There's nothing left to explore so it feels uninspired. There absolutely should have been a time skip. If they make 3 it definitely needs to take place at least a few years later so the characters go through meaningful changes. I like it, but I get why the first movie is beloved by many. If they make a third movie, I hope they continue with Bob and Helen reversing roles, only this time they switch personalities.
The film had a rushed production that lead to many scenes ideas being deleted thanks to Disney switching the 2019 release date with Toy Story 4. I liked the sequel as it is, but there’s no denying we would have gotten a far better one had they not made the switch.
I enjoyed it. I wanted more Elastigirl and I got it so I can't complain.
