>>92864Threadly topic: What was your first airsoft gun?
>>92868First one I bought was a HK G36C piece o shit from Academy. Never played with itFirst gun I bought and played with was an HK UMP that I still use today. Pic related
>>92868JG G36K with plastic bushings and all. Took it apart to upgrade it one day and could never get it all back together. I got a Echo 1 brand JG m16 after that.
>>92868Gonna reply to this rather than write it as it's own thing as it's related I'm a history guy and at the last local military stuff convention i found this model of springer for 20 euros, bought it mostly for the looks and to shoot at cans at home, should i go the full lenght and get myself a WW2 USA uniform (i have plenty of helmets, getting the rest would be easy) and go to a local airsoft play to get into the game? I never played it, but know a couple of friends that do and they could hook up me I do know that springers are hard to use and clunky, but i would go there to larp as an army man (not as actual larping, but having all the gear and equipment be historically accurate), maybe i'm just an autist but i don't care much about the game aspect itself but having the possibility to historically dress up hypes me up a lot
>>92868Clear S&W 5906 springer pistol, ran her until she broke. The first real skirmish gun I had was my TM SPAS 12. Missed the chunky shotty soo much that I got a Double Eagle SPAS 12 recently. I'm ready to shred up the fields pump style soon.
>>92889Ancient photo of my SPAS 12 and I getting jumped by pedobear
>>92868Great gun. Terrible mag pouches.>>92876Just don't be a dick and nobody will care. They'll probably be at least glad there's someone not 100% Multicam(tm) with AR.
Is a TM Scar-h a good first gun? I went to my first match last weekend and i really enjoyed it. Used a rental m4 and my buddys mp7. Figured I'd rather buy once cry once ya know.
>>92868TM Glock 17L springer. The catalog leaflet that came in the box blew my tiny little mind.
>>92864if you're american, why don't you get the real thing instead ?
>>92920That's something a poor person would ask.
>Got a new gearbox + motor>Gun shoots too hot now>Don't want to open it up and make a mess of it like last timeGuess I'll shoot at people from 60 yards
>>92923what ?is airsoft really that expensive ?
>>92889>S&W 5906I wish there was a GBB of this or the other S&W semi autos. Pic rel is the closest I got. >>92920If I was American I would have both, because I still enjoy shooting people in the forest.
>>92876Based.I bought a gas blowback one of these recently. It's a great gun to take out
>>92926Easiest thing would be to short stroke it if you have the tools
>>92868A&K P99 springer, and Well D-95 (not full scale MP5 with plastic gearbox) not long after.
>>92927No, it's just the concept of being able to own many things, not just one or the other. Like owning a bicycle AND a motorcycle. They also fill different roles.
>>92920I have both. Sure 99.999% of other Americans here are gun owners as well. Also, can we please squash the term "real steel" it is gayer than Liberace's ghost!
>>92994IDK what kind of field you are playing at, the typical issue with TMs is that they come in at the .9j limit for Japan. That being said they shoot fine, and are reliable as long as you do not fuck with them.
>>92868TM MP5A3 springer>>92876You should also try to find out if there are any people doing historical games near you. The WWII games I've been to have been much more fun than regular ones.>>92914>The catalog leaflet that came in the box blew my tiny little mind.Oh man, those were great days.
>>93010It was an outdoor field. I've yet to play indoor. I prefer the former. I spoke with a tech and he says they're a nightmare to work on. Is the .9j limit a problem in the states?
>>93017For most outdoor fields you can typically go up to 1.5j, and if you wanted to take advantage of that, it would require modifying the TM which defeats the purpose of buying one.My suggestion for your first gun would be to get a CYMA platinum or a Krytac. At most upgrade to a maple leaf bucking, and just run the thing until it dies.
>>93027I am in love with the scar look and design though.
>>93033VFC also makes scars, both the H and L
>order bullgear box mag from UK since I don't want to wait on Bullgear shipping themselves and it getting caught in customs>royal mail to usps>they deliver on a Sunday for some reason and I was out>needed a signature>schedule a re-deliver>absolutely nothing for a week>go by USPS today to figure out what is going on>they sent the package back to the store in the UK instead of re-delivering>tried to blame it on me>show my re-deliver conformation and the tracking that shows they never attempted it>ask if they can turn it around>no>can I get a refund on shipping?>needs a copy of my ID, signature, and will have to escalate to a supervisor who will call me back if they canI fucking hate USPS so fucking much
>>93033Get the Double Bell Scar off Taiwangun. I have one and it's good out of the box
>>93017The NGRS AEGs are the ones that are a nightmare to work on, I generally stick to GBB pistols and rifles if I buy TM
What m4 brand for plinking in my room? I won't play any game in a field but want to larp in my house. The more realistic looking the better, I was thinking of getting a gbbr.
Has anyone had experience with or owns a Wolverine MTW?I think I've watched every video about it, everyone seems to talk it up as the endgame of airsoft weapons, especially out of the box. But then I saw this video, which seems to be made by the only guy who has actually done a proper shooting test, and the results seem pretty underwhelming, especially for the price. What gives?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmguAvdLpOo
>>93208Haven't watched the video, but nothing's perfect. HPA is nice, but you have the external hose, expensive tank that needs recertifications, no quick and easy refills at home, etc... you pick what you think is best for your situation.
