:
>Russia had no idea about Ukraine getting lend lease, so they invaded
which makes Russia a retard in this scenario.
>Russia was 100% aware of Ukraine getting lend lease, invaded anyway
which makes Russia a retard in this scenario.

The biggest shock of this entire war was the 9000 mile long russian army convoy to Kiev suddenly dissappearing into a black hole.

pic/wemb related, apparently it wasnt a black hole.
>>
>>61490524
there is an aura of mysticism and mystery around this convoy, the only thing i can imagine that could inflict such ruin on the Russians is america, reminds me of the Death Highway in Iraq.
But i dont see america destroying the kiev convoy unless they have actual Romulan stealth cloaking devices on their planes.
>>
>>61490524
I remember reading about that a couple of years ago thinking it's over.... and then silence. And then hearing it completely shat the bed. I'm very glad for this outcome, but the war is far from over, unfortunately.
>>
>>61490456
>it was completely rational to hold off on support
Until summer 2022 maybe but the absolute cuckery that followed has no excuse. The moment Russia announced the partial mobilization support training of Ukrainian forces on western armor and aircraft should've started. Long range weapons like Storm Shadows, Taurus and ATACMs should've also been sent over. Instead everyone waited sucking their thumbs until Bakhmut fell.
>>
>>61490414
>if russia kept up that momentum they would probably be rooted for
No. Fuck you are deluded.
>>
>>61490452
He's right though "much escalation" pussy footing in the early months has cost many lives. As if the Russians weren't the ones escalating massively by invading
>>
>>61490421
Yeah this is the one I was thinking of.
>>
>>61490524
Don't really care about Russia being retarded or not. What I care about is how well Ukraine could have exploited Russian retardedness. It's such a missed opportunity and I genuinely think Russia could have been even more humiliated and civilians such as in Bucha and Mariupol could have been saved if the west had stepped the fuck up and helped Ukraine more.

Because unlike Russia, Western countries are democracies, which means that the opinions of voters matter. Not a single Euro NATO country would put boots on the ground if the USA didn't do so first, and the US population doesn't really have the hots for a ground war at the moment, not after the waste of time and money that was the 2 decades in Afghanistan. That's why Brandon regurgitates like a Tourette's patient "No American boots on the ground" every second sentence when talking about Ukraine. It just isn't popular.

>>
>>61490740
https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainealert/lend-lease-act-expiration-will-not-affect-current-us-aid-to-ukraine/
>However, the use of the Lend-Lease was deprioritized due to the existence of newer alternative streams for assistance. Military aid efforts instead focused on three other American budget programs: The Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), the Foreign Military Financing program (FMF), and the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), which have all provided aid to Ukraine without any requirements for the return or reimbursement of weapons.
>Considering the ability of small minorities in Congress to hold up the passage of legislation that has strong bipartisan support, political and bureaucratic barriers and limitations can make voting on aid packages sluggish. In the House, a few members can block progress within the Republican conference, even when a program has majority support. In the Senate, a single senator can deny unanimous consent, forcing the Senate to use cumbersome procedures to end filibusters. Lend-Lease could be an additional tool to clear assistance through simplified procedures. It may also be worth reviving for the purpose of overcoming Congressional gridlock that delays the passage of regular appropriations bills.
>Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, argued in July that “the option of leasing or renting weapons” should ideally remain possible through the Lend-Lease Act in the event of delays or difficulties securing weapons for Ukraine through other packages. She is currently working to extend the Act’s term of validity for another year so that the mechanism stays in place, should stoppages occur in the approval or delivery of other forms of aid.
>>
>>61492373
So then airborne assaults aren't supposed to happen all on their own, that's a good start for improving a """textbook""". Next "support" isn't supposed to come only from the "main force", especially if it's far away.

It's never been about fear. It's just an uncomfortable truth that the West benefits the most from a protracted war. A quick defeat would have lessened the impact of all of the following:
>on russian economy
>on russian geopolitical standing
>on the overall long-term capabilities of the russian military
>on the amount of caution other dictators will exercise before invading their neighbors (especially china - taiwan)

It sucks for Ukraine but the protracted war will cripple our enemies much more than a quick victory would have

It was, like Call of Duty and Red Dawn rolled into one. And it ended up as well for the Russians as Call of Duty and Red Dawn too.

Turns out all the stereotypical evil russian invasion stories were actually realistic and they really just run around with helicopters and armored vehicles aimlessly with no objective in sight without ever stopping killing everything in sight including each other until they inevitably explode like action movie henchmen and then on to the next set piece.

Though the real kino was the battle over the nuclear plant in Zaporzhina or whatever that was streamed live through a security camera. That's when I knew nothing from this war from then on out would ever, ever surprise me again.

The VDV's "reinforcements" were also VDV you dumb jit. Also when you land on a airport the landing strips aren't supposed to be blown to bits and covered in destroyed armored cars.

