This year Elimination Chamber match:

>Drew McIntyre
35

>A.J. Styles
43

>Jeff Hardy
43

>Randy Orton
40

>Sheamus
43

>The Miz
40
>>
>>12941361
That does actually open up the rest of the card for other guys, but yeah, the title scene really hasn't changed in years.
>>
More like geriatric chamber
>>
Someone post the WCW match that WWE made fun of for the exact same ages.
>>
>WWE waits until wrestlers are actually good before they start featuring them prominently
>this is somehow a bad thing
>>
>>12941361
>Kitty Omeowga
134 (in cat years)
>>
>>12941361
The ages literally don’t matter. Talent does. And a lot of the new guys are just not ready for the main event.
>>
>>12941361
>Drew McIntyre
In WWE for 7 years, away 3 years, back 4 years

>A.J Styles
In WWE for 5 years

>Jeff Hardy
In WWE for 5 years, away 3 years, back 3 years, away 7 years, back 4 years

>Randy Orton
In WWE for 19 years

>Sheamus
In WWE for 12 years

>The Miz
In WWE for 15 years

It's not the physical age, it's the TV age.
>>
>>12941361
Name anyone on the WWE roster currently in their 20's that's actually worth a shit.
>>
>>12941361
I'd rather not see twink McIntyre and fedora Miz ever again, tyvm
As for others - yeah, they're past their prime
>>
>>12941462
Sounds like wwe is at fault for failing to recognize and elevate young talent
>>
>>12941449
>implying people don't get hood until they're about to retire

Vince literally used to make fun of WCW for this

Daniel Bryan lost the royal rumble again and he will never be able to be in it again. Cry more about it faggots
>>
>>12941508
Rent free
>>
>>12941507
Maybe Vince hasn’t had any power since 2005 and HHH and Stephanie are the ones really controlling the company from behind the scenes, you ever thought about that?
>>
>>12941459
The tv age us still way yo high even by that logic. Where are the new stars being elevated
>>
>>12941459
This. All of those wrestlers are stale, there is nothing exciting about either one of them.
>>
>>12941516
No because they're not. Ut Vinces company and it will be until he dies
>>
>>12941520
Exactly what I'm saying, people try to wrap around and argue physical age. It's irrelevant. A 30 year old would be cold if he was in the company for 10 straight years. I don't know how you fix it with the current WWE system though.
>>
>>12941508
Daniel Bryan is 39
>>
>>12941472
Name someone on the WWE roster currently in their 20's that would otherwise be stars if not for WWE's bad booking.
>>
>>12941537
Elevate some new stars. You know guys wasting away in NXT. Pete Dunne, Kyle OReily, Adam Cole, etc
>>
>>12941542
No one is allowed onto the main roster anymore until they hit their 30s. Again this us WWEs problem. In the Attitude era the card was full of stars in thier 20s
>>
>>12941515
Nah I know what this is about.
>>12941531
Not a rebuttal
>>12941539
Yeah and they wanted him to win and if he did they wouldn’t bitch about the age shit.
>>
>>12941557
All garbage talent
>>
>>12941573
>Nah I know what this is about.
Based Schizo
>>
>>12941557
It's the same problem WCW had towards the end though, you think Orton is going to be happy giving up a well paying spot to Dunne so he can go work for a hotdog? There have to be a sufficient number of big promotions to facilitate rotating stars around to different promotions. Not every guy can transition into hollywood either.
>>
>>12941573

>not a rebuttal
You didn't even make a point to begin with with. You just threw out a baseless accusation that Triple H and Stephanie are somehow secretly controlling WWE without any evidence. That's qanon level shit.
>>
>>12941582
>schizo
Cringe epithet
>>
>>12941580
If wwe can't make a star out of Adam Cole then they are truly beyond repair
>>
>>12941597
I mean look at it, Stephanie loves pushing agendas, and that’s what the WWE is doing now, and HHH loves long matches with indie vanilla midgets, and that’s what’s clogging WWE now.
>>
>>12941583
When Vince was a good booker he just cycled people down and didn't let them decide who was going to control the main event scene. Hes the boss after all. Do what New Japan does. Put your older legens into mid card spots putting over the next generation
>>
>>12941610
>wanting a skinny midget to be a star
Yeah you must think we are idiots huh.
>>
Daddy Meltzer starts bringing up age as a talking point then all these threads start popping up. The true cult is the Meltzer cult.
>>
>>12941616
There's still literally no facts or evidence here just headcanon
>>
>>12941361
All of them are ina great physical condition, why do you give a shit?
Even Jeff is still doing swantons and is in a better condition than his brother, despite being a crash test dummy his whole career
>>
>>12941634
WWE failing to make new stars had been a taking point for years
>>
>>12941628
You know in the 90s Bret Hart and Shawn Michael's would have been called skinny midgets by /asp/.

What do you want. 40 year old men cycling through the same matches we've been watching for 15 years? Who the fuck cares about seeing Edge and Randy Orton again?
>>
>>12941638
>it’s headcanon that WWE is pushing agendas
>it’s headcanon that indie darlings are clogging up the roster
When’s the last time you watched WWE?
>>
>>12941648
Because they're all gonna be retiring before long and there's no one to replace them
>>
>>12941658
>You know in the 90s Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels would have been called skinny midgets by /asp/
Yeah and WWF was in the shitter when these 2 main evented, getting assfucked by WCW.
>>
>>12941659
It's headcanon that Triple H is in charge. Literally no evidence

>>
>>12941571

Why do we see all these indie darlings in WWE then? And all these long matches

AEW outta nowhere.