>>93208I own a heavily modified MTW, and watched that video. In the comments you can see them talking about the temperature, and how the bucking is too hard causing inconsistent shots at 200ft. Just like an AEG you need to use a winter bucking when its cold.As for the MTW hype and acclaim, that's mostly due to the design. It's designed from the ground up to have perfect nozzle alignment between the hop up and engine, is incredibly easy to modify and work on, and has a lot of real steel compatibility. From a performance perspective the only thing it has on lets say a combat machine with a inferno in it, is that guaranteed nozzle alignment, and even then its not that hard to do with a drop in engine build. As for the price you can absolutely build a gun that performs the same for about $100 less, but more then likely the donor body will not be as nice. If you end up going with lets say a VFC or Krytac as a base now you are in the same ballpark as a Billet MTW, but with a body style that is way more inconvenient to modify or do maintenance on.
>>92868https://www.airsoftgi.com/product/Bravo-MK98-Bolt-Action-Sniper-Airsoft-Rifle-w-Bipod-OD-Green-9252/I fell for the sniper meme and I regret making this my first gun.
How the fuck do you fit a battery into an Mp5 with a retractable stock and decent looking foregrip without a PEQ-box?
Can someone spill on the beans on "airsoft with live ammo"? is it even possible to fire non-lethal live rounds?>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I4aTqpy5PMvery based related video
>>93255You’re not the only one. Hundreds of kids constantly watching Norvitch and Kicking Mustang made playing woods airsoft incredibly boring. Can’t play 2 minutes without a kid shrieking «I’ve shot you!!!!» from half a mile away.
>>93258Those are simunition rounds. They hurt like a motherfucker and are mainly for firearms force training.
Anyone in South West Florida want to help a retard unfuck their Umarex Mp5? Or kill said retard and save him the trouble of suicide?e
>>93320Ok what the fuck did you do exactly
>>93323Could never get a battery to fit in it, then just decided to try and plug one in anyway only to find it was stuck on full auto regardless of trigger or selector position, opened it up, found the wire from the mosfet going to the trigger contact had snapped off, tried to fix that but ended up taking the whole thing apart and giving up completely. It had problems from the start, just taking the gearbox/grip out was a pain in the ass because the tabs the stock pin goes through were somehow bent inward and couldn't clear the selector plate, so in the two times I've taken it apart the selector plate and one of the springs on it got mangled. The original wiring didn't clear the feed nozzle so the first magazine I put in it tore up the power cables, and it's an Avalon gearbox which I only learned after buying it was a pile of shit.
>Nothing happens in the war during weekendsThey're like the opposite of weekend warriors
>>93341That's because they airsoft on the weekends.
>>93261>Kicking MustangI'm so glad he's banned from every site in the country
Has anyone got any of the 40mm gas shell powered rocket launchers? M-72 LAW sort of thing?
>>93369Closest I have is an M320. MilsimLabs new foam rockets are great so far.
>>93370Ah. Got a question about the shells if you don't mind? The firing button on the back of the shell, does that require any kind of impact in order to set it off? Or does the firing pin just apply pressure from the trigger and push it down?
>>92864What GBBR would you guys recommend? I'm mostly looking for something to plink with/finger fuck, as I'm pretty happy with AEGs for skirmishing. I was thinking a WE M14, but I don't want to spoog money if WE are shit at GBBRs as well.
>>93373Firing pin applies pressure to set off the round. Are you looking to make a LAW or something? I'm curious
>>93381TM MWS seems to be the best on the market right now. Avoid WE GBBRs, their pistols are fine, but their m14 is one of if not the worst GBBRs ever made.
>>92928>I wish there was a GBB of thisNo you don'tI have a real one and the entire series is fucking awful
>>93369I rigged a spent M-72 with some lego and a spring to fire 40mm when I pulled a wire.Could have gotten a better setup if I drilled a hole in the top but I wanted to resell the launcher intact.
>>93403Second this. I love my MWS, GHKs and VFCs are also apprently servicable but MWS just werks out the box
are KWC and umarex the way to go for pistols?looking for a revolver specifically, any make or model as long as it shootspreferably under 400fps because lol canada
>>93445had a friend recently print a rail for me. It's a bit scuffed but he's making a better one for me
>>93445>GopTacStop buying GayShop shit.
>>93436ASG also makes some but idk if they sell in the states
>>93436KJW's pretty much the go-to pistol brand I recommend to people because they're often reasonably priced (by Canada standards), are built pretty damn tough to allow for CO2 use while still allowing efficient propane use, and their Glocks and Capas in particular have a pretty decent rate of compatibility with TM-spec parts - I've had a KJW G17 for a year and a half now, and it's still working the same as the day I bought itWouldn't recommend KWC for someone trying to get into pistols, and especially would never recommend their dogshit 1911 - Umarex's stuff is also typically extremely overpriced for what you get, AFAIK, and their Glocks are incompatible with most TM-spec aftermarket IIRC
>>93401>>92868started with airsoft just last year, first (and only, for now) replica i got was the LCT AK74N. also, any thoughts on the kit? i'm looking into buying a Type 56 chest rig to replace this cheap no-name rig i have, and after that i might get a helmet, maybe a Ssh-68. i'm going for a early 2000s russian soldier vibe, if any anons have suggestions i'd appreciate it. and yes i know the PSO-1 and 74 combination is farby as fuck.
