>>143325783Hey, anon. Thanks as always, I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed this overall. Also damn, I like Commando Cap and the more Norse-y Thor. Having fun with character designs has to be the best part of doing multiverse stuff.
>>143325833>>143325852has the overall tacticool trend finally died down?
I think I missed some threads huh or is this just in media res>>143325783Can someone give me a date bc it looks like the art is doing a Bryan Hitch/Ultimates thing

>>143325901we ended last storytime with a surprise happy ending villain conversion
Seeing people getting all hyped up for Deadpool and X-Men 97 has me feeling so weird. Love the X-Men but not excited about either. Love that 97 seems to be getting people into comics. Maybe once I watch a couple more episodes of 97>>143325879I think it's more of an evolution. Like MCU style stuff I wouldn't call taticool exactly but you can see how they're connected.
>>143325879As long as adaptations (of any kind, not just live action) [but especially live action] are getting made, tacticool will never truly go out of style. And even in comics it's the ultimate counterculture until it becomes the culture, and then the moment we go back to traditional, someone wants to stand out again and uses it. Thus the cycle repeats.

Hello everyone >>143325879My take is live action seems to have settled on CWverse padded costumes as the default, and comics went back to traditional costumes, but I think that's for the nostalgia value since you don't see many new characters in spandex. The image of being "for the fans" and appealing to nostalgia is really important these days, even moreso than ten years ago.
Cosplayabilty has also become a factor in modern designs
>>143326033>>143326050I'm sure that's not toxic at all, fan pandering
