Brave sucks. They have become everything they said they wanted to fight

So much for "I'm not a product", muh data isn't for sale. It's decent on Android, I'll give them that.
Which browser should Winfags use in 2024+?

Sorry, I'll keep using them because of randomized FP supremacy.

yeah that's annoying, too bad the browser would take hours to compile and there isn't anyone trustworthy who makes builds with the VPN and AI shit taken out of the menus.
>>
>>100197523
it's not truly optional if it comes with the browser.
>>
>>100197507
If I open a private window with Brave it dumps a bunch of cookies on my system before I've done anything else, and closing it doesn't delete them.
Firefox has never given me such problems and doesn't break websites.

Firefox with some adjustments
Librewolf

That's it. Anything chromium is not trustworthy by default

Unironically, doesn't matter. Use chrome if it works for you. Since you gave up on privacy by using windows anyway.

Seriously how hard is it to do (1,2,3,4,...)?
>>
>>100197734
It's an anti-feature to rename files without the user's knowledge. If I save something with a specific filename, I want it to be specific.
>>
>>100197614
You don't drop cookies after every browsing session? What a faggot. Anything that persists should only persist with a login.

I want it to save automatically with the downloaded filename + (1) so I don't have to waste time and risk having my penis go limp in the process.

>>
>>100197795

>>
>>100197787
Obviously I do, that's how I found out that you have to manually remove Brave cookies with an external program. Firefox doesn't keep anything if you tell it not to.
>>
>>100197507
>advertisements (!) on your startpage
So you guys actually use the start page? I thought all adults just preselect a tab or two to automatically open.
>dodgy, built-in VPN which they want to charge you for
So? Don't use it. I don't.
>built-in crypto wallet (???)
So? Don't use it. I don't.
>auto-update checks
If you're scared on what brave has to push to you with a further update don't fucking use brave in the first place you nimrod. I'm updating the browser with the rest of the system anyways so what do I care if it tried to do that itself?
>>
>>100197795
make another folder and save your files there if you're that much of a lazy tardlet.
>>
>>100197835
So why are you in incognito if you drop cookies? The obvious thing to do if you drop cookies is to just clear all browser data after every session.
>>
>>100197902
It saves time
>>
>>100197901
Why do you keep making excuses for firecuck not having basic functionality every other browser has? Are you getting paid by the cuckzilla foundation?
>>
>>100197919
How so? Are you manually clearing data after every browsing session or something? There's a whole ass setting to do that automatically.

Also, to clarify, are you saying that you browse on private, and when you close the private tab, the cookies from private are still there?
>>
>>100197962
What you're suggesting is an anti-feature. It harms the user.

>>
>>100198124
No, the browser will not pester me to un-set my startup pages.

The VPN is paid, you don't disable it if you don't pay for it, and honestly I don't recall ever actually being asked to buy it from them, I've only ever seen it in the settings menu.

I didn't disable the wallet, why would I even disable it? I didn't and wouldn't.

Again, why would I even want to disable updates? I didn't and wouldn't.

It's fucking fine bro, chill. Its a project that I like trying to make some money, I have no issue with someone trying to monetise their project. If something that doesn't happen starts to happen and gets to an obtrusive level then I'll send a message to the devs saying to chill and I'll be back when I do.

>>
>>100201932
Sorry anon, I'm just a benevolent anon that likes helping out other anons in need that are overwhelmed by browser or other similiar software choices. I also think talking about browsers is counter-intuitive as the correct approach is to keep it simple and not even think about alternative browsers outside of the one that comes packaged into your operating system. The very idea of a browser or alternative options shouldn't exist, it's just a web search utility built into your system of choice!
>>
>>100201958
how do you sync bookmarks dear anon. i have to keep a google chrome on all my devices even though i use safari on my iphone.
i am also a bit mad at edge because they always nag me to switch to their porn search engine, bing.
>>
Firefox does all of that except for crypto wallet.
And they're adding "AI" to their browser as well.
>>
>>100201719
I always have to agree with you. Firefox is generally a good browser, but I use Chromium on Linux since it's also in the OFFICIAL!!! Arch repository
>>
>>100201993
I personally don't sync web browsers between two devices because I wouldn't want my search history from my desktop computer to be available on my mobile phone's browser that I use in public in front of people. It might contain sensitive information that I would feel uncomfortable sharing to them. Thus, I have no issues with using Microsoft's Windows, Microsoft's Edge, Microsoft's Bing, Microsoft's Outlook on my desktop computer, and Google's Android, Google's Chrome, Google's Search, and Google's Gmail on my mobile phone, while having Edge and Chrome installed on both as secondary options in case of issues. But if I strictly wanted syncing then I'd decide on whether Google or Microsoft would be my primary ecosystems and choose to go all in on either Chrome/Google/Gmail/Drive/Workspaces and download the web browser and applications on both devices. In case of Apple it's problematic because it doesn't have a Search/Mail of it's own so you are sort of forced to be a tinker tranny that engages in multiple ecosystems, but it comes with it's own conveniences and pros in it's own little ecosystem.
>>
>>100202057
Cheers anon, if that works good for your use case then you got it all figured out already. Comfy and convenient.

i find the ios mail client actually a godsent. i can have all my different inboxes on one app. it's comfy. i don't feel the same way about the desktop thunderbird though.
>>
>>100202129
iCloud's pretty cool, if you like it then it seems to be the correct option for you. I don't have much experience with Thunderbird, I use my web browser for mail on desktops, and whatever mail client is pre-installed on my mobile OS for mail there. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the big players.