>>93388Sorry for the late reply. For some reason the work IP is blocked so I have to wait until I'm home.Yeah, a LAW or similar is the plan. I was looking at the LAW and the RPG-18 /22 /26. The main issues I can see doing the LAW, 18 & 22 is that the launch tube is telescopic. Its not too hard but it adds another level of mechanism that I could probably do without. So I think I'm going to work towards an RPG-26. The tube and the external furniture are much simpler than all of the others and the larger calibre will give me more room to work inside. Thanks for the info. The issue going round in my head is how to make the downward pressure of the firing button transfer into a rearward pressure for the pin pushing the grenade button. I've got the basics in my head but I think the only way to know for sure is to do it. I've started drawing it up in skechup and I'm going to 3D print it apart from the tube (I'm a modelmaker) but it's only the firing mechanism that is making me scratch my head.
>>93410Ah nice one. If you don't mind me asking are you from the states? You can get spent LAW tubes over here in the UK but they are about £200 a pop. It's tempting as it would be authentic but then I'd have to really think about how to take it apart to get the firing button to work with an custom launcher.Did you just have something under pressure with the spring that was held in place by the lego then? Great picture by the way.
>>93518Man please keep us posted here on the build. An RPG26 will look dope as fuck especiallyshooting taginn rounds and shit. I'm anxious to see a new launcher in the sport!
>>93498>>93483preciate it ladscan get asg or kjw here so I'll look around
Hows the LCT G3 model? Still problems with the midcap mags? It's on sale in my local store and I really tempted tonget it.
>>93519I got lucky and bought a couple from some guy selling them for $70 a piece.I had a spring loaded rod that was blocked by a small piece of metal inside the lego contraption and pulling the wire unblocked it.
>>92864is airsoft entirely larping or can it be good practice for when SHTF?
>>93658I know people who practice. They go out in their actual gear, actual plates, use tactics they've learned, etc... Is it GREAT practice? I dunno. I'm honestly not planning for government collapse.
>>93659its wise to prepare for the worse
>>93609Oh nice one, definitely worth grabbing them at that price. Thanks for the info dude. When I've got something to show you all I'll post it up.
>>93658Depends. Airsoft can be good practice if you practice correctly, of course. It can help you develop/improve your abilities to communicate with others, to work as a team, and to develop good strategies. it might help with your movement, how to remain undetected, how to and where to position yourself. it definitely *will* help you in regards to how you move with your gear, considering you'll be running, crawling and rolling around like you'd literally never do in range drills or stuff like that. and lastly, this is to me one of the best "training aspects" of airsoft, it can help you figure out what works and what will get you clapped in a real firefight.THAT SAIDone of the most CRITICAL counterpoints to using airsoft as any form of training at all is ballistics. a bullet will rip straight through plywood or whatever the fuck is used for cover in most fields. a bullet, or a few of them, will fuck you up even if you're standing behing a swung open car door. unlike with chinese toys guns, rifles can be extremely accurate upwards to 350 meters or whatever. not that i think you are retarded anon, but if you want to play airsoft and use it as a training tool then go for it, but don't create bad habits that will get you domed in a real SHTF scenario. P.S. LARPing is fun, and it's the closest some of us who live in shithole countries will ever get to real rifles and etc.
>>93672Are you probably just better off joining the military to get these kind of skills? I have next to zero intentions of getting into airsoft, I've just wondered this for sometime. I'm skeptical of how much it would actually transfer over, especially once you have a bullet crack over your head in a gunfight. Where was that picture taken btw?
>>93674yesthat being said I have to laugh when I see /k/ tier larpers screaming about having guns when shtfyou know what you really need when shtf? as has happened in other countries before?unless it's an invasion all you really need is;A ham radio (when that volcano exploded in tonga there were no ham operators, no communication)fresh waterfoodheatthat's pretty much it, having guns helps in a mad max scenario or if you live in looter land, but generally when things go bad people will try to help each other out (maybe not in america, but I don't talk to jewdicks so unsure) because it's hard to survive such a situation alone, even if you're kitted out like rambo
>>93674>Are you probably just better off joining the military to get these kind of skills?Yes>Where was that picture taken btw?sorry anon i have no idea>>93677extremely based take.
>>93401this you, anon? nice kit.
>>93672>one of the most CRITICAL counterpoints to using airsoft as any form of training at all is ballistics. a bullet will rip straight through plywood or whatever the fuck is used for cover in most fieldsBased on Ukraine I realize there are way less pallets, empty barrels and plywood walls randomly located in street battles than everyone expected.
