What do you think of airsoft grenades? How they should be used, ones to get, rules, etc.
Second do you like my handling of the threads?

Shouldn't.

If you want me to call a shot with your nade, shit needs to throw BBs at me.
Using firecrackers and shit and establishing some make-believe rules others have to follow is gay as fuck. Almost as gay telling others to submit to your bang rule
>>
>>67653
Old thread is still on page 2, no need for a new thread in such a slow moving board.
>>

I'm cool with most rules for them but Thunder B's should never be allowed indoors unless you want your players to have permanent hearing damage

AFAIK TAG-Inn basically said they're refusing to export to the United States until they have 100% confirmation (whether through some added clarity or an exemption) that they're not going to be affected by the Biden administration's budget ammo ban-- I mean, import sanctions against Russia
With TAG-Inn being a Russian company, I'd imagine it's rather important that they get 100% confirmation they're legally allowed to sell pyrotechnics to a country that just put import sanctions on Russian ammo, but until that happens I'm guessing they're going to become at least a bit harder to find than usual

when did this fucking board become a thing? I've been for like a 18 months and I'm either going insane or there's a bunch of new fucking boards what the fuck is going on I swear there weren't any vtuber and wrestling boards before but the captcha is also differnt but I remember this captcha was before the captcha before
>>
>>67710
I didn't pay much attention, but I'm pretty sure a shitload of these boards must've been made around February, or at the very least this one was; I'm personally happy about it, since it means we can finally have threads like this instead of every single one being completely buried in nonstop hornyposting about female wrestlers (which is now in /pw/, last I checked)
>>
>>67714
I like that we have somewhere to call our own where we can talk about toy guns, and we get much less shit from the autists on /k/ (though I imagine there's a lot of crossover between here and there)
>>
Aside from the incompatible side mount and recoil stopping pin on the PSO-1 and AK, is there anything that would prevent a PSO from fitting an AK (more specifically the LCT AK74)? In this video the guy says (@21:36) that because of the height of the receiver, the PSO just does not fit onto the AK. Is this true for every AK model, does anyone know?

the guy from the store still hasn't answered if the PSO fits on the AK. motherfuucker doesnt want my money.

Don't know if the LCT dust cover sits higher since it is airsoft but the scope he's got in the video is larger and sits lower than the scope you're buying.
>>

Interesting. I'm guessing the reason he slides it from the front is to avoid the stopping pin blocking it from fitting at all? But apparently it *does* physically fit the gun, at least.

hakkatsu with thunder b. As for whether sound bangs should count as kills, I think it depends on your field. Mine has them count due to Pyro not being able to be used during dry season.

BB grenades have their own problem. Some have poor spread, some might spread fine, but fail to hit people close by because random. So you wind up with the problem of someone throwing one into a room to clear it, and the ensuing argument of "The BB's didn't hit me!" "You were 5 ft away!" "Nothing hit!" etc... You wind up with rules that grenades now have automatic xx-ft kill zone, in which case, it doesn't matter if it's a BB or a bang grenade. At least that's how we got where we are where we are.
>>
>>68022
The absolute best thing to use in BB spread grenades is skittles, better weight, good ballistics and they make noise when they hit so you know. I use that shit with my RC claymore and it always seems to work.

I also have an AI 22 bang grenade that honestly is just fun to scare people with more than to use on the field

We require grenades to blow BB's out of them and not be pyrotechnic. If the grenade lands in a room you are in then you die even if the bb's dont get realeased because the ground being sand sucks for grenades.

Gonna get this scope by the end of the week so Im gonna post how it handles. The price for it is disturbingly low but I decided to try.

Based or Cringe?
>>
>>68206
If it is the mechanical reaper M version, cringe. If it is the inferno gen2 then you are fine. Their design could be a bit better, but it fixes 90% of all HPA build issues when you use an AEG body. Biggest suggestion is to not fuck with the hop up that comes with the forged models. It seems like a lot of people are shit at tuning them and end up with a poorly performing gun and get upset.

Only grenades that throw out a shower of bbs should count, I'm tired of fat fucks reeing to the equally overweight field ref about his stupid kill radius. Build your own. There's lots of instructions to make a nerf one into aeg.

