Is studying art that's as heavily stylized as this right off the bat when I don't even have much figure drawing experience or anatomy knowledge worth doing, or it's better I study realism first and foremost?
The Japanese artista start copying their favorite artists from the age of 9, at 14/16 they enter drawing clubs where they learn anatomy. Already in their 20s, they begin to create manga pilots to be approved.Anon, you can start copying but if time matters to you then you better start with the anatomy, if it doesn't bother you and you decide to make style copies for 2/4 years there is no problem, There is no such thing as wrong path or errors. The only mistake on the path of drawing is to give up.

>>7159501>My goal is to draw like Hiroyuki Takeithat's a great goal. But would'nt it be better to develop your own style?
>>7159512useless demotivation porn>>7159501no, you don't really have to. Things like anatomy and perspective are subjects that you study so you can fall back on the knowledge if something doesnt look quite right or you need to problem solve in your art.