>>93698>in a real firefight, he doesn't yell at the opposition that they got hit and to stop cheating
now we wait
So I filed and sanded a flat onto the top of my outer barrel and under the fake gas tube to get more space for mounting a battery between the two. What kind of process and materials should I use for painting this so it's safer for wedging a battery between and hopefully less prone to rust now that I've exposed a large section of bare metal?
>>93727Windshield primer is what I use for any exposed metal. Had to pot 2 coats on my M320 after having to dremel the tube to fit reinforced tagging shells
>>93723The pp19 is overhyped meme, everyone will soon go back to either ak or mp5
>>93756Why would they? Name one good AEG MP5 that's not pot metal garbage
So what is the entry budget for Airsoft?
>>93765At the very least you need an eyepro, $10Cheap rental grade m4 or ak $150Plus batteries and BBs etc $200 to $300If you want something non shit lets say $400
>>93761cyma high speeds are fun and cheap, prove me wrong
>>93770>pot metal garbage
>>93772>pot metalall aegs are pot metal
>>93761ICS CES-P (not to be confused with the earlier CES lineup)
>>93672In my eyes, if you're shooting someone beyond the effective range of airsoft by default you're attempting to murder someone. You're not defending self. I have no idea what group mechanics you're unable to simulate through airsoft, but it has nothing to do with defense.
>>93843fair, i see your point. that said... that anon did ask if it can help you in a SHTF scenario, not in a self defense one. ho knows, he might be the one trying to attack people in that scenario.
>>93776>what is LCT
>>93843What if they're black?
I'm looking to sell my NPO VSS. what do you guys think I can get for it seeing as they're unobtainium now?
>>93942NPO still ships to EU doesn’t they? They did last I checked
>>93944I have no idea. they can't be found anywhere in the States due to sanctions
>>93942I'd say around $500 to start an auction. Ask $800 otherwise
>>93948>yfw they go for 1k new now, but are out of stock everywherethey fucking doubled in price over the course of like 8 monthsI put mine at 600 starting bid and 1100 buy it now.
>>93847if your goal in a SHTF scenario involves evading militant pedophiles i wouldn't be making a point attacking anyone just the same. you'd be better off leaving a cold trail, allowing someone dumber to pick up the heat, and set up defenses that you'd successfully lay claim a cosplaying moron calling themselves local police.
I've got a daytona m4 in a wetech raptor body & a daytona ares m110, would these be worth selling or too much effort
>>93881No let's just stick to LCT.I don't like rust and out of spec receivers.
>>94003yea but LCT quality is a marginal step over CYMA where you pay a lot more for shittier internals
>>92868Some old ass m4 aeg given to me by my cousin who didn't use it anymore. It worked pretty well actually. No idea what brand, but I think it's UKARMS as the only thing close to branding I found on it was a ukarms.com sticker on the inside of the handguard.
>local indoor field burned down last year>owners found a new building>could be months before the new location opens
>>92920I can't shoot my friends with the real ones.Well, I can, but "society" doesn't like it.
>>93532It begins....Got a fair bit of the fixings sorted. What i'm going to do is try and do ALL the parts 3D printable so that you fuckers can just do what you want with the files. I think i've got a good idea of what to do with the firing mechanism but i really need to draw it out properly to give it a shot.
>>93532Some updates. Over here in the UK hard plastic drainpipe is 68mm diameter which is close enough to the 72mm calibre of the launcher for me to be able to do cheaply. For you Americans - is there a typical round drainpipe size? Or typical round pipe of around 2 1/2" or 3" so i can scale all the drawings appropriately so you guys can just print it out and i know the scale will be correct?
>>94046>local indoor field burned downInshallah it will never reopen, CQB is worst QB.
>>94046Hey, my local cqb field closed down and they never got their "dream field". They could have just let it ride but they had to make dumb business decisions.
>>94065Dont bother with the scale, most people can't even print properly at 100% and will always pick "fit to paper" which is automatically scaled down like 97% or so and not even knowing itAnd why would they print it on paper?
>>94108I'm not sure if your joking or not so I'll just take it at face value. Sorry, don't mean to be rude. That's a 3D file for printing I'm working on there. So all the individual parts could be done on a filament FDM printer like a makerbot or something and printed out. The aim is to use standard plastic piping, in this case rainwater downpipe to make the launcher body. And all the other bits are printed so they can be combined with a 40mm gas shell and make a working launcher. The reason why I asked for sizes of common things is then I could scale the files based on that factor and then all the parts will fit into the tube.
>>94121You said "scale all the drawings" so I thought you are making a set of blue prints or templates on paper. If you meant 3D printing then it wouldn't be drawings.2 and 2-1/2 and 3" are common sizes in US but the next sizes up are 4 and 6"
>>94201Ah sorry, its just a habit from work (architecture) where we call everything drawings.3" seems like it would work so that is good then. Very similar size.
>>92868My first marker was a JG G36K. It broke after a year. Been running a G36 with a beta mag and integrated scope since then
Do you guys think that a bb could break this scope? it feels think enough that it couldnt but i just dont know, its supposed to be a scope for a real gun
>>94255the other side
>>94255>couldSomeone running a hot gun will absolutely able to break any type of scope, so it depends how likely it is and how much risk you are willing to take
I just put this scope on. This is the final look.