The "official" one isn't even a bullpup
>>
So, after a year without playing, I finally went to a game last weekend. Both my jg aug and my umarex g17 were dirty as fuck, sitting in their cases for a year, but I cleaned them beforehand.
But in the game I noticed my AUG failing to shoot a bb, then shooting 2 the next shot. When I got home, I took the barrel out to store it, and the hop up adjustment simply fell out.
Question is, does anyone make upgraded hop up units for quick-change barrel AUGs? The original are all plastic, and it simply doesn't hold zero.
>>
>>69036
I know G&P use to, and I am fairly certain Lonex does as well.
>>
>>68939
I have that (or a copy of it). You can try to reform the mesh. You can also try to use foam to add some cushion.

In the end, I still didn't like the way it felt around the head.
>>
I've got a slickster and a set of Evike's "lightweight dummy plates" on the way, what should i fill my plates with?
I was considering either expanding/filling foam or pouring fine sand into it, is there a better option? don't suggest EVA foam.
>>
>>69097
Personally I wouldn't fill them. If you wanted weighted training plates buy proper weighted training plates. If you are filling them to be more rigid you really don't need to do that. All filling will do is add more weight, and trap more heat. I have started to only run chest rig setups because fuck plate carriers in the middle of summer down south.

>>69100
>>
>>69130
This desu. I mean airsoft is limited by a lot of factors but it also gives a lot of freedom because it's not limited by others (the only really universally agreed thing is wearing eyepro). In the end its meant to be enjoyed like a video game. If you don't like something then it's a valid enough reason to say nah.
Of course people organising events have as much say in that, and their vision is also to be respected or else we can take our business elsewhere.

I think any kangaroo pouch can do that. Get a holster insert (or make your own) and j-j-j-jam it in. If it has velcro, securing it inside the pouch is even easier. I have a knife sheath that I stuck velcro on and it's secure in the pouch.

Does it have any faults? I should probably watch an in-depth review but I'm mostly interested in "deal-breakers" and reviews don't often mention these.
I'm stuck between wanting a MTW (despite not really digging AR15 all that much) and Scorpion. Researching stock options I found a MCX and I'm very interested in it.

Just bought a PSO scope and uhh fellas, is it supposed to look so dim in 12-16pm daylight? even with the illumination on the reticle is just veeery discrete (actually illumination literally does no difference except in like, dusk and darker enviroments). also, do i just have to live with the reticle not being where my shots go? already set it to the max it can go in windage adjustment, and mmy shots still hit at the 10 mark.

Very nice. That's what I wanted to hear.

>>
>>69579
My PSO fits perfectly onto the AK style side rail. The only issues are that you can't really leave the front sun cover extended without it scratching the rear sight and maybe pushing the scope to the sight. Oh, that and the bulb bit scratches the dust cover a little bit, but aside from that, fits perfectly if you slide it from the front.

The bang grenades don't even really work as a minimum distance rule either because it's so loud that most players can't tell whether a grenade was near them or not. I go to an outdoor field and those bang grenade up close sound the same as they do a good twenty feet away. It's too loud to understand if you were the target or not. I get BB nades aren't very useful, but God damn they're at least hitting people.

TCA also has chopper rides for $150 to $200 but yeah it's for people with deep pockets and a youtube channel IMO. Would be fun to ride if I would be able to launch some tag rounds at enemy players. Doubt it is safe or possible to do so
>>
>>69656
You can totally launch tag rounds from a helio. People were doing it at Serious Viking 3 with TCA. Even then though like you mentioned it is mostly for people who just want to drop money for the experience. The rides are fairly short.
>>
>>69657
Not worth the cash to me. Would only be cool for video clout and the lulz. I'd rent NVGs at a TCA event before the helo ride.
I'm curious to know if you went to Bonestrike 4 or 5.
>>
>>69518
I have a launcher on all 3 of my rifles. It's an expensive game though. I have 5 tag shells and 3 shower shells. To be cheap I launch small Kong tennis balls out the tag shells. Any empty shell will launch a small tennis ball/stress ball out of a M320.

>Also don't want to just buy guns I'll never use considering I now have a GBBR, a GBB SMG, a GBB pistol and an AEG backup
I feel I have the exact opposite mentality to airsoft that I do to firearms. I want precisely enough airsoft guns to cover what I need covered and nothing more, sidearm, CQB gun, field gun,and possibly DMR. That's it.
I will buy literally any firearm that I think is cool and I can afford. I've bought five so far this year. I have two more ordered.

