First season winner, a retired athlete who was doing CrossFit to stay fit. 2nd season winner was a crossfitter who wasn't even top 100 in the World.

I really like this show. I get some excellent rowing and elliptical sessions in while watching. I really wanted the guy who got 2nd to win though.
>>
>>74133584
No, it proves that crossfitters are better at "Basically Crossfit Challenges: The Show"
>>
>>74133584
Actually a pretty kino show
Peak fitness content, just like ninja warrior

Absolute KINO
It got me seriously re-evaluating crossfit. season one was manlet supremacy but not this time. really hope it spreads to other countries im already hard for an american or a scandi version (no homo)
Also Imagine the hong beom-seok stack

>>74133584
>netflix
That's where i go for fact accurate documentaries, too.
>>
The pullup competition they had was hilarious.

>powershitters all came last
>>
Good show but crossfit is still retarded sorry buddy better luck next time.
>>
>>74133584
This show is fucking kino
>>
>>74133584
I like this show but I wish they could get more variety on the tests beyond "push/pull shit" to test speed, stamina, pure strength, etc

also it would give the female bugs of the show a chance to show they are not totally useless
>>
>>74133584
It is very thought provoking… so many sports require extreme physical specialization. So is it better to be a “jack of all trades” or have a very narrow focus? Does time spent on skill work give good carry over to other fitness endeavors? Is it worth it to add one weekly CrossFit type session if you’re an athlete in something else?

>>74134914
Yes I agree. I want to see other countries

I was team Andre Jin and thought it was bullshit how low they set up his squat bar. It looked like he had to squat way below parallel whereas the other two manlets got to squat just about parallel. You just know he would've smoked anyone in that last challenge 2-0 so they had to eliminate him to get an exciting final.
Love the show. They should have a season with different nationalities. Like 20 Americans, 20 Europeans, 20 Africans and 40 Asians/Australians.
>>
>>74136636
The rugby player getting mogged by a woman in season 1 was kino af
>>
>>74136687
Andre had his feet out in front if him like on a hack squat so he had to go deeper. Really bothered me because it was clearly harder but maybe his knee couldn't handle being directly under the bar.

Specialist athletes tend to do worse than generalist athletes in a competition featuring a wide variety of athletic tests, news at 11

>>74133584
Looks good any other fit shows to watch?

I haven't found anything this entertaining other than strongman comps

To give women a chance they would have to do extreme endurance events. It seems one of the few advantages women have over men is recovery, and also the gap between the sexes performance gets smaller and smaller the longer the event is. Ultramarathons for example they are quite close to male times where as anything below a marathon they get beat by 16year olds.
The thing is finding the "perfect physique" is always going to be subjective. Chuds will always bring you back to ancient times and tell you how the stronger guy would smash your head. At the same time most of these physiques would be completely unsustainable back then. If you were in a nomad tribe, being able to walk for weeks on end would be much more important than the other tasks tested in the show.

But yeah for nowadays I think 5"11-6"1, lean, athletic, and powerful is a pretty nice spot to be in. Andre Jin was based too

>be in excellent athletic condition
>do some crossfit
>wow it must be the crossfit!!!!1
>>
>>74133584
>crossfit is absolutely retarded for the average person
>good crossfitters work insanely hard and are in amazing condition with good strength
Both are true. You can think CrossFit is retarded and still be impressed by how hard they work

Shocked.

They should just have women's and men's physical 100.

The fact its co-ed is just dumb because the women get stomped before long, so they are basically token filler. Rather see them face off against each other.
>>
>>74137867
Agree. It's cool to see them outcompete the men occasionally on bodyweight stuff or lopsided 1v1s, but anything claiming to select for "the best physique" will have to have SOME kind of absolute strength filter. Some of the women were crazy impressive but you knew from the start they couldn't win. Not much fun to root for them that way.
>>
>>74137888
Yeah, the show Siren changed my mind about watching women's fitness, at first I thought it'd be lame but it was really entertaining.
The guys version would be better obviously, but I'd happily have a season 2 of Siren as it was.
>>
I love this show so much it's unreal
Would pay money to join a 3-day camp like this
>>
>>74133584
Crossfit is geared toward being kinda good but not great at everything. You can't outlift the powerlifters, but you can outrun them. You can't outrun the runners, but you can outlift them. Makes sense that they'd excel at a competition that tests everything.
>>
>>74137867
No one would care about watching a women's only show tho.
>>
>>74138158
I would watch the woman version first over the male one. But I'm not gay idk about you

>So is it better to be a “jack of all trades” or have a very narrow focus?
If you're not going to be a professional athlete, then it's probably better to be a jack of all trades
>>
>>74138171
Of course, fit gooks in skimpy outfits sweating all over each other, what's not to like? But we're not the target audience.
>>
>>74137867
I think in terms of entertainment this way (women and men mix) it is better. You need to work hard to get good team and think of strategy.
This is also why both women and men are the viewers

Based Physical 100/Siren bros. There's apparently some Chinese knockoff that's also good but I have yet to watch it.

Apparently Physical 100 gets a lot of flack (and deservedly so) for the stupidity of the challenges. The first season's ending challenge was re-shot like 3 times, and there's a lot of dumbshit secret rules they have about how contestants are supposed to compete.

I strongly agree with >>74137867, they need to just stop putting women in and split the groups. I'd legit watch both, it'd be entertaining.

(Also, Siren is fantastic because it shows you how fast Korean chicks will go from cutesey to throwing goddamn fire extinguishers at each others' heads)
>>
>>74133584
This show loves their cardio challenges. It's very arbitrary and pointless, there's no objectivity. The "best body" doesn't exist outside the specific sport each of them do. And searching for it like they do in the show is very arbitrary and pointless
>>
>>74136687
This plus theretard was in a hack squat retard stance with feet way in front of the bar making it exponentially harder to squat.

Do you know of any posts or websites that have info on that? Sounds interesting