>>94260got this for cheap even though it goes for like 300 so I guess i have no choice, id have to mount it on the the lens almost directly so i wonder if with how its resting on the scope instead of lens it would be hard to see out of with the sun hitting it in a certain way
>>94255Real scopes aren't designed to take hits to the glass either. If you got hit in the scope, you got worse problems. Just put on a plexiglass (not acrylic) screen if it bothers you.
good scopes for airsoft?k always suggests holosun but that seems a bit much for bb plinkerswas looking at something like this with a magnifier or some basic reflex sight, some low tier UTG thing
I think it needs a c-mag
>>94267I always hear good things about Vortex and their warranty apparently covers BB damage. Obviously don't say you were playing airsoft directly but you should be able to get get it replaced if you do get it busted. But they are in the, "costs more than your gun" price range, if only just.
>>92868Some shitty manuel m1929 Thompson. I fucking loved it, but it was cheap and broke. On the other hand, the newest gun i have bought is an Cyberarm Co2 BB Desert Eagle. It might have been cheaper than the gas one, but it was only aviable in black and I wanted it in the classic silver colour. It also have full auto so that is fucking neat. An annoying thing about it is that its easy to disassemble, but hard to reassemble. I actually wasted a few hours on youtube watch toturials on how to put it back together, while trying to replicate what they did. (and failing miserably).
>>94281I'll take a peek, thanks manthere's so many fucking options how do you guys manage this shit jfc
>>94269looks straight out of battlefield 4
>>94255>>94257100% a direct BB strike will destroy the lens. Best way to protect it is to get some scope covers, and then cut lexan (not plexiglass) circles that can fit underneath them.>>94267I just run real optics and then protect them with homemade lexan protectors. The reticles in airsoft knockoffs just drove me insane. You can pick up cheap real steel optics for around $100 like primary arms. Like >>94281 mentioned Vortex has a no questions asked warranty policy, but its not worth imo. You will have to send it back to them and then wait for it to be repaired and sent back.Overall it's way easier to just make protection for your optics. The only optics where it is difficult are elcans, acogs, and eotechs, but the gunsmodify protectos are good on eotechs and I use them on my real EXPS3.
I bought these cheap from China. Then you can buy a sheet of polycarbonate and cut your own custom shape if the default isn't good enough for you.>>94266>Just put on a plexiglass (not acrylic) screen if it bothers you.>>94299>cut lexan (not plexiglass) circles that can fit underneath them.Oops, my bad. I mean polycarbonate, not plexiglass. Lexan is a brand name polycarbonate, while Plexiglass is a brand name acrylic.>>94283>there's so many fucking options how do you guys manage this shit jfcBy buying multiple guns.

>>94459No, I see that type of player in all sort of games. People focused on solo K/D ratios rather than team goals.
>>94459Although I disagree I do know what you mean. Whenever I used to take along friends who had never done it they would be up for whatever as it was still all new. Contrast that with some of the more experienced ones who would just lob BBs from a distance.
>>94459Have you played multiplayer fps games? How many people have you seen there shit on the objective?Airsoft ain't that different.
It's >>94370 again. I've probed my gearbox case and mosfet and there's no shorts, everything seems to be a problem with the board. I'm getting continuity from Battery Positive / Trigger Positive to the little black box component I can't identify, but only on the solder pad indicated with a red dot. The other red dot is where the Positive connection comes in. There's no solder bridge between the two.I'm also getting continuity between Battery Negative and Motor Negative, so the board is "always on" regardless of trigger contacts and I've not found any other shorts that could cause this. Am I just cursed?
>>94492That little wire dangling off the switch is touching a pin on the pcb at far right near the right dot, is that normal?
>>94497I think that's perspective, on mine there's a resistor inline with the "up" side of the the trigger contact, opposite the "down" side that has battery positive connected. I didn't get continuity between that with anything else.
>>94436Thank you kind sir
>>94361Been shot in the dick multiple times. It sucks but not enough for me to wear a cup.
>>92868a shitter marines licnesed springer m4 that made like 150 fps
>>94627one time got shot above the goggles but under the helmet with a 500 fps sniper, had a red spot the size of a quarter on my forehead for a few days lol
>>94629Hots there are always the best lol! My wife loves giving my airsoft wounds hard pokes for the lulz
>>94492At this point I'd look into just lapping in the standard v2 trigger switch and calling it a day.
>>94675Couldn't I just bypass the whole thing and wire Battery Positive to trigger contact on one side and Motor Positive on the other, ignoring the whole thing and burning out my contacts without a mosfet? It'd at least be free to do and work for a little bit before I'd have to replace it.
new pp who dis
>>94678not really, just get stock v2 trigger switch, wire it up and be done with it. leave the mosfet fuckery for later once you have it figured out.
>>92920I have both, but I can't afford a real MP7 man
>>94044>SHOOT ME PLEASE!!!