>>
>>69839
Tag stuff is fine IIRC, Airsoft is basically all completely fine to own with no special permits as long as you can prove you actually play it (Which is dumb in itself)

I'm based out of the UK and the gun clubs are all ran by inept boomers who haven't let new people join in 4 years and the latest shooting fiasco has ensured they're even more paranoid about who to let join since it's the main hurdle to getting a firearms cert

>>
>>69967
I'm actually kinda impressed you managed to do that just reloading, but in all seriousness tune down the retard strength. You are naturally going to have wear and tear, but you will have a lot less if you just treat your stuff nicely. There is no reason to be ripping mags, or in your case most likely doing that "tac" reload where you hit the mag & latch from behind. That is legit the only way I can think of you busting your handguard reloading unless you have the motor control of Michael J. Fox.

Like >>69974 mentioned you damaged the wood and completely removed the finish. So either you have to strip it all the way down and refinish, or get a new handguard. I had one of the G&G "veteran" m14 that came with an oak stock for years and never damaged it like you did to that handguard.
>>
>>70035
>"tac" reload where you hit the mag & latch from behind
exactly. i'll probably be refinishing it soon, then. what should i do to preserve it, aside from abstaining from absolutely sending it when reloading? cause like, putting your gun over cover, stabilizing it, that stuff will ruin my handguard won't it?
>>
>>70043
>cause like, putting your gun over cover, stabilizing it, that stuff will ruin my handguard won't it?
If you are smacking your gun into cover, or letting the full weight of it rest on it, then yes it will eventually get ruined. If you are just holding the wooden portions it will take a VERY long time for you to wear the finish down, and even then it will look kinda tasteful as a properly used "battle worn" AK. Regardless of what your furniture is made of it is going to have wear, that being said wood will have more of it then polymer most of the time. The best way to protect it is to simply not abuse it, as there is not much more you can do.

>>
>>70260
CYMA, LCT, and E&L are the go to choices for AK models. All of them are fairly reliable with CYMA being the budget option, with E&L and LCT being the higher end. LCT tends to be more popular then E&L. All the manufacturers have small drawbacks or quirks.
>CYMA comes with terrible barrel and hop up rubber
>LCT had kinda anemic motors
>E&L bodies will start rusting if not taken care of
My personal favorite 74 i have ever owned was a CYMA with the fixed wood stock. Had a ton of battery space in comparison to trying to fit one under the dust cover.

Go to home depot or lowes and pick up a generic 3m respirator set. They have filters rated for asbestos iirc.

You don't get cancer from a few hours of exposure to asbestos. You get it from constant and repeated exposure over years or a shit load in your lungs over a few weeks.

Trying to get metal slides into the country would be what some would refer to as "an absolute bitch" and cost as much as the gun itself, which may cause issues in warmer weather
Granted, the Canadian market price is retardedly jacked up (an $80-90USD gun being jacked up to $280CAD because it's a new release while a $140-150USD gun is at $320CAD) so I am considering it, with my main concern just being summertime durability and possibly added wear with a can if I go and get the Detonator threaded barrel - I know it's one of the more recent TM designs and is probably beefed up a bit compared to older ones, but still
Basically, it's metal OOTB with the same parts compatibility, a blank slate for trades and presumably slightly tougher internals versus plastic OOTB with tighter tolerances and standard USP trades but potential issues with propane during warmer weather
The only reason I was leaning towards SRC's model was because it seemed fine enough, it has a metal slide and it presumably has full TM compatibility for replacement parts, but I may consider TM solely due to how ridiculously overpriced pistols in the Canadian market are that aren't either extremely common or KJW/WE, and because I already have a KJW Glock as a warm-weather pistol

Yea exactly. I do see that on Taiwaungun pretty much every gun there offers lower FPS options, so i could just get one with that and it should be fine out of the box
>>70525
No sorry, i'm still very new to this sport
>>
>>70482
more like muzzle break lmao
>>

There are some models with quick change springs, but if you are new you want one with a "true quick change spring." These models allow you to swap a spring without taking anything apart. The Arcturus AK12 I know can do this since I own it. Certain other models require you to remove the gearbox to to access the quick change system.

That being said like you mentioned Taiwangun offers lower FPS options, and is a pretty reputable vendor. Like I previously mentioned you can also have a field or tech swap the spring which is what Taiwangun is doing for you.
>>
>>70526
If you plan on replacing a spring in the future be mindful that you might get something called overspin. That means instead of semi you'll get burst in semi because the motor overspins because the spring is too weak. Mostly happens when you use 11.1V Li-Pos

You don't specifically say what kind of games you're playing. Newbies in skirmishes don't really need anything more than an extra high-cap and ammo. Cargo pants with big pockets or a battle belt with a couple mag pouches would be fine. Newbies can also borrow your extra gear until they decide to buy their own.