Outside of the first wave the VDV didn't even land at the airport, they landed at the woods nearby because the fucking place was a battlefield. They had to march over while under fire.

Hopefully you're right, but we know that shitheads like Putin exist all over the world. I can only imagine what it must have been like those early days. Even I thought that it couldn't last more than a week. The Ukrainian people proved stronger than I first thought. When they saw this over their skies, they didn't cower, or give in to hopelessness. They carried on, reported for duty, and those that could not went and filled bottles to use as molotov cocktails. These people were ready to go down with the ship. They persevered and then they started winning, and even though the war drags on, they haven't lost hope. I really appreciate the spirit of a people ready to leave the past behind and go into the new world. No, Ukrainians aren't just like Germans and the French, but they'll get there. Yes, they're corrupt, just like my native country of Mexico, but progress is about the small steps, and Ukraine has gone leaps and bounds more than that.

I was in Germany (Berlin even) in the months leading up to the invasion, studying IR so I actually had direct access to respected Auswärtiges Amt veterans, met a Bundeswehr General at a conference, etc.
All of them universally agreed that Russia would not invade because the idea of it sounded so monumentally stupid to them. It was literally unthinkable that Russia would shoot itself in the foot like this when they were otherwise seemingly okay with waging a protracted proxy war and had de facto control over Crimea and Donbas established.
I emailed some professors after my time there was up and after the invasion had already begun, all of them basically went "yeah shit we didn't see that coming"

China is more rational than we give them credit for. The Chinese were genuinely pissed at North Korea for developing nukes and were, at first, quite cooperative with the US and UN in sanctioning them for it.
Nowadays China just keeps its retarded little buddy around because they're literally just stuck with them (nobody wants to deal with 26 million Nork refugees if the DPRK collapses).
Obviously China supports Russia in this current war, but they probably wouldn't support Russia fucking up the entire god damn planet in a nuclear exchange

Pidorashka thinks that simply putting on a uniform or being airborne deserves respect, but don't realize that the reason western troops get respect is because they represent a protection of democracy and liberalism, and of higher causes like fighting terrorism and so on. You may not agree with those ways of doing things, but we can agree that they are noble goals. Pidor thinks that getting in your helicopters to subjugate a free nation is just as commendable as trying to stop that from happening. He might even bring up Iraq, ignoring that coalition troops toppled a genocidal dictator. To vatniggers, there is no difference between the invasion of Kuwait and its liberation. Can't you see that they're both wearing the funny costumes?

It goes way deeper than that. Any victory Russia has achieved in this entire war would be considered a criminal tragedy and an incomprehensible failure if it occurred to the US. It would be studied for decades to come as an example of utmost incompetence. People would be put on trial and face decades behind bars.

They've lost more men in single assaults than the US did in entire years in Afghanistan. Hell, I wouldn't doubt in singular days they've lost more men than the US did in the entire 20 years there.

It's got nothing to do with believing his own propaganda. He's guzzling communist dialectics like everybody else in the CCP. His goal is to finish what Deng started, which is to create the synthesis of the thesis of Mao with the anti-thesis of Deng's reforms. This, if it works, will bring about the next stage of the Historical process and advance the Revolution (tm).

Or at least, that's what the communists doing this believe. This is why its important to support the actual real Chinese, Taiwan. The CCP thieves don't care about chips or what if their GDP gets a bit lower or if they won't be able to sell cheap garbage to Americans again. The CCP are the only ones who call the shots and if bringing back cannibalism and starvation is necessary to bring the next stage of History (with upper case H) and finish the Revolution by taking Taiwan, they'll do it.

We'd have never heard about it. Insurgency like that just doesn't get reported and for 40 years Ukraine would be a blackout of media proportions till they all die off and the media propaganda machine finally turns their kids into "little russians" ready to die for their slave masters.

Simply sending 100 ATACMs per month in 2023 would have ended the war. Plus some decoys. Simple as.
Every ATACMs has, on average, caused dozens of casualties or destroyed hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment.
We had over 1500 of them after the few we gave to Ukraine.

They do. Just like Putin's KGB Mafia State they have the support of all the remaining marxist parties in the world. Half of Latin America alones is in their pocket and so is most of Africa.

>b-b-but those are shitholes
Communist China itself is a shithole. It's a big network and alliance of shitholes.

Also Communist China's friends aren't their neighbours outside of North Korea and like Laos and Cambodia I think. Also similar to Russia.

To all here who think china can pull off a beach invasion of Taiwan, a couple of things are needed.

1. air supremacy. NOT superiority. They need to own the sky. Not happening against western jets.
2. naval supremacy. Yeah good luck there bucko there are US carrier groups staring right at them also defeating the purpose of point 1.
3. Element of total surprise. I'm completely sure the largest naval invasion in history against a foe that has more eyes in space then you have eyes in your rice is a good idea
4. good recon aaAHAHAHAHA no. Not even no, just lmao. The chinese reject the notion of recon.