>>94692>new pp who disIs this nigger-speak?Putting that aside, is that an LCT or Arcturus? Also, what suppressor is that and is it possible to fit a tracer unit inside?
>>94790Arcturus, and it’s the PBS-1 mini tracer from Taiwangun
>>94692How does it look with a mag in it?
>Tfw no double-barrel rocket launcher
Anyone has experience with a JG mp5?
>>93770>funDepends on the model I hate the cyma AK's since I couldn't add external parts.
>>94849rifle is fine
>>94844Yes, they are solid. The one I had felt pretty close to my TM MP5J, I never should have pawned that thing off.
>>94853>rifle is fineBut it can be better.
>>94867I see a proper rusfor recon kit.The impact mechanix aren't kosher though.
>>94844Personally i would get a CYMA platinum MP5 or at least the high speed version. The other ones are simply too sluggish
>>93532Firing mechanism coming along nicely. Trying to make it with as few moving parts as possible and drawn so it prints with very little, if any, support needed.
>>94992fillet those corners bro for stress relief
>>94992Looks great! I gotta know what type of rounds you are planning on using. From the looks of your previous posts taginns are going to kick ass with your launcher
>>94997Yeah this is all just 'does it physically work' modelling at the moment. Going to get it all designed and then do up a test section with just the mechanism and a bit of tube to make sure it works.
>>94998At the moment it's going to be the cheapest 40mm gas rounds I can get my hands on! One of those BB shower ones I think. Can get one for about £30.
>>95001Nothing wrong with that. My first 40mm rounds were shower shells until I was able to afford taginn shells. Had the shells for 3 months before ever getting tag rounds lol! I launched small and extra small Kong brand tennis balls in game and for the dog
>>93682yes. airsoft is superior to flat range shit.
>>94896>The impact mechanix aren't kosher though.I need the flight gloves like the black hawk ones the impacts are for Sobr Terek.
>>95021Terek is such a goofy kit. The chechens use whatever the fuck they want.
>>95040>Terek is such a goofy kitRepent
>>95041Ah yesThe Terek exclusive UF ProsI love my multicam set
>>95043>Terek exclusiveNah its I just like the color.
>>95047>>95043Imagine Ufpros in >DPM>DPM desert> Coyote Tan>OD Green
>>95047No they're literally the only unit that wears that color of Striker XTs.
>>95050Yeah and I like
Where are the metal pellet or bb airgun threads at on 4chan. Or are there none ?
An old build i made. Its not like this anymore.
>>95061>Its not like this anymoreI'm happy to hear that
>>92868Kringkov springer and p226 pistol from shortyusa i think.
>>93238I remember doing this. Not only was I stupid enough to fall for the sniper meme back in 2009, the local shops didn't carry any ammo heavier than .32 . Fun times running around with a jg bsar shooting 450fps with a .30 because they ran out of .32s.
is it just me but snipers are the biggest wankers bcos they literally rely on my range is bigger than yours to win any fight
>>95085Based on shit that keeps happening at my local field, I really really fucking want an LCT SVD tuned to throw .4 bowling balls.
>>95104If your primary wasn't shit you'd be able to cope. My 74M is good enough to reach out to any reasonable sniping distance with minute of man accuracy, which isn't ideal but dumping a quarter of a midcap at his hide usually puts enough plastic in the air to make it to him. But I've got mine tuned for a bit longer distance than usual.
>>95104most snipers are kids who watched novritsch videos and have no idea what they are doing so they aren't really a threat
>>95184Our local sniper is a trip. A few months ago he got accused of full autoing people. With a bolt gun. He's fuckin great to watch when you're not playing, you can hear them fucking bowling balls sail.
Question about WE AKs. I wanna tacticool the fuck out of a gas blowback ak and WE AKs seem to be affordable and generally use-able. Heard GHK AKs and them are relatively similar in terms of builds does anyone know if I could interchange the external parts? Specifically the gas tube, furniture, and stock is what im thinking of changing out.
Wow UK websites have almost nothing in stock anymore.>taiwangun still wont ship here after brexitguh
>>95201TG won't ship out of principle or what?
>>95207according to them it's because of customs stopping deliveries
>>95201Tell me about itI want a G3 and while I probably shouldn't be buying it because it's too much money right now, the only thing stopping me was the availability on UK sites
>>95201tfw just wanna buy a flat dark earth evo from patrolbase but cant
>>95336Who else would I buy from? JD? Do not make me laugh.
>>95360Patrolbase is a shit retailer. They sell "new" guns even though they clearly have been fucked with
>>95361Is this true? Who would you recommend in the UK then?
>>95069This is what it looks like now.
I've heard you're supposed to use heavier bbs with a rhop?does anyone know if you use .30 or .32s? and what's the difference?
>>95434Not that you can't use rhop with lighter BBs, it is still going to improve the spin, but heavier BBs benefit more from the mod if the stock hop is not spinning them enough or efficiently enough.
>>92868>ruger p-89that was my first actual real guncheaper than most LCTs and krytacs
>>95466gotcha, thanks manI'll try .30s
>>93843>if you're shooting someone beyond the effective range of airsoft by default you're attempting to murder someoneGood point. It's probably a good idea to figure out how to deal with such people. Fire back, perhaps?
