It's a pretty sweet show, but it does have some issues getting to the point. Part of me likes it because it's so chill but another part of me is thinking it's kind of taking too long. The last two episodes yesterday didn't move the plot forward in an interesting way and feel like spinning wheels, but I've like the show mostly up to this point. It's cool to see CGI this high quality on TV. It makes me wish all of the Disney Pixar movie could have had a proper show like this over the years. It really feels like the original Monsters Inc, and the somewhat not quite theatrical looking animation helps sell that feeling.

The first season was pretty bad and put me off. Gave season 2 a chance yesterday because it's the only not-complete-shit-looking western animation currently ongoing besides invincible. Which just ended. This season is much better than the first, if a little more drama focused. The way they are acknowledging the switch in energy type and the possibility that hybrid energy is a better option than a complete switch also makes the season more interesting.

Main character is a really awkward guy getting into cringy situations often, and many of the episodes' main conflicts and resolutions are kinda bland and/or predictable. The supporting cast has some great characters, personal favorites being Cutter and Duncan, and Val plays a nice compliment to Tyler's awkwardness.There are some nice sweet moments sprinkled in, and generally I find myself enjoying the series even if it is kind of milquetoast as a whole.