He doesn't, that's why he's asking for advice on which gun to get.

Why is the paintball thread so dead compared to this one? At least going off irl fields in my area I always thought paintball was like twice as relevant.
>>
>>70533
Nobody cares about paintball in my country
>>
>>70536
yea same. There are quite a lot of airsoft events here, but paintball is pretty much only for bachelors parties or work outings
>>
>>70533
the future is now, old man
>>
>>70533
Your area sounds irrelevant. Does they also still use Blackberrys?
>>
>>70533
Paintball from just a cost perspective is just more expensive so you are going to have a smaller playerbase. It also runs into legal issues in some parts of the world which limit airguns to a certain joule limit.

The real reason /asg/ has more traffic is because of the natural overlap with /k/ autism. People think guns are cool, and guns are banned or heavily restricted for plebs in most of the world. Airsoft is their alternative.

I'm an americlap
I kind of forgot most of europe is airsoftpilled and paintball isn't really relevant there

Personally I love paintball designs and technology and I think paintballs are neat but airsoft just seems like a more cost-efficient and enjoyable game overall
>>
>>70546
>more cost-efficient and enjoyable game

This kills the paintball.
>>
>>70533
I would love to join a paintball scene, but it would have to be some sort of competition. For my own personal enjoyment I prefer airsoft, even though the game part itself has some issues.
>>
>>70506
There's this Helikon training chest rig or something, 80€, very little modularity but it has all you need.
>>
>>70545
This. Also it's easier to transition to real firearms from airsoft
>>
I had some acrylic lying around and decided to make a lens cover after my buddy had his scope shatter just the other day. Will acrylic even do anything? it's like 3mm thick. what about 2 pieces of 3mm? lol. i also need to find a better way of mounting them onto my scope... this looks like shit and doesn't hold the pieces.
>>
I think paintball is popular with casual people who come in for fun one time on a weekend and then never again until the next decade so the amount of players might be near airsoft but airsoft has a lot of dedicated players (Paintball is like this in my area at least)
>>
>>70558
You will never transition to real firearms. You've got no gunpowder, you've got no effective range of 300m, you've got no recoil
>>
>>70558
You will probably have bad habits from airsoft if your not careful
>>
Still looking for 3X magnifiers, anyone got recommendations?

Yeah I need to stop pre-firing corners
>>70584
I thought it was alright at the gun range just firing .22
Not too comfortable with those prices
>>
>>70562
$5-10 will get your a plenty large sheet of polycarbonate, which won't shatter like acrylic. Polycarbonate goes by many brand names.

I sometimes catch myself not properly shouldering my gun and start feeling dirty. Although sometimes war crimes are necessary to get results I guess.

25% discount ACOG?

I'll never understand retards putting high mount optics on AK replicas.

Is this gun any good?

I personally would only recommend A&k for their lmg series.
>>

Put on full face protection. You'll understand.
Also because it's clone correct.

I made a custom facemask similar to this. Cut out some mesh from those cheap mesh masks and made a mask that covers just the teeth
>>
>>70733
If it works, it works. Im getting shot in the face lately much too often that I wouldnt be comfortable with that. I got hit in the dome from a DMR for the third time in 2 weeks.
>but only the top of your hat was sticking out lol
Yeah go fuck yourself, take that 2 joule bb to your head and tell me how it feels. Im so pissed that for the 1st time in my 10 years of playing Im gonna make a fucking FPS monster and not feel bad about it

bump caps
https://www.amazon.com/Black-Baseball-Bump-Cap-Lightweight/dp/B00AMUXWTE
>>
>>70746
I tried those but they give you a distinctive egghead look. Better to just get a nice helmet
>>
>>70747
fair enough
cheapest I'd go for a helmet would be the PTS MTEK Flux
>>
What's the nicest helmet repro? I could get a real one though it feels kinda overkill.
>>
>>70748
I'll give it a look when I can consoom again.
>>
>>70731
I bought a neck gaiter with a bit of steel mesh to cover my mouth built in
>>
>>70751
Not a fan of covering my mouth and nose, with my eye protection and sweatiness it usually ends in fogged up glasses. Id rather look silly but see where Im going.
>>
>>70752
As long as I don't cover my nose the neck gaiter+mesh works for me.
>>
>>70752
>PTS MTEK Flux
It's a mesh neck gaiter, and the nose isn't covered
>>
>>70734

Just keep a can of .40g Cheater Deleters on hand and don't worry about it.
