I cook up a shitty "stir-fry" every day for lunch.I used to use veg oil, then I switched to sunflower and I think its better. But should I pay out for extra virgin olive oil?Is it really the best oil with the greatest health benefit?
olive oil has gotten so expensive i just use animal fat or butterkeep a bottle to drizzle over food but not for frying
I buy half a cow and then I render the tallow
>>20434000All oil is shit and bad for you. Use fats sourced from animals (lard, tallow, ghee, butter, clarified butter)
>>20434000I put coconut oil in my ass.
>>20434021Have you noticed any health benefits?
>>20434009tried doing that with pork and the rendering process stank so bad i just decided to take the store-bought hit
>>20434032Yeah, my prostate isn't swollen anymore.
>>20434021This is a bad idea because it kills beneficial bacteria but you you dont care
>>20434378 What beneficial bacteria is there in coconut oil?
>>20434000for me, vegetable oil is the main frying oil in my kitchen. EVOO is for dressings or putting on top of a finished dish for added yummies. It burns too quickly to be useful in a hot pan.
>>20434443I'm like you. I have that weird genetic thing such that to me canola oil smells and tastes fishy, so I buy vegetable oil for frying and stuff. Olive oil I use in applications where I want that flavor, like last night I sauteed some green beans in olive oil. They were delicious. But for just general oil purposes I stick to vegetable.