Combining all of these points into one conclusion, the result is

>the only way the chinese are ever stepping foot into taiwan is when they have to cross the rotting meat bridge to sign the damn peace treaty after 40 percent of their food stopped being imported and half a billion chinks are clawing at the doors of the CCP with sharp sticks and bomb vests.

This whole thing is a FANTASY. Stop playing into the only thing they seem to be good at, it's convincing tardies that their words aren't lies.

They'll most like try at some point while Xi is in power. It will be worse than Russia's attempt at taking over Kiev.

The US still needs to seriously arm Taiwan. And so should South Korea help Taiwan. They also should step up support for the Baltics and Finland.

The best job the US could ever do to its allies is serve as a massive bank and supplier for their own defense forces and projects.

The MH-60Ls destroyed during the Battle of Mogadishu were brought down by massed RPG fire, a primitive but effective tactic that the United States had no real answer to at the time. They wouldn't have even been permitted to carry out the raid if the Somalis had MANPADs.

It's far more than just some gommunist dilateics. What gommunism does do is prevent pooh from actually declaring himself an emperor, Outside of that, he already styles himself as one in all but name.
Taiwan is important to him for more than just the civil war or gommunist revolution, and far more than muh chips. What matters is it was once owned by the Manchurian empire (or at least they claimed it, but couldn't control the austroniggers in the east, who kept provoking the Japs). To a gutter-oil-addled mind, what belonged to the Qangs n sheeit should belong to chingchong now. Yes, that includes Mongolia, Tuva, and Vladivostok, but they'll hold off on those for now to avoid pissing off that closest thing they have to a buddy. That leaves Taiwan.
This is the exact same thought process pootin had for his imperialist ambitions. Just like monke was guzzling dugin's diarrhea, the chicoms are also making up shit about their own history to psych themselves up for an imperialist "make chingchong gleat again" adventure.

It's not really the same with modern jet fighters. The technical proficiency in flying the thing along with training for flying in modern contested space is far too big a burden. 70 years ago you could get a couple of weeks training and get sent up the air for some dog fighting. Now you'll need years of practice and learning just to fly without getting shot down by AD.

It still doesn't work unless the same platforms and entire ecosystem of other assets that support them exists in the places they're volunteering in. Not to mention there's no way air forces would let pilots just go on a "vacation" for a year or two after spending millions and many years training them to be used in their own militaries.

If Russia used nuclear strike first, they would be the warmongering losers and no one will believe their claim they did so in "self defense".
...and it would call the bluff of Biden that they would then use non-nuclear weapon to rid Russia of Ukraine & Crimea.

The difficulty is only sending the first troops before progressively sending more.
>>
>>61490745
>Yeah China would probably be the only winner in this scenario
>>61490761
>How do you see China surviving a nuclear war? They're the biggest food importer.
I don't know what scenario you start with but if Russia used nuclear strike to frighten everyone, China would CEASE supporting them and everyone's would then call up the bluff of Russia doing a strike on a true target.

If Russia started a nuclear war, China would love to stay aside and remain unscathed, watching occidental countries destroyed. Worth loosing Russia who would collapse immediately, leaving China free to come as "rescuer" and take control.

Radioactivity would only give China more room to set crazier population control protocol.

>Outside of that, he already styles himself as one in all but name.
Yes, that's part of the communism. It's based on a progressive, dialectical view of history, with China being at its highest level the synthesis of communism with the Qing Dynasty government, against the "reactionary" Nationalist Chinese government as represented by Taiwan.

Just like how the USSR was the synthesis of the Russian Empire with communism. The whole idea from start to end was Russian Empire plus communism, a Russian Empire with an enlightened caste of the intellectuals and their workers instead of the Romanovs, with revolutionary socialism instead of the aristocracy and tzarism.

Everything else you said is 100% compatible and part of actual real communism, not bullshit propaganda about workers and rights or whatever. I don't think you really understand what communism really is about. It's ok, communists don't want most people to understand.
>>
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as gommunism, is in fact, wewuz/gommunism, or as I've recently taken to calling it, wewuz plus gommunism. gommunism is not an ideology unto itself, but rather another auhoritarian component of a barely functioning wewuz fantasy made ridiculous by the wewuz kangz, Qangz and sheeit comprising a full schizophrenia as defined by Marx.

Many dictators run a modified version of the wewuz fantasy every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of wewuz which is widely used today is often called gommunism, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the wewuz system, which came to me in a dream.

There really is a gommunism, and these "people" are using it, but it is just a part of the fantasy they use. gommunism is the bait: the carrot dangled in front of the masses to get them to go along with shit. The bait is an essential part of an ideology, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete horseshit. gommunism is normally used in combination with the wewuz fantasy: the whole system is basically wewuz with gommunism added, or wewuz/gommunism. All the so-called gommunism attempts are really attempts of wewuz/gommunism!
