ASIMO. That had SOVL even if it was less efficient. These are just shitty promo machines that do every single task a human could poorly.

Yeah about that.... you will likely never be able to buy these. You will "buy" them but the subscription will be required for them to function. Good luck.

None because they all run from 5 minutes to an hour on battery. They'd be useless as a servant.

if they plug in themselves, having a servant every other hour is still useful

Tesla bot seems like the most robust of them all, in terms of hardware development and their software seems advanced enough, but its not fleshed out enough yet. No real world demo yet.

Atlas has some nice heuristic controlled movements from their decades of experience in controls, but I'm not sure how well they will be deployed in real life

I hope I die before that becomes an actual thing. It all feels like we are stumbling toward the plot of a bad sci-fi movie. And I am very afraid. Please tell me I'm just being paranoid.

Anything evil AI would do to you, most living breathing humans would do to you for $100 if ghey thought they could get away with it. Paranoia over AI is silly, since anything it does good or bad will have been built into it by the people who make it, or if it truly learns off experience, by the world that shapes it.

The HD version of Atlas had a battery life of over an hour the new electric one has a battery life of over 4 hours and they're trying to get to 8 hours.
So what the fuck are you talking about?

>>100125859
Can it wield a cooking knife? Fiddle with your house's electric wiring?
It's a glorified toy with only a handful of usecase.
Yes, it was bloody stupid to allow its import already. But it does not pose yet the kind of threat a real robot would pose.
>>
>>100109386
so uuhh... does this "bot" come in a spandex suit?
>>
>>100125997

Probably, but likely not with much grace or dexterity.
>Fiddle with your house's electric wiring?
Second verse same as the first, yeah but not well.
>It's a glorified toy with only a handful of usecase
That can be said about most things, also way to move those goalposts shit for brains.
>Yes, it was bloody stupid to allow its import already.
Literally nobody cares, Unless you happen to work for some high security military contractor or are a part of the federal government it's a non issue, even chang has better things to do than track your shitposts through your robot sex doll.
>But it does not pose yet the kind of threat a real robot would pose.
And yet if I duct taped an anti personnel mine to it you'd still run while shitting yourself.
