Fellow weebs, do you think Fraktur fonts give our terminal a more aesthetic feel~? ( ´ ∀ `)

Nothing. I just care about aesthetics.
Here is an another screenshot for you.
The nu/g/ poos don't seem to care though judging by the lack of responses.

fits the bill, I guess

Don't forget

It's good enough machine for testing things.

It's not even a nice looking font in an appropriate context for it

Uh oh, ricing isn't cool anymore. What's the new thing? Are fedoras back?
>>
>>100118261
Never said it was uncool, dickweed.

It is pretty cool. But I find the legibility just absolutely horrendous.

Let me guess, you prefer fonts for babies?

Well context is the most important thing. For a terminal font, I'd be looking for something that's clear, readable and monospaced. Fraktur is the last font I'd choose. Aesthetics are important, but never at the expense of clarity and readability.

Roboto Mono honestly wouldn't be a bad choice with all that in mind. I'm currently actually using IBM Plex Mono.

Made slight improvements to some of the characters.
I'm pretty satisfied with most of them now.

I can read it just fine.
Tried making an at sign but it kinda sucks. I'll try again tomorrow.
The font also features non-lining numbers.
>>
>>100120028
Fraktur really doesn't work for long streaks of punctuation or uppercase.
I read a lot of books in Fraktur no problem but it's sadly a mismatch for Linux terminal type autism.
>>
>>100120202
Recommend a better classic typeface and I'll make it tomorrow.
>>
>>100117703
That is the most disgusting font I have ever seen in a terminal. Well done.
>>
>>100117703
Blackletter typefaces work in some contexts, although modern sans-serif monospace is best for legibility, and wouldn't Courier Prime or TT2020 be more "trad"? (looks more like a ASR-33)
>>100118155
>I just care about aesthetics
The you would have it much larger for legibility and historical accuracy. You would also have riced the colors to replicate worn paper and multiple shades of ink.
>>100120028
Also, 99% certain thats Breitkopf Fraktur. While not bad, I do prefer Walbaums, which again, is technically more accurate (Breitkopf is from 1912, Walbaum 1800)

Decided to try and make a quick n dirty medieval LARP and jfc
>colors picked off actual medieval books, used breeze light as a baseline
Could probably do more to make it better, but idc this is a shitpost.
>Adjusted font size
Blackletter is shit for actual terminal use dear god. Breitkopf is best at 20pt, Walbaum at 17pt (picrel). My litmus test was if I could get a 80x24 without going fullscreen.

>reject modernity, embrace tradition
I hope that is ironic
couldn't think of anything more post-modern, degenerate and retarded than spending hours of your limited time on this earth ricing a fucking terminal
>>
>>100121452
Worst part about this is the fucked spacing.
Is this how a non-monospaced font renders in a terminal?
If you could fix that it'd look much better.
>>
>>100121876
That in fact is how non-monospaced fonts pop up in Konsole.

Having it be larger would defeat the point. I am lamenting that I had to go from 16x8 to 16x9. I don't want to go any bigger. On my 1920x1200 monitor it's decently readable.
I am planning to do the colors as well but haven't had time yet. But I doubt that paper texture and varying ink shades are possible on the console.
Sans serif monospace fonts look like shit. For legibility at these sizes I much prefer IBM's cp437.