>>95548Or just leave.
>>95549That always works and it's always that simple, which is why things like suppressive fire and peel tactics don't exist.
>>95550Where are you that this is a possible scenario, where someone is shooting at you from several blocks away and you and your companions are equally armed to the teeth?Just get in your car and drive away, or was it "take your bike to work" day?
>>95567I'm not a zoo animal, I don't live in the city. I'm not likely to get shot at out here but if it were to happen it would probably be a poacher with a rifle somewhere on my property. If food prices and availability get worse the possibility of organized gangs spilling out of the city for South Africa style farm attacks increases, as well, and there's about 85 yards of flat open terrain between my house and the road.
>>95567>you and your companions are equally armed to the teethI'd also add that several of my shooting buddies can hit man steel (at least one can hit much smaller targets, but he's from a much more competitive shooting background than the rest of us) with their carry pistols at 100 yards, which is definitely getting towards the limits of effective range of airsoft. You don't need to be "armed to the teeth" to shoot past normal airsoft ranges, you just need a reasonable-quality relatively-modern pistol with which you actually routinely practice.
>>94264That's pretty cool, I like the green shine it's got.
I just started airsoft, my friends and I shoot in our yards but the nearest real field is 90 minutes away so I've only really been twice. Loved it, great exercise, had 16k steps during play. I just bought this scarL so I don't have to use rentals and just threw a sticker on the gun, then shaped it with an xacto knife, it looks rough up close but from a few feet away it looks fine. Threw some on a midcap mag too. The field is having a night event on the 20th so I'm gonna add a tracer to it and a flashlight for that.
What is everyone's experience with grenade launchers at their local fields? Special rules? Restrictions? Reactions? Fun?
>>95595Only used to clear rooms. Call it, aim towards the ground, everyone inside is considered dead.
>>93532Well done some test prints on the firing assembly and rear sight, the front shroud, front hoop and front sight. All came out OK I think. Just need to get the plastic tube and do a test fit before I scale everything up/down to fit the tube.
>>93532Happy with how the front shroud turned out.
>>95595I'm the explosives guy on my team and known to the local field as the taginn dude. Only thing I've been asked is to not beam people with a taginn round. Field is fine with me using extra small Kong tennis balls and MilsimLabs rounds for direct hits, bunker busters with honored kill radius. Thankfully due to costs of taginn shells no idiots who would give launchers a bad name can afford that life in my area>>95601Bro I am oozing excitement seeing your parts! God speed fellow launcher bro!
>>95594beside its fucking cringe there are kids in a field have some fucking decency
>>95600what is the propellant? a big ass spring?
>>95594>those stickersDo you get a kick out of humiliating yourself in public?
stupid question but if i buy a airsoft gun where the recommended bb weight is max .25 and i want to use heavier bb's would it be enough to swap out the rubber or is there more that needs to be changed?
>>95684>needDepends on what you are trying to achieve with heavier BB in a stock gun, if all you want is tighter grouping in short range then you don't need to do anything, not even messing with the hob
>>95594>Those stickers>That foregripIf you're going for the worst possible primary then you're doing well
>>92957Yeah, but an airsoft gun is an extremely queer substitute for the real thing.
>>95608There's no nudity on it, it's just drawings on a mag, no one can tell what it is from more than 5 feet away. >>95670I come to the field with friends and just really enjoy anime. No one's ever really pointed it out, I don't see how what I enjoy is different from the mil sim cosplay. Every regular there is nice, I don't think any of it is cringe. >>95688I'm fine with that.
>>95689How are they even similar? If someone's breaking into your house, nobody is going to grab an airsoft gun believing it's a suitable "substitute". And when going to play airsoft, no one is going to bring their real steel because it will up their game. There is no overlap, other than photo ops.
>>95689I didn't buy airsoft until after I had a bunch of real guns. They're different things for different purposes.
>>95743Yeah same. I literally didn't buy any airshit until I was 29 and had 15 real guns.
EU bros, how do you avoid vat and customs when buying from kyairsoft? I'm eyeing up the 79 dollar WE g17, but I don't want to be raped by customs.
Evening lads. Does anyone know where to get the TM 7.2v batteries for the MP7 AEP in the UK? Everywhere I usually check seems to be out of stock.
>>95773you avoid paying customs by paying VAT
>>95773I don't even ask anything I just place the order and the seller marks my multiple kilos $200 order as a $20 fishing vest and it passes through
>>95781thank you anon, which part of Europe are you from?
>>95577i'm sorry, but no. you don't exchange fire over 85 yards to resolve fire. you pick up a telephone and bunker down. if your communications network is less developed than your rifle collection maybe you need to take a sit and rethink things, because any woman that settles down with you into that hellhole is the woman organizing the raid that is looking to exchange fire with you.
>>95773Shipping and possible custom fees may mean it costs basically the same as buying in you own country. I only buy from HK if I can't buy the same hung over here e.g. nice markings etc.
