I'd rotate btc into kns. Risk reward is gprgeous for KNS. And with btc I see a msx of x3. It depends on your risk appetite tho. If u happy with a max x3 I m too for you.

Yeah BTC is enough risk for me. I'd maybe buy a little KNS, but it's not available on Kraken and I'm too lazy to use other exchanges/swaps anymore.

if you are in crypto as a poorfag and btc is the limit of your risk i doubt your should be into crypto at all. as the other anon said you should rotate that into an alt or (imo) sell up and walk away, the max you will gain is another 100% and it will be a hellish ride anyway.

Same plan as you with a similar amount, but I don't have a mortgage. Do you have any plans to reduce the tax impact? Not sure if it's worth just washing the money somehow and just paying for things in crypto. Seems you can buy nearly anything and sell locally for cash. I'm just worried if I take into account taxes that I'm cutting it too close to retiring unless I somehow hit $3M+

>>
>>58431218
My total NW is right around $2 million. I think about the tax impact of selling too so my realistic goal is $3-4 million NW before cashing out to retire. I've cashed out a couple $100k over the last 6 years and gotten away with not paying taxes but I'm not gonna risk it with 7 figures. I have an appointment with a wealth management company next week to give me advice on the best way to wind down my crypto holdings next year.
>>
>>58431266

>I've cashed out a couple $100k over the last 6 years and gotten away with not paying taxes
Did you just cash out from a CEX to your bank? I did this with 5 figures over the last few years and haven't heard anything as well, although I do work a job and pay quite a bit for taxes from that, so maybe that's enough to keep them off one's back.
I'm also debating just cashing out to stablecoins and simply selling a small amount every year just to pay the bills. Ideally, I'd buy bitcoin again next bear market and cash out $10M with long term capital gains tax and call it good. That or maybe moving to Puerto Rico for citizenship and then cashing out. I only really need $2M post-tax to retire, but with $10M you pretty much max out quality of life, so I wouldn't care about making more, just preserving
>>
>>58431396
Yeah, I've only cashed out through Bittrex and Gemini in the past. AFAIK they don't/didn't report your info to the IRS unlike Coinbase. And just like you, I think my high income and taxes kinda made the amount I cashed out look less suspicious.
I've also thought about cashing out to stablecoins and slowly spending/reinvesting that but I would feel a lot more comfortable keeping like $2 million in an ETF like VTSAX that I draw from for living expenses while it grows.
>>
>>58431420
>I would feel a lot more comfortable keeping like $2 million in an ETF like VTSAX that I draw from for living expenses while it grows.
yeah, maybe it is a good idea just to keep $2M in an ETF and then for every additional dollar just throw in crypto to hit 8 figures eventually

Good shit man, feeling like you're the future me lol. Same age and similar stats except I don’t have a mortgage yet and would like to move to Vietnam with my wife before we start a family.

What are your cashout plans, hoping my portfolio can do a 2.5 - 3X if possible before cashing some out. Do you think 2-3M before taxes would be enough to live abroad for awhile?

I make a decent amount at my job in the U.S but obviously would like to quit one day, just not sure on how and when to do so, since expenses will grow once kids come into the picture.

Biggest concern is how to generate cash flow, could invest into traditional vehicles like Index funds but at 8% return, that would take about 9 years for that amount to just do a 2X. There’s rental properties too, where you can leverage by needing to only put 20% down. But it seems like another job and if living abroad then property managers would just eat up all profits.
>>
>>58431328
You can make it by adding more solid altcoins like PKT, DUA, and BAT. Diversify as much as you can, anon.
>>
>>58431627
where do you fags with money keep coming from
>>
>>58431627
Anything above $1.5 million is more than enough to live in SEA comfortably for the rest of your life. I'm just being extra cautious shooting for $3-4 million because I want to be able maintain my lifestyle in America in case I come back. And I'm falling hard for a chick I met recently in Asia that I can see myself starting a family with.
My plan is to liquidate all my crypto except for BTC as soon as my portfolio hits $2 to $2.5 million. I'll hold on to enough cash for taxes and one year of living expenses and put the rest in VTSAX. Then I'll withdraw up to 2.5% from VTSAX every year afterwards to live on.
>>
>>58431730
Work in tech saved every dollar to invest. Got lucky and took a loan when BTC was @25k.
>>
>>58431781
I see, that’s pretty smart traditionally with the 4% withdrawal rate it should last about 25 years, but with that 2M and withdrawing 2.5% you should be good for 40 years if you stay in a low COL like SEA.

Not sure what your initial contributions are, but after selling if you’ve held for a year then long term capital gains taxes are gonna be 500-650K on 2M. I’ve thought about meeting with a CPA Accountant sometime this year to see if there’s a way to optimize on tax savings but who knows.

If you decide to get married, maybe you’ll come back to the U.S once kids get older. My wife was born and grew up in Asia so they want the best for the kids and most likely that means getting the best possible form of education. Even if you do international schools there it may not be up to par compared to here.