Also holy cherry picking

>Darby Allen
>MJF
>Jungle Boy
>Hangman Page
>Sammy Guevara
>Ricky Starks
>Tay Conti

>>
>>12941705

>>

The live crowd is infested with fatass Smarks now of course they want to see that shit
>>
>>12941462

>>
>>12941691
Triple H during the first half
Big Show
Edge and Christian
The Hardy
The Dudleys
Chris Jericho
X Pac
Most of the midcard

Those are ones I can think of of the top of my head
>>
>>12941778
Go watch SMW reruns then. Face it, wrestling has passed you by gramps.
>>
I just remembered WWE has Dragunov
That lil nigga is dimes
>>
>>12941705
That's still not evidence
>>
>>12941778
And with how poorly they've run shoes since 2002, they're the only ones left.
>>
>>12941818
How is that not evidence? You’re moving the goalposts now
>>12941821
And it’s because they have pandered to this niche audience since 2005.
>>
>>12941858
How is it evidence? Its nothing but speculation. Fo you understand what moving the goalpost means or are you just saying phrases you've heard?
>>
>>12941801
I see literally nothing special about the guy
>>
>>12941884
HHH loves indie darlings, and he loves long matches. NXT is a perfect example of that and most of the NXT call ups are these indie darlings
>>
>>12941903
You do understand the difference between evidence and speculation? Did you go to school?
>>
>>12941938
You’re hopeless. It’s obvious that no matter what I show you you will still find a way to deny it.
>>
>>12941978
>no matter what I show you
>hasnt provided a single piece of verified evidence
This is your brain on cult of cornette
>>
>>12941438
A cage match at Halloween Havoc 1996 between a 43 year old Piper and a 44 year old Hogan was denounced as Age in the Cage.
Its not just an age thing, its a staleness thing. Sheamus, The Miz and Randy Orton are the 3 most boring wrestlers on the WWE roster now. Haven't really changed anything about themselves in 10 years and have been there forever. The freshest person in the match is AJ, its not all an age thing.
>>
None of the current wrestlers look like champ material. Kofi got fucking mogged the minute Lesnar came back, and they tried building him up. Now he’s back to a comedy jobber. That’s the problem with modern WWE. They don’t know how to build a single new star. Drew is looking great, but certainly not for long.
>>
>>12941989
I’m not a Cornette supporter, I think he was an entertaining personality in wrestling and he is right that Wrestling nowadays sucks, he wants to go back to the 1970s-1980s wrestling which is stupid and also he’s a leftie and a cuckold and he burns too many bridges.
>>
>>12942009
I think the anon was stating that WWE was make fun of the ages of WCW wrestlers main eventing, when it’s the exact same thing happening here. I do agree that age isn’t the issue. It’s the talent and the fact that a lot of these wrestlers in the main event have been in the spotlight without changing up their moves or anything in a long time. It’s crazy that WWE just doesn’t get this.
>>
>>12942036
So are you gonna provide evidence then or what?
>>
>>12942092
I mean all you need to do is watch an episode of Raw, Smackdown, or NXT to see
>>
>>12942141
Still not evidence though is it. Just like it wasn't last time.

I could just as easily say that long matches are to do with there being more air time to fill and floppy wrestlers are because market research has shown its what younger viewers want. I have no idea if this is true though because it's speculation not evidence. Exactly like what you're saying and what you keep repeatedly saying I don't think you're very smart.
>>
>>12941449
All except Drew have been featured prominently for years. Sheamus and Miz were pushed from the moment they joined despite being green as goose shit.
>>
>>12941508
?
>>
>>12942025
Kofi is not "current", he's been in WWE for 13 years now

Add Roman in there too, since it’s been 8 years he’s been on WWE
>>
>>12942410
I'd be interested to see the TV age of the main event on the smackdown side, have they got a chamber match announced yet? Might just do last years if not.
>>
>>12942443
They haven’t announced one yet, but I’m interested in the TV age for that one too. I guarantee we will get Roman, Corbin, Owens, Dominik, Seth, and a random throw in.

>Roman Reigns
In WWE for 9 years
>Corbin
In WWE for 7 years (Debuted in NXT 2014, main roster in 2016)
>Owens
In WWE for 7 years (Debuted in NXT 2014, main roster in 2015)
>Dominik
In WWE as an active wrestler for 2 years
>Seth
In WWE for 9 years
>Black
In WWE for 5 years (Debuted in NXT 2016, main roster in 2019)
It's better but not by much, WWE would benefit from not blowing their characters loads on NXT before calling them up.
>>
>>12942489
This is pretty correct judging by the booking of WWE right now. I think Brain Strowman is on Smackdown, so I’d throw him into the mix.

I liked Edge winning. WWE still feels stale though, but that has nothing to do with actual ages. Think about 1990 to 2000. Then think about 2010 to 2020. It's been the same dudes for a decade