>>93532Well all the external stuff is drawn. Need to get a hold of the plastic tube to finally check the diameter and wall thickness for a final fit....then it's designing and fitting the internals.
>>95918Ultra rad. Please tell me you have a plan to launch tags without a shitty shell that doesn't push them hard enough.
why is it that J.G doesn't make any midcaps? Like this rifle is cool, and i want to get it just for the shell so i can upgrade it internally, but they only make midcaps for them which i'm not interested in at all
>>95971>but they only make midcapshighcaps* d'oh
>>95835Look up law enforcement response times and compare that to how quickly a man inside or outside of a vehicle can close 85 yards should he be unimpeded and motivated to perform acts in the style of South African farm attacks. I have phone, internet and ham radio contacts in the region but I don't have any instantaneous summoning talismans or teleportation machines to get a cop with shoddy marksmanship here faster than the <2 seconds it takes me to draw and fire from concealment. If you have a workaround do let me know.
>>95975I would just walk up to your house while you're sleeping and shoot you. But that's just me not wanting to get into some crazy long range firefight to steal some carrots.
>>95971MAG make 100rd midcaps. They're a tight fit in the JG, but they feed well.https://www.ebay.com/itm/282669962999?hash=item41d07156f7:g:GvUAAOSw4R1Zyi3e
Are all the parts in there. I'll buy it off you lol
Is the VFC Cold M733 now available to buy?
>>95975Ok. Let's go over this again. There is a man approaching your property with a rifle. Your instinct is to draw your pistol, and start engaging over 85 yards. My instinct is to alert authorities, and bunker down with the intent to minimize the range the aggressor can afford themselves in firing upon by me by restricting their field of view in targeting me. In doing so it is my intention that I would deny them the ability to counter strike when I defend myself and my family because in firing within ten yards my first shot yields the first down.
>>96018Lads it's a fucking airsoft general, stop being autistic
>>96041But autism is a prerequisite for airsoft.
What are you guy's opinion on HPA? I never see anyone in these threads with a tapped gun. I personally really like mine so far.
>>96059My autism doesn't allow the hose. The times I've used them however they're absolutely goofy.
>>96041fuck off back to reception piglet
>>96059it's a gimp as is co2.
>>96061me too, also carrying a big ass tank looks stupid and damage mobility
>>96003I think yeah
>>96088Based, now to order one and tell them to mark it as a £20 backpack so I don't get stung for VAT and customs fees
Do you guys have any advice for cheap decent looking WW2 replicas? They can be battery or rifle springers i don't really care, i want to get into airsoft with my friend group but i don't like how newer guns look
>>96138Cheapest is AGM MP40 or CYMA Thompson
>>96138>don't like how newer guns lookCheap decent "exotic" guns do not exist, do you just want to cosplay or are you playing the game?
>>96059I like HPAs, own a Tippmann. Much easier to work on then AEGs, sound intimidating and you never forget to charge a battery since you just get the HPA tanks filled the day before game day.>>96061I have ran the Tippy with the tank directly attached and with the gimp line, the line doesn't bother me but I am biased because I came from paintball.>>96081If you get a high capacity/light weight carbon fiber tank it really doesn't bother you. Mags in the front, tank on the back, balance it out.>>96077I gotta disagree, co2 guns are the only pistols that work in cold weather and it's nice to not have to constantly top off green gas/propane. I ran a WinGun revolver in CQB and it was very consistent.
>>96081I thought it would hurt my mobility too, but it surprised me how well I could move with it. And if you already run some kind of backpack it probably won't change anything. I'm using picrel, it's quite light.
>>92864Is it cringe if I play airsoft in my 30s? I browsed my local community's facebook and it seems like it's full of teenagers.
>>96158Play outdoors and it will mostly be older guys. My field got a good mix of guys in their early 20’s and 30/40/50 year olds. There’s even a dude that’s mid 60’s who plays with a dye mask and a HPA tapped pistol. Dudes fast for his age too
>>96154>I have ran the Tippy with the tank directly attached and with the gimp line, the line doesn't bother me but I am biased because I came from paintball.Im a .mil nerd first and airsofter second, so air lines coming off a rifle just impinge upon me wrong.
>>96157This, if you've got decent LBE already you can shove a tank into a dump pouch or admin pouch on the back of your belt system. It's not that intrusive.I just hate the way the hose makes it look like a toy.
>>96158>what will the popular kids think of meStop being a fucking faggot and just do something you enjoy. Some of the people I play with are pushing 60
>>96158I bloody hope not. I'm 38 and just started up again after having a ten year break or so. Most of the guys I was playing with were 25 - 45
>>96158I'm 32 and my local field is about 60/40 in the old vs young department. Luckily my local doesn't get many South Park caricatures here in the Gulf Coast.
>>96150I'd say more on the cosplay side being totally honest>>96149i heard good things about the CYMA Thompson, it's probably gonna be my go toIs there any decent bolt action rifle?
>>96185>decentno, not really.
>went for 3 asg events>bought this>can be only shipped via fregate so will wait 2 monthsanons why did I do this?
>>96185S&T Kar98k and SMLE look neat.
